The Pampas (from Quechua pampa, meaning "plain") are fertile South American lowlands, covering more than 750,000 km2 (289,577 sq mi), that include the Argentine provinces of Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and Córdoba; most of Uruguay; and the southernmost Brazilian State, Rio Grande do Sul. These vast plains are a natural region only interrupted by the low Ventana and Tandil hills near Bahía Blanca and Tandil (Argentina), with a height of 1,300 m (4,265 ft) and 500 m (1,640 ft), respectively.
The climate is mild, with precipitation of 600 to 1,200 mm (23.6 to 47.2 in), more or less evenly distributed through the year, making the soils appropriate for agriculture. This area is also one of the distinct physiography provinces of the larger Paraná-Paraguay Plain division. These plains contain unique wildlife because of the different terrains around it. Some of this wildlife includes the rhea, the pampas deer, several species of armadillos, the pampas fox, the white-eared opossum, the elegant crested tinamou, and several other species.
Pampas grass or pampas-grass is a common name which may refer to any of several similar-looking, tall-growing species of grass:

All these animals were filmed in the Bolivian Pampas near Reyes and Rurrenabaque. The river systems flow through swampy farm land and feed into the Amazon basin. There is great biodiversity in this region and rare species such as the pink river dolphin and many types of monkey can be seen.

Grasslands galore! Just outside of Buenos Aires, Argentina, lies the center of one of the biggest, richest, and most productive grasslands on the planet: the Pampas! The Pampas (from Quechua: pampa, meaning "plain") are fertile South American lowlands, covering almost 300,00 square miles. These temperate plains (much like the prairies of Midwest USA) encouraged me to don my Pampas poncho and pontificate on this gaucho paradise!

Pampas grass, Cortaderia selloana, is a very beautiful formal ornamental grass with a naturalized appearance topped by elegant white plumes that contains fluffy seed that can float for miles. Planted in rows pampas grass forms a fast growing privacy barrier that sends up 8 ft. tall plumes and white fluff that glitter in sunlight like white clouds and brightens up the dark areas of your garden. Very few plants grow vigorously in wetlands or even in coastal areas but pampas grass is cold hardy and grows in any soil profile, poor soils or rich organic earth mixtures. Pampas grass is so salt water tolerant that it can flourish in sand dun...

Travel video about destination Argentina. Argentina is the second largest country in South America and a captivating land of tango, adventure and breathtaking nature.Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and the most European city in South America with buildings that are reminiscent of bygone times. The mighty Plaza De Mayo is the historic heart of the city, along with the presidential palace, the Casa Rosada and the Catedral Metropolitana. Today the tango is performed in each corner of the city and in the nineteenth century poor immigrants from Italy and Spain settled in Buenos Aires. This explains the fiery temperament and deep melancholy that is expressed by the dances and is evident with each flick of the leg. In what was once the red light district with its whore houses of colourfu...

So much more than I thought this world could ever hold
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold
We think we're heroes, we think we're kings
We plan all kinds of fabulous things
Oh, look how great we have become
Key in the door, the moment I've been longing for
Before my bag hit the floor
My adorable children rush up screaming for a kiss
And a story they're a gift to this world
My only claim to glory, I surely never knew sweeter days
Blows my mind like munitions, I'm amazed
So much heaven, so much hell, so much love, so much pain
So much more than I thought this world could ever contain
So much war, so much soul, one man's loss, another man's gold
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold
We're just children, we're just dust, we are small and we are lost
And we're nothing, nothing at all
One bomb, the whole block gone
Can't find me children and dust covers the sun
Everywhere is noise, panic and confusion
But to some another fun day in Babylon
I'm gonna bury my wife and dig up my gun
My life is done, so now I've got to kill someone
So much heaven, so much hell, so much love, so much pain
So much more than I thought this world could ever contain
So much war, so much soul, moments lost, moments go
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold
So much more than I thought this world could ever hold
So much heaven, so much hell, so much love, so much pain
So much more than I thought this world could ever contain
So much war, so much soul, moments lost, moments go
