The Book of Mormon is a sacred text of the Latter Day Saint movement, which adherents believe contains writings of ancient prophets who lived on the American continent from approximately 2200 BC to AD 421. It was first published in March 1830 by Joseph Smith as The Book of Mormon: An Account Written by the Hand of Mormon upon Plates Taken from the Plates of Nephi.
According to Smith's account and the book's narrative, the Book of Mormon was originally written in otherwise unknown characters referred to as "reformed Egyptian" engraved on golden plates. Smith said that the last prophet to contribute to the book, a man named Moroni, buried it in a hill in present-day New York, then returned to earth in 1827 as an angel, revealing the location of the book to Smith, and instructing him to translate it into English for use in the restoration of Christ's true church in the latter days. Critics claim that it was fabricated by Smith, drawing on material and ideas from contemporary 19th-century works rather than translating an ancient record.

The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theatre, more commonly known informally as the Tony Award, recognizes achievement in live Broadway theatre. The awards are presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League at an annual ceremony in New York City. The awards are given for Broadway productions and performances, and an award is given for regional theatre. Several discretionary non-competitive awards are also given, including a Special Tony Award, the Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre, and the Isabelle Stevenson Award. The awards are named after Antoinette Perry, co-founder of the American Theatre Wing.
The rules for the Tony Awards are set forth in the official document "Rules and Regulations of The American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards", which applies for that season only. The Tony Awards are considered the highest U.S. theatre honor, the New York theatre industry's equivalent to the Academy Awards (Oscars) for motion pictures, the Grammy Awards for music and the Emmy Awards for television, and the Laurence Olivier Award for theatre in the United Kingdom and the Molière Award of France.
The 66th Annual Tony Awards was held on June 10, 2012, to recognize achievement in Broadway productions during the 2011–2012 season. The ceremony was held at the Beacon Theatre, and was broadcast live on CBS television, with Neil Patrick Harris as the host.
Shows that opened on Broadway during the 2011–12 season before April 27, 2012 are eligible.
Neil Patrick Harris was the host of the ceremony. This marked the third time that Harris hosted the Tony Awards show.
The telecast had 6.01 million viewers (preliminary numbers), in contrast to the 2011 Tony Awards telecast, which had 6.950 million viewers.
There were performances from musicals including Evita featuring Ricky Martin and Elena Roger, Follies, with Danny Burstein singing "Buddy's Blues" and introduced by Bernadette Peters, Ghost the Musical, Godspell, Hairspray (from a production on a Royal Caribbean ship), Jesus Christ Superstar, Leap of Faith with Raúl Esparza and company, Newsies featuring Jeremy Jordan and company, Nice Work If You Can Get It with Kelli O'Hara, Matthew Broderick and company, Once featuring Steve Kazee and company, and The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess featuring Audra McDonald and Norm Lewis. There also were performances from Tony-nominated plays, including End of the Rainbow with Tracie Bennett, One Man, Two Guvnors with James Corden, and Peter and the Starcatcher, with Christian Borle, Celia Keenan-Bolger and Adam Chanler-Berat.
A book is a set of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of ink, paper, parchment, or other materials, fastened together to hinge at one side. A single sheet within a book is a leaf, and each side of a leaf is a page. A set of text-filled or illustrated pages produced in electronic format is known as an electronic book, or e-book.
Books may also refer to works of literature, or a main division of such a work. In library and information science, a book is called a monograph, to distinguish it from serial periodicals such as magazines, journals or newspapers. The body of all written works including books is literature. In novels and sometimes other types of books (for example, biographies), a book may be divided into several large sections, also called books (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, and so on). An avid reader of books is a bibliophile or colloquially, bookworm.
A shop where books are bought and sold is a bookshop or bookstore. Books can also be borrowed from libraries. Google has estimated that as of 2010, approximately 130,000,000 unique titles had been published. In some wealthier nations, printed books are giving way to the usage of electronic or e-books, though sales of e-books declined in the first half of 2015.

Many critics of the Book of Mormon have tried but failed to give a credible alternative to Joseph Smith's testimony of it. How can we know if it is true? https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/tad-r-callister_book-mormon-man-made-god-given/ "Because the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion, as described by Joseph Smith, the Church rises or falls on the truth of it. As a result, if the Book of Mormon can be proved to be man-made, then the Church is man-made. On the other hand, if its origin is God-given, then Joseph Smith was a prophet, and if he was a prophet then the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. It is that simple. Once we have a foundational testimony of the Book of Mormon, then any question or challenge we confront in life, however difficult it may seem, can...
Unfortunately, I had to turn comments off for this video, as 90% of those who would dispute this matter just wanted to insult me or accuse me of hate. What I was hoping for was a meaningful conversation, where people would present evidence and interesting thoughts. This is not a channel for trolling. Sorry. Lance puts the Book of Mormon to three tests: the test of time, the test of archaeology, and the test of inspiration. Though faith is required for the unseen, evidence is still required for true faith. Where does the evidence lead? Can we have true faith in the Book of Mormon? How Rare a Possession: The Book of Mormon, 1987, 64 min. Originally broadcast via satellite 8 November 1987. This drama portrays the origin and coming forth of the Book of Mormon and factual accounts of how nineteenth-century Parley P. The traduction of the collection of the dead
This book served as a passage way
To the evil world beyond
Ride the path
Overcome the truth
Tell the words
Ex-Mortes
It was done long ago
As the seas were red of blood
This blood was used to write the book
Now lost in this frightening thought
I'm standing here in this cave
A collection of skin pages lies on the sand
Containing secrets
A vision from the past
Some erudites hands in hands
Circle is now done
Adjusted to parallel lights
Ride the path
Overcome the truth
Tell the words
Ex-Mortes
A strange and strong smell are informing my soul
Of something old or ghost's presence
Now lost in this frightening thought
I'm standing here in this cave
A collection of skin pages lies on the sand
