Sales

A sale is the exchange of a commodity or money as the price of a good or a service.Sales (plural only) is activity related to selling or the amount of sold goods or services in a given time period.

The seller or the provider of the goods or services completes a sale in response to an acquisition, appropriation,requisition or a direct interaction with the buyer at the point of sale. There is a passing of title (property or ownership) of the item, and the settlement of a price, in which agreement is reached on a price for which transfer of ownership of the item will occur. The seller, not the purchaser generally executes the sale and it may be completed prior to the obligation of payment. In the case of indirect interaction, a person who sells goods or service on behalf of the owner is known as salesman or saleswoman.

In common law countries, sales are governed generally by the common law and commercial codes. In the United States, the laws governing sales of goods are somewhat uniform to the extent that most jurisdictions have adopted Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code, albeit with some non-uniform variations.

SALES

SALES is an American guitar-based pop band from Orlando, Florida. The band’s members are musicians Lauren Morgan and Jordan Shih.

In July 2014, the band was named "Ones to Watch" for the second half of 2014 by The Hype Machine for being one the most blogged artists yet to release a long play album.

The band is independent and self-released their first 7" Single renee/tonka time on December 1, 2013 through the music platform Bandcamp.

Artwork for all of the band’s releases is done by collage artist and designer Alana Questell.

History

Morgan (guitar, vocals) and Shih (guitar, programming) formed the band in Orlando, Florida after the longtime friends had been recording music together on and off for several years. Their latest musical project, SALES, is based on vocal and instrumental improvisation as well as sampling.

On January 31, 2014, the first day of the Chinese New Year, the band released their second single titled “chinese new year.” The band subsequently received positive acclaim from music blogs, including CMJ, Stereogum, and Pigeons and Planes. CMJ described the track as a "...sandy, sashaying tune with singer Lauren Morgan’s slightly cooing vocals skipping over upbeat guitars and a little synthy buzz. At least the Year Of The Horse is sounding pretty good so far.”

Grant Cardone

Grant Cardone (born March 21, 1958) is an American motivational speaker and author.

Early life and education

Cardone was born on March 21, 1958, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. His father was Curtis Louis Cardone (died February 1968) and his mother was Concetta Neil Cardone (died May 2009). He has a twin brother, Gary Cardone, and is the fourth of five children.

Cardone graduated from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles in 1976. He then went to McNeese State University from 1976-1981 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Cardone was awarded the McNeese State University Distinguished Alumnus Award 2010.

Career

In 1987, Cardone moved to Chicago to work for a sales-training company. Although he lived in Chicago, he traveled all over the United States, living in different cities. Grant briefly returned to Lake Charles before moving to Houston, Texas, where he lived for the next five years. He then spent the next 12 years in La Jolla, California, before moving to Los Angeles.
