Christopher Marlowe, also known as Kit Marlowe (baptised 26 February 1564 – 30 May 1593), was an English playwright, poet and translator of the Elizabethan era. Marlowe was the foremost Elizabethan tragedian of his day. He greatly influenced William Shakespeare, who was born in the same year as Marlowe and who rose to become the pre-eminent Elizabethan playwright after Marlowe's mysterious early death. Marlowe's plays are known for the use of blank verse and their overreaching protagonists.
A warrant was issued for Marlowe's arrest on 18 May 1593. No reason was given for it, though it was thought to be connected to allegations of blasphemy—a manuscript believed to have been written by Marlowe was said to contain "vile heretical conceipts". On 20 May he was brought to the court to attend upon the Privy Council for questioning. There is no record of their having met that day, however, and he was commanded to attend upon them each day thereafter until "licensed to the contrary." Ten days later, he was stabbed to death by Ingram Frizer. Whether the stabbing was connected to his arrest has never been resolved.

Plot: On the 30th May 1593, the same day he eventually meets his fate, Christopher Marlowe uses his good friend Sir Walter Raleigh as a reference to procure a meeting with Shakespeare's sleazy agent, Mark Orfice, at his agency Talented Writers In Theater, (T.W.I.T). Although incompetent and clueless the Agent interviews Marlowe and makes him read from his latest parchment the 'King's Fear'. Marlowe is impressed by the head shots (drawings) of the actors that the Agent represents; Barely Maninuff (Barry Manilow) Chuck Gunnery (Sean Connery) Nigel Blackbum (Micheal Jackson)and Tony Scotchkins (Anthony Hopkins) amongst others. Marlowe leaves his parchments with the agent and exits to meet with his soon to be murderers in Deptford. The agent instantly rings William Shakespeare on the string and goblet phone and pitches Marlowe's parchment, now calling it the 'King's Lair' as if it were his own idea. And hence the rumor is started...

She loves the theatre and would like nothing more than to take to the stage but is forbidden from doing so as only men can be actors. She is also a great admirer of Shakespeare's works. Dressing as a man and going by the name of Thomas Kent, she auditions and is ideal for a part in his next play.
