Roulette (curve)
In the differential geometry of curves, a roulette is a kind of curve, generalizing cycloids, epicycloids, hypocycloids, trochoids, and involutes.

Informal definition
Roughly speaking, a roulette is the curve described by a point (called the generator or pole) attached to a given curve as that curve rolls without slipping, along a second given curve that is fixed. More precisely, given a curve attached to a plane which is moving so that the curve rolls, without slipping, along a given curve attached to a fixed plane occupying the same space, then a point attached to the moving plane describes a curve, in the fixed plane called a roulette.
In the illustration, the fixed curve (blue) is a parabola, the rolling curve (green) is an equal parabola, and the generator is the vertex of the rolling parabola which describes the roulette (red). In this case the roulette is the cissoid of Diocles.
Special cases and related concepts
In the case where the rolling curve is a line and the generator is a point on the line, the roulette is called an involute of the fixed curve. If the rolling curve is a circle and the fixed curve is a line then the roulette is a trochoid. If, in this case, the point lies on the circle then the roulette is a cycloid.
Roulette (band)
Roulette (international title) or "Рулетка" (Russian title) – Russian Roulette (UK and Japanese title) is an emo/hard rock band from Kazan, Russia.
The band has released four top selling albums in their nine-year career, including The Red Album featuring the #1 single “Hear My Voice”. Their single, the power balled “Natasha”, reached #2 on the Top 5 in Russia.
History
In 1999 guitarist and singer Nikolay (Nikki) Minkov, bassist Alexy Belov, bassist, guitarist Jan Ianenkov, American guitarist Kyle Kyle and drummer Sascha Alexander came together to form Roulette.
The band released a self-titled debut album in 1999, featuring a stylized Hammer & Sickle on the cover. The band gained a reputation quickly of being stand-offish with the press and fans which only served to fuel the band's popularity. Their following releases have sold five million copies in Russia. The Red Album has been #1 on the charts since its release in September 2007.
In 2008 the band received the Scandinavian Music Award as the best international act.
Rainbow kick
The association football rainbow kick (also called the reverse flick-over, the rainbow flick USA, the Carretilha or the Lambreta Brazil as well as in Italy the Lambretta, the Ardiles flick UK, arco iris Spain, the Okocha-Trick in Germany and coup du sombrero in France) and the Djalminha at MN5 is a trick used in association football, in which a player steps to the side of the ball and flicks it up round from the side of them. The trajectory of the ball gives this trick its name. The trick is usually performed while running forward with the ball, and is done by rolling the ball up the back of one leg with the other foot, before flicking the standing foot upwards to propel the ball forward and over the head.
History
This trick is an impressive show of skill, sometimes seen in street soccer. It is rarely used in modern professional football, as it has a relatively low success rate, but players with high confidence and skill may attempt it from time to time as a feint, to beat opposing players when dribbling. The rainbow kick was performed at the 2002 FIFA World Cup when Turkey's İlhan Mansız, in what was described as a "sombrero" move of "outrageous skill", flicked the ball over both his head and the head of Brazil's world-class side-back Roberto Carlos, forcing Carlos into a foul. Sometimes the use of tricks like the rainbow kick are seen as showboating and disrespectful to the opposing team. In March 2008, the Sheffield Wednesday player Franck Songo'o, on his debut loan appearance for the Championship side against Queens Park Rangers, attempted the trick in the closing minutes of the game, which Wednesday were leading, with one match report commenting that the referee "quickly called a halt to proceedings as Rangers players piled in threatening to lynch the Frenchman".

Rush (2012 film)
Rush is a 2012 Bollywood thriller film directed by Shamin Desai. The film features Emraan Hashmi, Aditya Pancholi, Neha Dhupia and Sagarika Ghatge. The storyline is based on media and crime. The film released on 26 October 2012 on Dussehra. After the death of director Desai, the film was completed by his wife Priyanka Desai. It generally received negative response from critics and was declared a disaster at box-office.
Plot
The story follows media, politics, crime and sex at the point of life and death. Samar Grover (Emraan Hashmi) is a struggling news reporter. Even though his talk show is at the pinnacle of success, his personal life has turned upside down due to problems with his wife (Sagarika Ghatge). Seeing no way out, he accepts an assignment offered by a dynamic media tycoon named Lisa (Neha Dhupia), which he believes can make him millions. However, along with Lisa, one of India's most richest man, Roger Khanna (Aditya Pancholi), together play a game on Samar, which plunges him into a vortex of violence in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Beneath the veneer of glamour, money, power and the enviable life of media, lays a truth that is at once unbelievable and shocking.

Music of the Sun is the debut studio album by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna. It was released by Def Jam Recordings on August 30, 2005. Prior to signing with Def Jam, Rihanna was discovered by record producer Evan Rogers in Barbados, who helped Rihanna record demo tapes to send out to several record labels. Jay-Z, the former chief executive officer (CEO) and president of Def Jam, was given Rihanna's demo by Jay Brown, his A&R at Def Jam, and invited her to audition for the label after hearing what turned out to be her first single, "Pon de Replay". She auditioned for Jay-Z and L.A. Reid, the former CEO and president of record label group The Island Def Jam Music Group, and was signed on the spot to prevent her from signing with another record label.
After Rihanna was signed by Jay-Z, she continued to work with Rogers and his production partner Carl Sturken, as well as other music producers such as, Poke & Tone, D. "Supa Dups" Chin-quee, and StarGate. Music of the Sun features vocals from Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall, music group J-Status, and Jamaican singer Vybz Kartel. Its music incorporates Caribbean music such as dancehall and reggae, as well as dance-pop and R&B ballads.
