Turning is a synonym for rotating.
Turning, a turning, or the turning may refer to:
The Turning is a 1992 American drama film directed by L.A. Puopolo, based on a play by Chris Ceraso.
It is the first onscreen appearance of actress Gillian Anderson. She and Raymond J. Barry would both go on to appear in The X-Files, though they would not share any scenes together.
Filmed entirely on location in Pocahontas, Virginia, the film is adapted from the stage play Home Fires Burning.
After four years, Cliff Harnish returns to his hometown of Pocahontas, Virginia with hopes of putting a stop to his parents' divorce.
The film was bought by British film distributor David Lewis in 1996 and his firm Unique Films released it on video nationwide. The film contains steamy sex scenes and was filmed when Anderson was still a 19 year old student in drama school. Anderson hired lawyers to help stop the release. The British tabloid press which described it as a "B movie", reported that she attempted to buy it back for "large sums of money" without success. They reported the scenes as "semi-topless". Anderson's partner in the scenes, actor Michael Dolan, reported that the scene was shot at 4 am after a long day and that they were both exhausted. In spite of her embarrassment about the film, Anderson had a clause in her contract stating that her breasts could not be exposed. In spite of all the hoopla, the Orange County Register described the scene as "fleeting" and that the film "deserves better than to serve as a salacious footnote to a television show".
Dig Out Your Soul is the seventh and final studio album by the English rock band Oasis, released on 6 October 2008 by Big Brother Records. It was recorded between August and December 2007 at Abbey Road Studios, and January and March 2008 at The Village Recorder. The first single, "The Shock of the Lightning", was released shortly before the release of the album, on 29 September 2008. In promotion of the album, the band embarked on a world tour, debuting in Seattle, Washington at the WaMu Theater, and continuing for eighteen months. In 2009, the tour concluded (due to Noel Gallagher quitting the band) with major dates at some of the UK's biggest stadiums, notably the new Wembley Stadium, Sunderland's Stadium of Light and Edinburgh's Murrayfield as well as Ireland's Slane Castle. They also performed three hometown shows at Manchester's Heaton Park.
A January 2007 interview for NME, Noel Gallagher gave new details on his vision for the album: "All the tunes I've written recently have been on the kind of acoustic side, you know? But for the next record I really fancy doing a record where we just completely throw the kitchen sink at it," he explained. "We haven't done that since Be Here Now. I'd like to get, like, a 100-piece orchestra and choirs and all that stuff. I think since Standing on the Shoulder of Giants we've been trying to prove a point of just bass, drums, guitar and vocals and nothing fancy. But I kind of like fancy! I'd like to make an absolutely fucking colossal album. You know? Like literally two orchestras, stuff like that."

I used the the multitracks of the album and noticed they had their dynamics intact. I find it hard to listen to the album version of this song now, now I've heard the volume swell up and down with dynamics. Picture is comparison of the the soundwaves. Top is the multitracks mixed down to stereo and bottom is released version with brickwalling. Note: I make no money off of this, this is here for educational purposes.
Standing on the Edge of the Noise is a unique, intimate look at Oasis performing in their own space, instead of the huge stadium stages on which they are more often seen. The programme includes a mix of classics and new tracks from Dig Out Your Soul. It's a one-off live show that they played for a handful of fans in their rehearsal studio, as preparations for their 2008/2009 "Dig Out Your Soul Tour". It is also the name of a track on Oasis's successor band Beady Eye's debut album. An edit for TV was shown on 4Music on 23 November 2008,[1] and on Channel 4 on 29 November 2008.[2] Set List 1. Rock'n'Roll Star 2. The Shock of the Lightning 3. To Be Where There's Life 4. Waiting For The Rapture 5. The Masterplan 6. Songbird 7. Slide away 8. Ain't Got Nothin' 9. The Importance Of Bein...

The Turning Oasis Dig Out Your Soul New Oasis song.
Turning is a synonym for rotating.
Turning, a turning, or the turning may refer to:
While the Sea of SandÂ's getting larger - in evÂ'ry Step you take
YouÂ'll find yourself attracted by the Glimpse of Fury deep inside
In evÂ'ry Moment, to evÂ'ry Direction - the perfect Angle sends his Light
for the mercyless Judgement to be ratified
Chorus 1
Dreams and Visions of Trees in the Wideness pass my Mind
like a Storm of Desire in the fires gratified
Feel the Breeze on your Skin - to release from Sin
See before your Eyes the Oasis arise
The febrile Impressions are sent from the Past - showing Cities of Sand filled by ancient Hordes in the Names of TheirÂ's
Time goes by and the Sea takes itÂ's Children - back home to the Pale
no Signs left for the Future - impenetrable Trail
Chorus 1
With the Dawn getting closer the Lights fall - the SilenceÂ's last Shout
goes out into the Wide where the Night comes - one last prance of Fright Future plans with no Chance of Fulfilment - discarding a Life
while this Sea shows no Mercy the Hordes arrive
Chorus 2
Ancient Riders of Sand in the Wideness pass my Eye
Closing in on the Trail of all wishes and Desires
See them ride like the Wind - to fulfill your Please
