Ghost Story or Ghost Stories may refer to:
David (/ˈdeɪvɪd/; Hebrew: דָּוִד, Modern David, Tiberian Dāwîḏ;ISO 259-3 Dawid; Arabic: داوُد Dāwūd; Syriac: ܕܘܝܕ Dawid; Ancient Greek: Δαυίδ; Latin: Davidus, David; Strong's: Daveed) was, according to the Books of Samuel, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel, and according to the New Testament, an ancestor of Jesus. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040 – 970 BCE, his reign over Judah c. 1010–970 BCE.
The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only Old Testament sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan Stele (dated c. 850–835 BCE) contains the phrase בית דוד (bytdwd), read as "House of David", which many scholars confirm to be a likely plausible match to the existence in the mid-9th century BCE of a Judean royal dynasty called the House of David.
Depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, and a poet and musician credited for composing much of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms, King David is widely viewed as a righteous and effective king in battle and civil justice. He is described as a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22.
Caleb Casey McGuire Affleck-Boldt (born August 12, 1975), better known as Casey Affleck, is an American actor, film director, screenwriter and producer. He first came to attention for his performances in Gus Van Sant's films To Die For (1995), Good Will Hunting (1997) and Gerry (2002). He appeared in Ocean's Trilogy (2001–2007), a caper comedy series, as Virgil Maloy.
Affleck gained widespread recognition in 2007, starring in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and Gone Baby Gone, directed by his brother Ben. In 2010, he directed the mockumentary I'm Still Here, starring his brother-in-law Joaquin Phoenix. He also received critical acclaim for his performance in Out of the Furnace and Ain't Them Bodies Saints (both 2013).
Affleck was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts. He has English, Irish, German, Scottish, French, and Swedish ancestry. His mother, Christopher Anne "Chris" (née Boldt), was raised on New York's Upper East Side by her mother Elizabeth Shaw (née Roberts), director of public information at the Museum of Modern Art for over 30 years, and her mother's second husband, Samuel Shaw, an attorney who served in World War II. Her father, O'Brien "Obie" Boldt, was a Democratic activist and professor of political science at the City University of New York. Chris was educated at Radcliffe College and Harvard University, was a Mississippi freedom rider in the 1960s, and taught at The Brearley School before becoming a public elementary school teacher. One of Affleck's maternal five times great-grandfathers was congressman Adam Rankin Alexander.
Patricia Rooney Mara /ˈmɛərə/ MAIR-ə (born April 17, 1985) is an American actress. She made her screen debut in the slasher film Urban Legends: Bloody Mary (2005) and went on to have a breakout role in the independent coming-of-age drama Tanner Hall (2009), followed by roles in the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street and the biographical drama film The Social Network (2010).
In 2011, Mara portrayed Lisbeth Salander, the title character in David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, based on Stieg Larsson's Millennium book series. She received critical acclaim for her performance and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama. In 2013, she starred in the thriller Side Effects, the independent drama Ain't Them Bodies Saints and the acclaimed sci-fi romantic drama, Her. The following year, she starred in the adventure drama film Trash (2014). In 2015, she garnered further critical acclaim for her performance in Todd Haynes' romantic drama Carol, for which she won the Best Actress Award at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama and the SAG, BAFTA, and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Genres: Family,With "A Ghost Story", acclaimed director David Lowery ("Pete's Dragon") returns with a singular exploration of legacy, loss and the essential human longing for meaning and connection. Recently deceased, a white-sheeted ghost (Academy Award-winner Casey Affleck) returns to his suburban home to console his bereft wife (Academy Award-nominee Rooney Mara), only to find that in his spectral state he has become unstuck in time, forced to watch passively as the life he knew and the woman he loves slowly slip away. Increasingly unmoored, the ghost embarks on a cosmic journey through memory and history, confronting life’s ineffable questions and the enormity of existence. A Ghost Story is a beautiful meditation on place, loss, time, and the enduring nature of the human spirit. By settling on the universal symbol for a spirit, the film invites dialogue around these themes amongst all audience members, whether they profess a specific faith or not. And I was the man who sold the Arabs the moon
The Emirate Princes, their hands manicured
Their servants with luggage, they followed behind
The African concubines, regal and tall
And I was the man who sold the Arabs the moon
They festooned their flags with crescent moons
And I was the man who sold the English the sea
They wanted the afternoon breezes it bore
The sweet smell of spices from over the sea
The afternoon showers it brought during tea
And I was the man who sold the English the sea
I cowered before great battleship guns
And I was the man who sold the Yankees the sky
The black of the night and the blue of the day
The endless horizon of hope and desire
And I was the man who sold the Yankees the sky,
The English the Sea
