Pro Era

Pro Era, (which stands for Progressive Era), is an American hip hop collective from Brooklyn, New York City. The collective includes, among others, rappers Capital STEEZ (deceased), Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, Dessy Hinds, Aaron Rose, Dirty Sanchez, Rokamouth, J.A.B. along with producers Chuck Strangers, Powers Pleasant, Bruce Leekix, and HansSOLO.

Pro Era was formed around 2009 in Brooklyn, New York City and was founded by Capital STEEZ, Joey Badass, CJ Fly and Powers Pleasant. the group includes non-musical members such as D Apex, Junior B (deceased), Dee Frosted, Tony Whlgn and Kwon $wank, who act as promoters, photographers, directors and publicists, among other occupations.

Music career

2010–12: Signing to Cinematic Music

The Pro Era collective signed with the label Cinematic Music Group in 2010, shortly after Johnny Shipes became manager of the group's leader, Joey Badass. In February 2012, Pro Era released their debut mixtape entitled The Secc$ Tap.e. Starting October 27, 2012 until December 1 Joey Bada$$ went on the first tour for any member of Pro Era. The tour began New York and ended in Virginia but the tour also extended abroad to countries like Switzerland, France, England and the Netherlands.

Patrick Baril (born January 23, 1982), professionally known as Statik Selektah, is an American record producer from Boston, MA. Selektah is also a disc jockey (DJ) and radio personality. He is also the founder of Showoff Records In 2010, he formed the hip hop group 1982, alongside American rapper and fellow Bay Stater, Termanology.

Music video

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

Bada

Bada (stylized as bada; Korean: 바다) was an operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. It was developed by Samsung Electronics. Its name is derived from "바다 (bada)", meaning "ocean" or "sea" in Korean. It ranges from mid- to high-end smartphones.

To foster adoption of Bada OS, since 2011 Samsung reportedly has considered releasing the source code under an open-source license, and expanding device support to include Smart TVs. Samsung announced in June 2012 intentions to merge Bada into the Tizen project, but would meanwhile use its own Bada operating system, in parallel with Google Android OS and Microsoft Windows Phone, for its smartphones.

All Bada-powered devices are branded under the Wave name, but not all of Samsung's Android-powered devices are branded under the name Galaxy.

On 25 February 2013, Samsung announced that it will stop developing Bada, moving development to Tizen instead. Bug reporting was finally terminated in April 2014.

History

After the announcement, the Wave S8500 was first shown at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona in February 2010. At that time, applications running on the first Bada phone were demonstrated, including Gameloft's Asphalt 5.
