Grog is any of a variety of alcoholic beverages. The word originally referred to a drink made with water or "small beer" (a weak beer), lemon or lime juice, and rum, which British Vice Admiral Edward Vernon introduced into the Royal Navy on 21 August 1740. Vernon wore a coat of grogram cloth and was nicknamed Old Grogram or Old Grog. However, Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, which agrees with this story of the word's origin, states that the word "grog" was first used in this sense in 1770, though other sources cite 1749. The citrus juice was added to prevent spoilage, then it was also found to prevent scurvy, two reasons to continue the practice.
In modern times the term "grog" has had a variety of meanings in a number of different cultures.
Modern versions of the drink are often made with hot or boiling water, and sometimes include lemon juice, lime juice, cinnamon, or sugar to improve the taste. Additionally in the USA, Apple cider is sometimes substituted for water. Rum with water, sugar, and nutmeg was known as bumbo and was more popular with pirates and merchantmen. By contrast, in Australia and New Zealand, the word has come to mean any alcoholic drink.
Critical Role is an American web series produced by Geek and Sundry in which a group of professional voice actors play Dungeons & Dragons. The series is broadcast live on Thursdays on the Geek and Sundry Twitch.tv, with episodes made available the following Monday on Geek and Sundry's official website. Matthew Mercer serves as the show's Dungeon Master, running the ongoing campaign that is the basis for the show. The campaign began two years prior to the series as a one-time Pathfinder game at a birthday party for Liam O'Brien, after Liam and Sam Riegel discussed the idea on their podcast AllWorkNoPlay. The group enjoyed this initial game so much that they continued to play privately until they were approached by Felicia Day's Geek and Sundry network. In order to streamline gameplay for the live show, the game's characters were converted from Pathfinder to Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition before the web series began airing on 13 March 2015. Each stream also serves as a donation drive to support nonprofit organizations such as St Jude's, 826LA, Extra Life, and Doctors Without Borders.
Geek & Sundry is a commercial YouTube Channel and multimedia production company. It was launched on April 2, 2012 by actress Felicia Day with Kim Evey and Sheri Bryant as part of YouTube's 100 million dollar original channel initiative. In June 2012, Forbes Magazine suggested that "if successful, it could help blaze a trail for the future of network television."
The channel was originally based around three unscripted programs produced by Day: The Flog (hosted by Day), Sword & Laser (hosted by Veronica Belmont and Tom Merritt) and Tabletop (hosted by actor Wil Wheaton).
Revenue for the company is undisclosed. Before the channel launch, they were given an advance payment by YouTube "against future advertising revenue to jumpstart production."
The channel's founders and hosts of some of its programs have attended a number of fan conventions since its startup in April 2012 including: ComicCon,Dragon*Con,VidCon, and WonderCon. They also attended Comic-Con in 2013.
In March 2013, the channel announced three new series: "Felicia's Ark" (featuring Felicia Day), "Fetch Quest" (created by Jordan Allen-Dutton) and "The Player One[s]". Two programs, "Tabletop" and "Space Janitors", were renewed for season 2 of the channel starting April 1, 2013.

Plot: To add flavor to her rock soup, the Fat Broad commands Wiley, Peter, Thor, etc. to catch a turkey. The problem is that no one knows what a turkey is except for the turkey himself. In spite of this, the chase is on. Mostly a series of running gags, this animated special did a superb job of capturing the humor of Johnny Hart's B.C. comic strip.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Album comes out on June 2, 2012. (all this time travel has got me a little disoriented.) I did a little research, and found out how to make Grog. Here is the recipe. You'll need: 1 shot of rum 1 - 2 heaping tablespoons concentrated lime juice 1 1/2 cups water 1 dirty glass optional: sparkling water more shots of rum THIS JUST IN: our GENIOUS guitar player josh just pointed out that by carbonating Grog, we are essentially making Aether Grog!
In this week's episode of Chiodini's Kitchen, Johnny makes grog from The Secret of Monkey Island (and nearly poisons most of the video team). CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS FROM EPISODE - 94 of CRITICAL ROLE I love Pike, I love Grog. When they get together it's guaranteed fun. I just love their foster- siblings friendship/love so much. It is so real. They make you forget about your problems. They lift you up just when you most need it. This is a silly cut version of such moment in Critical Role Episode 94. I dubbed it Late Night with Pike and Grog because of the setting it happens in and the moments that lead to it. Grog Metal head, is a nice marker simular to the steel blitz by smash . I really like using this marker and would recondment it since its a pree cheep and durable marker with nice grog paint inside . you can control the flow so it drips how you want it too . if i could choose between the metal head steel tip or krink k66 steel tip i would prefer the k66 just cause i like using it abit more . when this marker starts to get emptty you do have to turn it upside down so the ink can flow to the tip . but its always refillable . Over i i would deff recondmend you trying this out. Thanks ! * surfaces are all legal *
