Impossible (2015 film)

Impossible (Chinese: 不可思异) is a 2015 Chinese science fiction comedy film directed by Sun Zhou. It was released on December 4, 2015 in 2D and 3D.

Music

The original score was composed by Deddy Tzur and Daniel Alcheh, and features soloists recorded in Los Angeles and orchestras recorded in Europe. The score was mixed by Elliot Hunt in 5.1 surround at alcheh&hunt studios in Boulder, CO and mastered by Dominic Maita in Boulder, CO. Additional mixing was done by Michael Seifert for Comba-Music for Yuli Studio in Beijing.

Theme Song: We Go On

The theme song "We Go On", written by composer Daniel Alcheh, produced by Elliot Hunt and mastered by Dominic Maita, is an orchestral power-ballad featured in the big climax of the film, with instrumental versions throughout the film. The track is sung by American pop singer Grey, who became known after her appearance on NBC's The Voice, where she landed a spot on Adam Levine's team.

A flip trick is a type of skateboarding trick in which the skateboard rotates around its horizontal or vertical axis, or both simultaneously. The very first flip trick called kickflip, originally called the "magic flip," was invented by professional skateboarder Rodney Mullen.

"Remix (I Like The)" is a song by American pop group New Kids on the Block from their sixth studio album, 10. The song was released as the album's lead single on January 28, 2013. "Remix (I Like The)" was written by Lars Halvor Jensen, Johannes Jørgensen, and Lemar, and it was produced by Deekay. The song features Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre on lead vocals.

"Remix (I Like The)" did not enter the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, becoming their first lead single to fail charting since "Be My Girl" (1986). Instead, the song peaked at number 38 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

Critical reception

PopCrush gave the song 3.5 stars out of five. In her review Jessica Sager wrote, "The song sounds like an adult contemporary answer to The Wanted mixed with Bruno Mars‘ ‘Locked Out of Heaven.’ It has a danceable beat like many of the British bad boys’ tracks, but is stripped down and raw enough to pass for Mars’ latest radio smash as well." Carl Williott of Idolator commended the song's chorus, but criticized its "liberal use of Auto-Tune" and compared Donnie Wahlberg's vocals to Chad Kroeger.

Remix (TV series)

Remix was an Indian television series produced by Rose Audio Visuals, which used to air on STAR One. It was a hit among teenagers and had reruns on the same channel. The series is a remake of the popular Argentine soap Rebelde Way.

Concept

The story is based on the lives of 12th-grade students in an elite school called "Maurya High" for the kids of the rich and the famous, and scholarship students from poorer families.

The four main characters are Tia Ahuja (a fashion entrepreneur's only daughter: Sumit Ahuja), Anvesha Ray Banerjee (a Bollywood filmstar's only daughter: Sonia Ray), Yuvraaj Dev (brat son of India's politician: Yashwant Dev), and Ranveer Sisodia (a Rajasthani royal who comes to Maurya to avenge the death of his father which wasn't really Sumit Ahuja's fault). They form the music group "Remix" and become the singing sensation of the decade.

The story also brings into play other elements that shape the destiny of the four protagonists and many others.

Monody (album)

Monody is the fourth album by Indie/R&B/Synthpop artist Mantler (Chris A. Cummings), released in 2010.

Described as "teeming with slow jams, a love for the '70s and an honesty that saves it from becoming retro-obsessed kitsch", Mantler features many guest stars, including Sandro Perri, Owen Pallett, Ben Gunning, Jeremy Greenspan and the string section of Ohbijou.

Reception

The album was met with positive critical reception in Germany, the U.K. and Toronto . Allmusic awarded the album 4 out of 5 stars. The music was showcased live at the Tranzac Club in Toronto, and Queen Elizabeth Hall in South Bank, London, and videos were produced to accompany the release. A song from the same project, "I Guarantee You A Good Time" (featuring Steamboat and Sandro Perri) was released as a single shortly after the LP.
