Ultravox (formerly known as Ultravox!) are a British new wave band, formed in London in 1974 as Tiger Lily. Between 1980–86, they scored seven Top Ten albums and seventeen Top 40 singles in the UK, the most successful of which was their 1981 hit "Vienna".
The band has been led by two different frontmen who never played together in the band at the same time. From 1974 until 1979, singer John Foxx was frontman and the main driving force behind Ultravox. Foxx left the band to embark on a solo career and, following his departure, with the three remaining members in hiatus, Midge Ure took over as lead singer, guitarist and frontman in 1980 after he and keyboardist Billy Currie worked in the studio project Visage. Ure revitalised the band and steered it to commercial success lasting until the mid-1980s. Ure left the band in 1987 after establishing his own solo career and the group disbanded for a while. A new line-up, led by Currie, was formed in 1992, but achieved limited success.
The band's best-known line-up of Currie, Ure, bassist Chris Cross and drummer Warren Cann reformed in 2008 and performed a series of reunion shows in 2009 and 2010 before releasing a new studio album, Brill!ant, in May 2012. In November 2013, Ultravox performed as special guests on a four date UK arena tour with Simple Minds.

If at first u upload a video and the channel gets deleted, try, try, try and try again! This time its staying! 1984's 'Lament' album produced some eerily striking videos. The cold war pervaded throughout this epic, and was banned for fear of inciting violence and nuclear war....

Ultravox -- Hymn :: Lyrics ::Give us this day all that you showed me. The power and the glory 'til thy kingdom come. Give us this day all that you showed me, The power and the glory 'til thy kingdom come. Give me all the story book told me, The faith and the glory 'til thy kingdom comes. And they said that in our time, All that's good will fall from grace. Even saints would turn their face, In our time. And they told us that in our days, Different words said in different ways, Have other meaning from he who says, In our time. And they said that in our time, We would reap from their legacy, We would learn from what they had seen, In our time. And they told us that in our days, We would know what was high on high, We would follow and not defy, In our...

Quartet is the third Ultravox album with Midge Ure as front man.The album spawned four hit singles and was promoted by Ultravox's "Monument Tour", a concert from which was recorded and released as an album and video a year later in 1983. It has been remastered and re-released twice with the addition of several tracks, mainly b-sides and live tracks. I have included none of these but rather the addition of two extended versions which I felt kept the mood of the album better. Side A "Reap the Wild Wind" -- 3:49 "Serenade" -- 5:05 "Mine for Life" -- 4:44 "Hymn" -- 5:46 Side B "Visions in Blue" -- 4:38 "When the Scream Subsides" -- 4:17 "We Came to Dance" -- 4:14 "Cut and Run" -- 4:18 "The Song" (We Go) -- 3:56 Extra Tracks: ''Serenade'' (Special Remix) -- 6:03 ''We Came To Dance'' (Extend...

Dangerous rhythm
Dangerous rhythm
Dangerous rhythm in the air
Stranger to stranger
We're both dressed for danger
Something is generating here
Oh, take off your halo
For the all-night inferno
Something is happening in the air
It's not like anything I've ever known before
And I don't care
(Chorus)
Surging and merging
Urgent and urging
Soft as a footstep on the stair
The red light is on now
My gravity's gone and how
I can feel something in the air
It's not like anything I've ever known before
And I don't care
