The day of living like the Jetsons, mechanized maid and all, gets closer all the time. Here are 10 great robots, some of which are even available to the public.
Number 10. Honda's Asimo. The humanoid robot stands a bit over 4-feet and weighs in at 119 pounds, but its developers have packed a whole lot of functionality into its modest frame. Asimo can do sign language, play soccer, and even serve drinks.
Number 9. Kuratas. If you've ever dreamed of being the pilot of a great big robot, this is your chance. Located within its 13-foot tall frame is enough room for an onboard commander. Oh by the way, it can be controlled with an iPhone.
Number 8. Atlas. Commissioned by the Pentagon, and engineered by Boston Dynamics, this disaster rescue dynamo is built to perform the heroic task of saving lives without risking its own.
Number 7. Termite Robots. These little guys are designed to do tough, tedious building work and their way of working was inspired by termites. The bots assess their environment, take cues from one another, and get to work even though they haven't a clue of the bigger plan.
Number 6. Cheetah Cub. Wanting to know how to make robots take control of tough terrain with the grace of a feline, scientists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology made a robotic cat. Using it, they can assess joint force and agility without having to harm an actual animal.
Number 5. WildCat. Not to be confused with the aforementioned Cheetah Cub, the WildCat is the newest generation of Boston Dynamics Cheetah robot line. These machines are made for speed, traveling up to 29 miles per hour. While previous versions were indoor sorts, this one is suited to run free.
Number 4. VGo Virtual Student. Stuck at home with a severe immune disorder, a student in Texas is now able to attend classes thanks to a robot. She can power the virtual version of herself via internet and participate in what's going on thanks to a webcam.
"Miranda suffers from a weak immune system that doesn't allow her to attend class in person but thanks to this robot pilot program she's back in the classroom."
Number 3. Robo-Fly. It's tiny and fast, weighing only 80 milligrams and flapping it's wings up to 120 times per second. Once technology advances and can make it a battery small enough, the robotic insect is predicted to be a helpful tool in search and rescue missions.
Number 2. The Mab. It flies around your house, senses where it's dirty, and then deploys a bunch of tiny little cleaning bots to make the area sparkle. It's just a concept, but was enough of one to win the Electrolux Design Lab competition.
Number 1. Curiosity. NASA's Mars rover has accomplished far more than any other robot can imagine so to speak. It's only been on the Red Planet for about a year and a half, but has already determined that there could have once been life there.

Top most amazing and coolest ROBOTS
The family of robot animals from the German developer of robotics Festo is growing. The company presents many new robots, for example: a swarm of ants that can interact with each other, as well as butterflies and dragonflies, which are characterized by all the ease and grace of these insects. When they were created, the company focused not only on their appearance, but also on behavioral characteristics. The ants coordinate with each other all their actions and movements. Each ant, that is 13-centimeter long, has on its belly a radio module, through which precise coordination is carried out.
As for butterflies-robots. The weight of each butterfly is only 32 grams, this includes two servos, a pair of small batteries, and a laser-made casing. After one charging that lasts fifteen minutes, butterflies will be able to flutter for about 4 minutes. And their flight looks very impressive. There’re not just butterflies, but a whole system that consists of ten high-speed infrared cameras installed in a room where butterflies fly. They track the infrared markers installed on the robots, transmitting data in real time to the central computer; so that’s how coordination of butterflies is going in the space. You can hardly distinguish these bionic butterflies from the real ones in the room where they fly.
Robotic seagulls and dragonflies that can fly just like their living relatives. The seagull was developed in 2012. Later, a dragonfly, that can hang in the air no worse than its natural counterpart was invented. All the details of the dragonfly were made on a 3D printer, and you can control this miracle with a smartphone. Through these developments, the company could edge out the development market of flying drones, but it doesn’t need it. The technology of flying and hovering in the air is worked on these two prototypes.
The kangaroo robot. At the core of the BionicKangaroo is the mechanism of "recuperation" - it uses the energy recovered from one jump to help it make another. Real kangaroos quickly got tired and could not jump for a long time without this mechanism.
Springs that store mechanical energy on the landing and give it away on the next jump are used in this project. BionicKangaroo that weighs 7 kilograms and highs one meter can make a jump of 80 cm in length and 40 cm in height. The power supply system, that forces it to move, is a pneumatic accumulator. The robot is controlled by a special bandage that reads myoelectric signals from the human forearm.
Robot shark. This unmanned underwater facility - a robotic shark length of about one and a half meters and weigh up to 45 kg. Like a real fish, the robot uses the tail to move and control its movement. The robot moves in a fish way, so it is very difficult to distinguish it or at least isolate it on the background of a real marine fauna. It can swim above and dive to depth. Such shark can rich an enemy ship unnoticed. She can spy, repair ships, and arrange sabotage.
The robot-spider. From the beginning it is worth mentioning that the spider model was printed using the 3D printer. The engine is integrated with the servo motors of the paws, three in each: the resulting system provides simple control of flexible, plastic movements with convenient coordination from the control panel. He was shown in one of the series of MythBusters.
Underwater robot-snake. The mechanical snake is designed to perform maintenance and repair of various mechanisms on the seabed, mainly on oil platforms. It is capable of replacing costly autonomous underwater vehicles, easily slipping into places where cumbersome robots can not reach.

A robot is a mechanical or virtual artificial agent, usually an electro-mechanical machine that is guided by a computer program or electronic circuitry. Robots can be autonomous or semi-autonomous and range from humanoids such as Honda's Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility (ASIMO) and TOSY's TOSY Ping Pong Playing Robot (TOPIO) to industrial robots, medical operating robots, patent assist robots, dog therapy robots, collectively programmed swarm robots, UAV drones such as General Atomics MQ-1 Predator, and even microscopic nano robots. By mimicking a lifelike appearance or automating movements, a robot may convey a sense of intelligence or thought of its own.
The branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing is robotics. These technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans in dangerous environments or manufacturing processes, or resemble humans in appearance, behavior, and/or cognition. Many of today's robots are inspired by nature contributing to the field of bio-inspired robotics. These robots have also created a newer branch of robotics: soft robotics.

Justice League
The Justice League, also known as the Justice League of America, is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The Justice League was conceived by writer Gardner Fox, and first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #28 (Feb.-March 1960).
The team is an assemblage of superheroes who join together as the Justice League. The seven original members were Aquaman, Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter, Superman, and Wonder Woman and the team roster has rotated throughout the years, consisting of many superheroes from the DC Universe.
The Justice League received its own comic book title called Justice League of America in October 1960. With the 2011 relaunch of its titles, DC Comics released a second volume of Justice League and in 2015 released a fourth volume of Justice League of America, both of which are currently in print. Since its inception, the team has been featured in various television programs and video games.

The humanoid robot stands a bit over 4-feet and weighs in at 119 pounds, but its developers have packed a whole lot of functionality into its modest frame. Asimo can do sign language, play soccer, and even serve drinks. Number 9. Kuratas. If you've ever dreamed of being the pilot of a great big robot, this is your chance. Located within its 13-foot tall frame is enough room for an onboard commander. Oh by the way, it can be controlled with an iPhone. Number 8. Atlas. Commissioned by the Pentagon, and engineered by Boston Dynamics, this disaster rescue dynamo is built to perform the heroic task of saving lives without risking its own. Number 7. Termite Robots. These little guys are designed to do tough, tedious building work and their way of working was inspired by termites. The bots assess their environment, take cues from one another, and get to work even though they haven't a clue of the bigger plan. Number 6. Cheetah Cub. It's tiny and fast, weighing only 80 milligrams and flapping it's wings up to 120 times per second. Top most amazing and coolest ROBOTS The family of robot animals from the German developer of robotics Festo is growing. The company presents many new robots, for example: a swarm of ants that can interact with each other, as well as butterflies and dragonflies, which are characterized by all the ease and grace of these insects. When they were created, the company focused not only on their appearance, but also on behavioral characteristics. The ants coordinate with each other all their actions and movements. Each ant, that is 13-centimeter long, has on its belly a radio module, through which precise coordination is carried out. As for butterflies-robots. The weight of each butterfly is only 32 grams, this includes two servos, a pair of small batteries, and a laser-made casing. After one charging that lasts fifteen minutes, butterflies will be able to flutter for about 4 minutes. And their flight looks very impressive. There’re not just butterflies, but a whole system that consists of ten high-speed infrared cameras installed in a room where butterflies fly. They track the infrared markers installed on the robots, transmitting data in real time to the central computer; so that’s how coordination of butterflies is going in the space. You can hardly distinguish these bionic butterflies from the real ones in the room where they fly. Robotic seagulls and dragonflies that can fly just like their living relatives. The seagull was developed in 2012. Later, a dragonfly, that can hang in the air no worse than its natural counterpart was invented. All the details of the dragonfly were made on a 3D printer, and you can control this miracle with a smartphone. Through these developments, the company could edge out the development market of flying drones, but it doesn’t need it. The technology of flying and hovering in the air is worked on these two prototypes. The kangaroo robot. At the core of the BionicKangaroo is the mechanism of "recuperation" - it uses the energy recovered from one jump to help it make another. Real kangaroos quickly got tired and could not jump for a long time without this mechanism. Springs that store mechanical energy on the landing and give it away on the next jump are used in this project. BionicKangaroo that weighs 7 kilograms and highs one meter can make a jump of 80 cm in length and 40 cm in height. The power supply system, that forces it to move, is a pneumatic accumulator. The robot is controlled by a special bandage that reads myoelectric signals from the human forearm. Robot shark. This unmanned underwater facility - a robotic shark length of about one and a half meters and weigh up to 45 kg. Like a real fish, the robot uses the tail to move and control its movement. The robot moves in a fish way, so it is very difficult to distinguish it or at least isolate it on the background of a real marine fauna. It can swim above and dive to depth. Such shark can rich an enemy ship unnoticed. She can spy, repair ships, and arrange sabotage. The robot-spider. From the beginning it is worth mentioning that the spider model was printed using the 3D printer. The engine is integrated with the servo motors of the paws, three in each: the resulting system provides simple control of flexible, plastic movements with convenient coordination from the control panel. Number 4. VGo Virtual Student. Stuck at home with a severe immune disorder, a student in Texas is now able to attend classes thanks to a robot. She can power the virtual version of herself via internet and participate in what's going on thanks to a webcam.

Top most amazing and coolest ROBOTS
The family of robot animals from the German developer of robotics Festo is growing. The company presents many new robots, for example: a swarm of ants that can interact with each other, as well as butterflies and dragonflies, which are characterized by all the ease and grace of these insects. When they were created, the company focused not only on their appearance, but also on behavioral characteristics. The ants coordinate with each other all their actions and movements. Each ant, that is 13-centimeter long, has on its belly a radio module, through which precise coordination is carried out.
As for butterflies-robots. The weight of each butterfly is only 32 grams, this includes two servos, a pair of small batteries, and a laser-made casing. After one charging that lasts fifteen minutes, butterflies will be able to flutter for about 4 minutes. And their flight looks very impressive. There’re not just butterflies, but a whole system that consists of ten high-speed infrared cameras installed in a room where butterflies fly. They track the infrared markers installed on the robots, transmitting data in real time to the central computer; so that’s how coordination of butterflies is going in the space. You can hardly distinguish these bionic butterflies from the real ones in the room where they fly.
Robotic seagulls and dragonflies that can fly just like their living relatives. The seagull was developed in 2012. Later, a dragonfly, that can hang in the air no worse than its natural counterpart was invented. All the details of the dragonfly were made on a 3D printer, and you can control this miracle with a smartphone. Through these developments, the company could edge out the development market of flying drones, but it doesn’t need it. The technology of flying and hovering in the air is worked on these two prototypes.
The kangaroo robot. At the core of the BionicKangaroo is the mechanism of "recuperation" - it uses the energy recovered from one jump to help it make another. Real kangaroos quickly got tired and could not jump for a long time without this mechanism.
Springs that store mechanical energy on the landing and give it away on the next jump are used in this project. BionicKangaroo that weighs 7 kilograms and highs one meter can make a jump of 80 cm in length and 40 cm in height. The power supply system, that forces it to move, is a pneumatic accumulator. The robot is controlled by a special bandage that reads myoelectric signals from the human forearm.
Robot shark. This unmanned underwater facility - a robotic shark length of about one and a half meters and weigh up to 45 kg. Like a real fish, the robot uses the tail to move and control its movement. The robot moves in a fish way, so it is very difficult to distinguish it or at least isolate it on the background of a real marine fauna. It can swim above and dive to depth. Such shark can rich an enemy ship unnoticed. She can spy, repair ships, and arrange sabotage.
The robot-spider. From the beginning it is worth mentioning that the spider model was printed using the 3D printer. The engine is integrated with the servo motors of the paws, three in each: the resulting system provides simple control of flexible, plastic movements with convenient coordination from the control panel. He was shown in one of the series of MythBusters.
Underwater robot-snake. The mechanical snake is designed to perform maintenance and repair of various mechanisms on the seabed, mainly on oil platforms. It is capable of replacing costly autonomous underwater vehicles, easily slipping into places where cumbersome robots can not reach.

Brixton has degenerated into a disregarded area inhabited by London's new robot workforce - robots built and designed to carry out all of the tasks which humans are no longer inclined to do. The mechanical population of Brixton has rocketed, resulting in unplanned, cheap and quick additions to the skyline.
The film follows the trials and tribulations of young robots surviving at the sharp end of inner city life, living the predictable existence of a populous hemmed in by poverty, disillusionment and mass unemployment. When the Police invade the one space which the robots can call their own, the fierce and strained relationship between the two sides explodes into an outbreak of violence echoing that of 1981.

It’s not a secret we love robots here at BLR, so we wanted them to be the heroes in our latest promo clip. Luxury cars with powerful engines to drive through roads under severe speed restrictions, cable TV that allows us to pay to watch all kind of sports, all from our comfortable sofa, and of course, hyper expensive cell phones that do almost everything but making a decent phone call.
Yes, our happiness is based on things we don’t need and governed by entities we don’t control, so what? Sit down and turn on the tv!
The robots were taken from real Japanese robot model kits, and they now hold a privileged position in our freak museum. The bad guy spits real smoke out of its mouth! The environment is made of cardboard houses that were integrated with the help of camera tweaks. It all serves to the purpose of creating a dumb homogeneous atmosphere in which we’re defined by what we’ve got, that is, the same lame things.
Don’t take the message too seriously. This is a promo video we’ve done to laugh at ourselves. We all have an i-diot inside, and it’s so fun!
