The Standard may refer to:
The Standard Hotels are a group of five boutique hotels in Los Angeles (Hollywood and Downtown LA), New York City (Meatpacking District and East Village) and Miami Beach. The hotels are operated by Standard International Management.
The first Standard Hotel, The Standard Hollywood, opened on the Sunset Strip in 1999 in West Hollywood, California. It was opened by Andre Balazs Properties.
The building that now houses The Standard, Hollywood, was originally built in 1962 as the Thunderbird Motel, and had become a retirement home when Balazs purchased and remodeled it. Original investors in the Hollywood hotel were Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Benicio del Toro, D'arcy Wretzky and James Iha.
In 2002, a twelve-story, marble-clad building formerly known as Superior Oil Company Building (completed in 1956) was converted into The Standard Downtown LA. The renovation was designed by Koning Eizenberg Architecture, Inc., and included the addition of a roof-top pool and bar, and a two-story lobby space reconfigured from the old banking hall. In 2003, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Standard, High Line, formerly The Standard, is an 18-story luxury boutique hotel located at 848 Washington Street between West 13th and Little West 12th Streets in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan, New York City. It stands 57 feet (17 m) above street level, above the High Line, a former elevated railroad track reconstructed into a linear park. The hotel, which has 337 guest rooms, was designed by the architects Ennead Architects (formerly Polshek Partnership) and was completed in 2009. Architype Review, an online architecture publication, heralded the hotel as being "straightforward, [and] thoughtfully conceived, [something] that is all too rare in the City today."
Hotelier André Balazs commissioned the building of the Standard. Although he owns a chain of hotels, this was the first he has actually built from the ground up. The hotel is located within the Meatpacking District. Most of the area is occupied by two-story 19th and 20th century manufacturing lofts and industrial buildings which were once predominantly occupied by meat packers and butchers, but which now house restaurants, boutiques and high-end retailers. The clients and architects wanted the hotel to "reflect the historic feel of the neighborhood." Joseph Minutillo, a critic for Architectural Record noted, "the Standard is sleek and gritty at the same time, echoing its Meatpacking District neighborhood, where high-end fashion showrooms and pricey art galleries have supplanted bloody butcher shops and no-frills warehouses."
Standard may refer to:
Any norm, convention or requirement
Los Angeles (i/lɒs ˈændʒəlᵻs/ loss AN-jə-ləs or loss AN-jə-liss) (Spanish for "The Angels"), officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-largest city in the United States after New York City, the most populous city in the state of California, and the county seat of Los Angeles County.
Situated in Southern California, Los Angeles is known for its mediterranean climate, ethnic diversity, sprawling metropolis, and as a major center of the American entertainment industry. Los Angeles lies in a large coastal basin surrounded on three sides by mountains reaching up to and over 10,000 feet (3,000 m).
Historically home to the Chumash and Tongva, Los Angeles was claimed by Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo for Spain in 1542 along with the rest of what would become Alta California. The city was officially founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, thereby becoming part of the United States. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California achieved statehood. The city experienced rapid growth with the discovery of oil.

What do you call 20 sensory-overloaded minutes fashioned out of 60+ dancers, an original visual program created by Daft Punk's light designers, a new pop symphony from one-half of N.A.S.A., and over 155 rooms of New York's Standard hotel? You could start with "Spectacular," but even that seems limiting. For more on Standard Culture visit: www.standardculture.com To book a room visit: www.standardhotels.com

God is a God of righteousness
God sits on the throne
God is strong in battle
God is God alone
God wise and merciful
God is soverign Lord
God is pure and holy
God reigns forevermore
CHORUS:
He's a great God, a righteous King
Ruler over everything
He's a great God, we will proclaim
Honor and glory to his name
God holds up the universe
God sustains the soul
God exalts and God puts down
God is in control
God's glory is eternal
God is love and peace
God knows all, sees all, is all
God is to be praised
(chorus)
Blessing and glory and wisdom
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might
Be to our God forever and ever
And all the saints said
Holy...Holy
Holy...Holy
Holy...Holy
Is, His, Name
Great God, great God
(chorus)(4x)
