The Mahim Dargah situated in Mumbai is dedicated to Makhdoom Ali Mahimi. He was a Muslim Scholar originating from the Konkan Region in India. Mahimi was born into a family of Arab travellers from Iraq who had settled down on the island of Mahim, one of the seven islands that later formed the city of Bombay. Mahimis reputation grew after the Sultan of Gujarat, Ahmed Shah of the Muzaffarid dynasty, chose him to be the towns Qazi. Mahimi was the first Indian scholar to write an exegesis on the Quran, which gained critical appreciation from numerous Islamic scholars including Shah Waliullah. After his death in 1431, he was buried in Mahim. The site later became a dargah for devotees open to all faiths.

1) D`Souza Chawl
A well in the D`souza Chawl area of Mahim has acquired the reputation of being haunted. It is said that a woman, while getting water, fell to her death in the well. Many people claim to have seen the ghostly apparition of that woman near the well during certain nights.
2) Nasserwanj Wadi
Located within a few minutes distance from the Mahim railway station, this place once belonged to a Parsi gentleman named Nasser, who was brutally set on fire and murdered in a cabin close to the wall that is in the compound. This persons spirit still visits this place.
3) Mahim Station
People who travel after 12 during the night, have experienced unusual paranormal things on this station. Many have reported seeing, people like beings suddenly disappear and on some occasions even heard creepy sounds.
4) Naya Nagar
A family of three used to live in one of the rooms in this slum area. The child of the couple started behaving in an unusual manner. This kid started speaking in different languages in different tones. A fakir came to the rescue of this family, who confirmed that the condition of the child was due to a jinn and performed certain rites to get rid of the jinn.
5) Makhdum Nagar
During the time of riots, many of the huts were burnt in this area. According to the locals, the spirit of those people who died in this incident can still be witnessed on several occasions.
6) Ruparel College Hostel
According to ex-students of this college, the hostel area is supposed to be haunted and an idol was placed near this hostel to protect the students from some evil entity.
7) Ram Sakit Building, behind Paradise cinema
There is a sealed well in its compound that is rumored to poses the spirit of a 50 year old Maharashtrian lady Sulochana who died after falling into it 20 years ago. The entire neighborhood believes she still appears during Amavasya and vanishes in the morning. The belief is said to be so strong that a person called Richard, who claims to be the landlord, carries out exorcisms of laying flowers on the well every day, to please the spirit.
8) Mahim Fort
According to the legend, many years ago a prostitute was brutally raped and murdered here, since then the spirit of this woman is said to haunt this place during a night on certain occasions. Incidents like hearing screams of a woman and people being slapped in the face is quite common.
9) Building at LJ Road
According to sources, a flat in one of the buildings on LJ Road is supposed to be haunted by the spirit of its previous owner, who died in this flat. This person who committed suicide was mentally ill and after his death strange paranormal things were experienced in the flat.
10) Sitlaldevi road
After two in the night, there has been sightings of paranormal entities on this road. According to people, these entities come in the form of human being to take the souls of the living with them.

BUT !!! Amazing falooda to have.. it is must try if you are around Mahim.. I would say you should have it whenever you are around Mahim.
Falooda (also Faluda), is a cold beverage popular in Indian subcontinent. Traditionally it is made from mixing rose syrup, vermicelli, psyllium (ispaghol) or basil (sabza/takmaria) seeds, tapioca pearls and pieces of gelatin with milk or water.
Falooda is a version of persian dessert known as faloodeh and is believed to have brought to India during the Mughal period. Vermicelli used for preparing faloodeh is made from arrowroot whereas vermicelli used in the Indian version is usually made from wheat.
The ice was gathered during the winter or carried from the mountain tops and stored in large insulated underground chambers topped by dome structures. This allowed ice to remain available throughout the summer, even in the desert. The best use was made to prepare desserts like faluda. Later on, as techniques improved, rose water and sugar were added with the vermicelli. Today there are many versions of faluda. Some are made without noodles and blended with fruit. One of the Indian versions consists of kulfi, translucent wheat-starch noodles and flavoured syrup. Some faludas are served as milkshakes.
In idiomatic Hindustani, faluda is sometimes used as a reference to something that has been shredded, which is an allusion to the vermicelli noodles. For example, someone who falls into disrepute might say that his or her izzat (honour) has been turned to falooda (इज़्ज़त का फ़ालूदा, عزت کا فالودہ, izzat ka falooda), which is roughly equivalent to saying "my reputation is shot.

Mahim is a neighbourhood in Mumbai. The Mahim railway station is in the Mahim area, on the Mumbai suburban railway on the Western Railway line.
History
The name Mahim is derived from the ancient 'Mahimavati' meaning miraculous in Sanskrit. Other historical names for the area include Maijim, Mejambu, and Mahikawati.
Mahim was one of the seven islands that originally made up Mumbai. Mahim, or Mahikawati as it was known, was the capital of Raja Bhimdev, who reigned over the region in the 13th century. Plot: The poor but educated Mahim and his childhood friend, the rich but conservative Suresh, both fall in love with the same woman, the liberated Achala. Mahim marries her and they move to a village but she cannot forget Suresh. Her smouldering unhappiness takes the form of a resentment towards the orphaned Mrinal, raised by Mahim's father, and receives a dramatically visual embodiment when their house burns down. Mahim falls ill, is rescued by Suresh and nursed back to health by Achala. On a train (a metaphor for the irreversibly linear course of life) to a health-resort where Mahim is supposed to convalesce, Suresh on a rainswept night gives in to temptation and elopes with Achala. At the end of the film, there is a dubious reconciliation as Achala is shown following Mahim's 'good' traditionalism with Saratchandra's barely concealed hostility towards Achala's liberated Brhamo Samaj upbringing.

Mahimi was the first Indian scholar to write an exegesis on the Quran, which gained critical appreciation from numerous Islamic scholars including Shah Waliullah. After his death in 1431, he was buried in Mahim. The site later became a dargah for devotees open to all faiths.

A well in the D`souza Chawl area of Mahim has acquired the reputation of being haunted. It is said that a woman, while getting water, fell to her death in the well. Many people claim to have seen the ghostly apparition of that woman near the well during certain nights.
2) Nasserwanj Wadi
Located within a few minutes distance from the Mahim railway station, this place once belonged to a Parsi gentleman named Nasser, who was brutally set on fire and murdered in a cabin close to the wall that is in the compound. This persons spirit still visits this place.
3) Mahim Station
People who travel after 12 during the night, have experienced unusual paranormal things on this station. Many have reported seeing, people like beings suddenly disappear and on some occasions even heard creepy sounds.
4) Naya Nagar
A family of three used to live in one of the rooms in this slum area. The child of the couple started behaving in an unusual manner. This kid started speaking in different languages in different tones. A fakir came to the rescue of this family, who confirmed that the condition of the child was due to a jinn and performed certain rites to get rid of the jinn.
5) Makhdum Nagar
During the time of riots, many of the huts were burnt in this area. According to the locals, the spirit of those people who died in this incident can still be witnessed on several occasions.
6) Ruparel College Hostel
According to ex-students of this college, the hostel area is supposed to be haunted and an idol was placed near this hostel to protect the students from some evil entity.
7) Ram Sakit Building, behind Paradise cinema
There is a sealed well in its compound that is rumored to poses the spirit of a 50 year old Maharashtrian lady Sulochana who died after falling into it 20 years ago. The entire neighborhood believes she still appears during Amavasya and vanishes in the morning. The belief is said to be so strong that a person called Richard, who claims to be the landlord, carries out exorcisms of laying flowers on the well every day, to please the spirit.

BUT !!! Amazing falooda to have.. it is must try if you are around Mahim.. I would say you should have it whenever you are around Mahim.
Falooda (also Faluda), is a cold beverage popular in Indian subcontinent. Traditionally it is made from mixing rose syrup, vermicelli, psyllium (ispaghol) or basil (sabza/takmaria) seeds, tapioca pearls and pieces of gelatin with milk or water.
Falooda is a version of persian dessert known as faloodeh and is believed to have brought to India during the Mughal period. Vermicelli used for preparing faloodeh is made from arrowroot whereas vermicelli used in the Indian version is usually made from wheat.
The ice was gathered during the winter or carried from the mountain tops and stored in large insulated underground chambers topped by dome structures. This allowed ice to remain available throughout the summer, even in the desert. The best use was made to prepare desserts like faluda. Later on, as techniques improved, rose water and sugar were added with the vermicelli. Today there are many versions of faluda. Some are made without noodles and blended with fruit. One of the Indian versions consists of kulfi, translucent wheat-starch noodles and flavoured syrup. Some faludas are served as milkshakes.
In idiomatic Hindustani, faluda is sometimes used as a reference to something that has been shredded, which is an allusion to the vermicelli noodles. For example, someone who falls into disrepute might say that his or her izzat (honour) has been turned to falooda (इज़्ज़त का फ़ालूदा, عزت کا فالودہ, izzat ka falooda), which is roughly equivalent to saying "my reputation is shot.

Mahim - Mahim - Dharavi bridge is in the derelict state from past 7-8 years, thus disabling to & fro of vehicles from both the sides. Since the bridge is in bad repair, there is traffic congestion all day long troubling commuters. Vehicles can run on only one side, this worsens the situation. Abhay Tamore Ward Head, when reported, said, " Since the bridge is defunct , there is unauthorized parking in the premise. Smokers have made the bridge recreation zone troubling locals and commuters. One of the ends of the bridge has sunk below, therefore vehicles are running on the solo track." Commuters and locals have reported the problem to the concerned authority but there is no action been undertaken.

The Bandra–Worli Sea Link, officially called Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, is a cable-stayed bridge with pre-stressed concrete-steel viaducts on either side that links Bandra in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai. The bridge is a part of the proposed Western Freeway that will link the Western Suburbs to Nariman Point in Mumbai's main business district.
The ₹ 16 billion (US$250 million) bridge was commissioned by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), and built by the Hindustan Construction Company. The first four of the eight lanes of the bridge were opened to the public on 30 June 2009. All eight lanes were opened on 24 March 2010. The sea-link reduces travel time between Bandra and Worli during peak hours from 60–90 minutes to 20–30 minutes. As of 04th May 2017, BWSL had an average daily traffic of around 37,500 vehicles.
