Michael Bishop is a Richmond musician best known for his work with GWAR. In the late 1980s, Bishop started as the bassist for the shock rock band while in high school, creating the character Beefkake the Mighty. Bishop left the band to concentrate on Kepone, a post-punk group who released three records between 1992 and 2000. In 2012, he earned a Ph.D. in music from the University of Virginia, specializing in popular music ethnography and performance studies. Following the death of GWAR singer Dave Brockie in 2014, Michael became the band’s vocalist, the Berserker Blöthar. Today, he stays busy as a writer and learning strategist, a member of Kepone and a country and soul group called the Misery Brothers, and the bassist for Sarah White. He also works with composer J. William Adkins on music, stage, and animation projects.

So 3x08 is officially my favourite episode...EVER! All the awards for Shane West please - gah! The episode was just so amazing and so heartbreaking and - I'VE FALLEN IN MY FEELS AND I CAN'T GET UP! So I just had to make a video focusing on the episode and I think that this song pretty much sums up how I think Michael is feeling at the moment. I hope that you enjoy the video (I tried doing something new with the audio at the start so I hope that you like it!)

First off, how awesome is it that we can now add custom thumbnails? Will so be doing that in future!
So I had wanted to make a Hannibal video and I did start to, but then I just got the sudden urge to make another badass video of my baby - and wala! Here is the video. I hope that you enjoy it and bask in the loveliness that is Shane West kicking some ass.
I hope that for the final six episode's we really get Michael kicking some serious ass - and that it won't be long before we see Shane back on our screens again. It will be bittersweet for sure. I have some Mikita videos planned too - so don't worry Mikita subbers, I will be vidding the kickass duo soon!

Michael Bishop (author)
Michael Lawson Bishop (born November 12, 1945) is an American writer. Over four decades and in more than thirty books, he has created what has been called a "body of work that stands among the most admired and influential in modern science fiction and fantasy literature."
Biography
Bishop was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Leotis ("Lee") Bishop (born 1920 in Frys Mill, Poinsett County, Arkansas) and Maxine ("Mac") Elaine Matison (born 1920 in Ashland, Nebraska). His parents met in the summer of 1942 when his father, a recent enlistee of the Air Force, was stationed in Lincoln. Bishop's childhood was the peripatetic life of a military brat. He went to kindergarten in Tokyo, Japan, and he spent his senior year of high school in Seville, Spain. His parents divorced in 1951, and Bishop spent summers wherever his father happened to be based.
Bishop entered the University of Georgia in 1963, receiving his bachelor's degree in 1967, before going on to complete a master's degree in English. In 1969, he married Jeri Ellis Whitaker of Columbus, Georgia. He taught English (including a course in science fiction) at the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs from 1968 to 1972. After his service career, he taught composition and English literature at the University of Georgia in Athens. A son, Jamie, was born in 1971, and a daughter, Stephanie was born in 1973. Bishop left teaching in 1974 to become a full-time writer. In those early years of freelance writing, he would occasionally work as a substitute teacher in the public schools and as a stringer for the Ledger-Enquirer in Columbus.

So I had wanted to make a Hannibal video and I did start to, but then I just got the sudden urge to make another badass video of my baby - and wala! Here is the video. I hope that you enjoy it and bask in the loveliness that is Shane West kicking some ass.
I hope that for the final six episode's we really get Michael kicking some serious ass - and that it won't be long before we see Shane back on our screens again. It will be bittersweet for sure. I have some Mikita videos planned too - so don't worry Mikita subbers, I will be vidding the kickass duo soon!

During the battle of Castillon, the bowman Michel Pérunin etched his name in History : he did not recognize the English general who had just been thrown from his horse and he cracked his head with an axe. On the other hand, we do not know the name of the man who slain the son of Talbot.
A significant proof of the violence of the battles of this time, the bodies of Talbot and his son were awfully maimed (and their armours and clothes were stolen). Therefore, their corpses were recognized by close friends only thanks to their sets of teeth.
For long, the English denied the idea of a popular resistance during their occupation of Normandy. And yet, Roger Jouet has proved its true existence (and extremely threatening for English soldiers) in his book “La résistance à l’occupation anglaise en Basse-Normandie (1418-1450)” [The resistance to English occupation in Lower Normandy 1418-1450].
Georges Minois claims that Charles VII was certainly the most cultured monarch of his time. Foreseeing the end of feudal system and the rise of “national” monarchies, he knew how to take full advantage of this nascent patriotic feeling among his subjects (like for example with Joan of Arc, Jacques Cœur or the Bureau brothers) to annihilate the English enemy.
The beautiful lady Agnès Sorel is said to have “teased” many times Charles VII to entice him to launch the invasion of Normandy : “I would prefer the king of England rather than you if you do nothing”.
A little known fact : once he was crowned and his progeny was safe, Charles VII led himself many sieges and battles, at his own peril. Moreover, he was an excellent horseman.
With the trunnions and wheeled carriages which are presented in the video, the Bureau Brothers brought other decisive innovations to primitive artillery :
- Tubes were made longer to improve accuracy and range.
- Abandoning cast-iron, they were then built in bronze, a metal which deforms without bursting.
- Cannonballs –so far in stone- were rung with iron to multiply their destructive power.
The Bureau guaranteed their customers that their culverins would be able to shoot or “to make the 400 shots”. In French, the popular expression “faire les 400 coups” has become famous and means “to get into a lot of trouble”.
A letter from Bishop Thomas Basin describes Jean Bureau as “a man of humble origins, of little stature, but gifted with a great determination and courage”.
According to historians, Bureau was a perfectionist, with a methodical and mathematical spirit. He was also a brilliant administrator, gifted with a rich technical imagination which allowed him to take best advantage of the primitive weapons of his time.
Napoleon III wrote : “… Let’s say it then, for the honour of this arm, it is as much thanks to the progresses of artillery as thanks to Joan of Arc’s heroism, that France is grateful to have been able to overthrow the foreign oppression from 1428 to 1450. Because, the fear that the Lords had of the people, the dissension among the nobles would have maybe brought France to its ruin, if the artillery, skilfully led, did not bring to the royal power a new force, and give it both the mean to repulse France’s enemies and to destroy the castles of those feudal lords who did not have any fatherland”.
Aware of the great force coming from his artillery, Charles VII is said to have told his son Louis : “Never part with your green dogs” (because of the colour of bronze cannons after some time).
Why was Calais left to the English until 1558 although it could have been easily retaken in 1453 ? It seems that the cause of it is a concession from Charles VII to the Duke of Burgundy during the Treaty of Arras. Indeed, the Duke feared that his Flemish cities – which lived mostly thanks to textile trade- would be bankrupt if English wool had come to lack.

Why was Calais left to the English until 1558 although it could have been easily retaken in 1453 ? It seems that the cause of it is a concession from Charles VII to the Duke of Burgundy during the Treaty of Arras. Indeed, the Duke feared that his Flemish cities – which lived mostly thanks to textile trade- would be bankrupt if English wool had come to lack.

Michael Bishop is a Richmond musician best known for his work with GWAR. In the late 1980s, Bishop started as the bassist for the shock rock band while in high school, creating the character Beefkake the Mighty. Bishop left the band to concentrate on Kepone, a post-punk group who released three records between 1992 and 2000. In 2012, he earned a Ph.D. in music from the University of Virginia, specializing in popular music ethnography and performance studies. Following the death of GWAR singer Dave Brockie in 2014, Michael became the band’s vocalist, the Berserker Blöthar. Today, he stays busy as a writer and learning strategist, a member of Kepone and a country and soul group called the Misery Brothers, and the bassist for Sarah White. He also works with composer J. William Adkins on music, stage, and animation projects.

So I had wanted to make a Hannibal video and I did start to, but then I just got the sudden urge to make another badass video of my baby - and wala! Here is the video. I hope that you enjoy it and bask in the loveliness that is Shane West kicking some ass.
I hope that for the final six episode's we really get Michael kicking some serious ass - and that it won't be long before we see Shane back on our screens again. It will be bittersweet for sure. I have some Mikita videos planned too - so don't worry Mikita subbers, I will be vidding the kickass duo soon!
