FILM DESCRIPTION:
Based on a popular British cult comic book, this film is the story of a futuristic feminist superhero and her fight to preserve the environment against an evil government bureaucracy. The action is set in the year 2033, after an ecological disaster of drought and pollution has ravaged the countryside, and water is scarce. Tank Girl (Lori Petty) is a sassy punker who has her own vintage tank in tow, along with other high-tech weapons. Her mutant friends join her in bizarre battles against the corporate-statist Department of Water and Power and its villainous chief, Kesslee (Malcolm McDowell). At stake is the world's water supply, which the Department is hoarding and which the rebels frequently raid. Rock star Iggy Pop has a cameo as Rat Face, one of the half-human, half-kangaroo Rippers. Courtney Love coordinated the post-punk soundtrack.

Lori Petty
Lori Petty (born October 14, 1963) is an American actress, film director and screenwriter. As an actress, she is best known for playing Tyler Endicott in the 1991 film Point Break, Kit Keller in A League of Their Own (1992), and the title role in Tank Girl in 1995. Petty also guest-starred in the second season, and became a recurring character in the third season of the Netflix Original Series Orange Is the New Black as "Lolly".
Early life
Petty, the oldest of three children, was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of a Pentecostal minister. She graduated from North High School in Sioux City, Iowa, in 1981 and worked for several years in Omaha, Nebraska, as a graphic designer before pursuing acting.
Career
Petty first came to notice for playing the surfer who taught Keanu Reeves how to surf in the 1991 action thriller Point Break. Prior to that, she got her break starring with Richard Grieco in Fox's Booker.
In 1992, Petty was featured in what became her best-known role, A League of Their Own, opposite Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna. Petty played the title role in the film adaptation of the British cult comic book Tank Girl in 1995. Her other films include Free Willy, The Poker House and In the Army Now. She also co-starred in the television series Lush Life with her friend Karyn Parsons, but it was canceled after four episodes. She joined the cast of Brimstone as the owner of Stone's hotel.

Film festival
A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Some festivals focus on a specific film-maker or genre (e.g., film noir) or subject matter (e.g., horror film festivals). The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.

Tank Girl
Tank Girl is a British comic created by Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin. Originally drawn by Jamie Hewlett, it has also been drawn by Philip Bond, Glyn Dillon, Ashley Wood, Warwick Johnson-Cadwell, Jim Mahfood, Brett Parson. Jonathan Edwards, Craig Knowles, Rufus Dayglo, Andy Pritchett, and Mike McMahon.
The eponymous character Tank Girl (Rebecca Buck) drives a tank, which is also her home. She undertakes a series of missions for a nebulous organization before making a serious mistake and being declared an outlaw for her sexual inclinations and her substance abuse. The comic centres on her misadventures with her boyfriend, Booga, a mutant kangaroo. The comic's style was heavily influenced by punk visual art, and strips were frequently deeply disorganized, anarchic, absurdist, and psychedelic. The strip features various elements with origins in surrealist techniques, fanzines, collage, cut-up technique, stream of consciousness, and metafiction, with very little regard or interest for conventional plot or committed narrative.

Lions Clubs International (LCI) is an American secular, non-political service organization founded by Melvin Jones in 1917. As of April 2015, it had over 46,000 local clubs and more than 1.4 million members in over 200 countries around the world. Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States, the organization aims to meet the needs of communities on a local and global scale.
Introduction
Lions Clubs International, a service membership organization of over 1.4 million members worldwide (as of April 2015), was founded in the United States on June 7, 1917, by Melvin Jones, a Chicago businessman. Jones asked, with regard to his colleagues, "What if these men who are successful because of their drive, intelligence and ambition, were to put their talents to work improving their communities?" Jones' personal code, "You can't get very far until you start doing something for somebody else," reminds many Lions of the importance of community service.
The Lions motto is "We Serve." Local Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, and many other programs. The discussion of politics and religion is forbidden. The LIONS acronym also stands for Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nations' Safety.

Cannon County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the population was 13,801. Its county seat is Woodbury.
Cannon County is part of the Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin, TN Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Cannon County was established by the Tennessee state legislature on January 31, 1836. It was formed from portions of Rutherford, Smith, and Warren counties and was named for Governor Newton Cannon. This was part of the Middle Tennessee region, with mixed farming and livestock raising, including of thoroughbred horses. There were more slaveholders here than in Eastern Tennessee.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 266 square miles (690 km2), of which 266 square miles (690 km2) is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km2) (0.02%) is water.

The Poker House
This was an film I shot for Lori Petty. I think Selma Blair killed it, best performance I may have seen in my life thus far. It was cold as shit when we shot in chicago. We had kids every day, and had to shoot days only. We tented the house with white side in ultra bounce and banged 12K's into it for huge book lights during the day. Lori really wanted this purple and pink light coming in the windows in the morning and the evening, so it was a bit of an experiment with gels and exposure to find the right combo. She expressed to me that the film should feel like a dream or part fantasy. So we went for it. In retrospect i should have fought to keep the windows way down in the evening. Live and learn, I really love what we did in some scenes in the film.

Blood Drives in Cannon County for over 60 years. {{more}} It has been said that the Lions Club drives are the best in the Tennessee Valley Region Blood Services area, which includes all of Tennessee, parts of Kentucky, and Alabama. The extra effort put forth by the Lions Club has little to do with it. The Woodbury Lions Club has a committee of members that work together to help insure that everything runs smoothly, along with community volunteers who like to help out. Some of the volunteers have more experience working with blood drives that the actual Red Cross staff who go out daily working with blood drives within the area. Prey For Rock and Roll Main Title Sequence
This job was a lot of fun. Jon Thomas and I made all of these cards in the style of band flyers and went around downtown Manhattan and taped them up in graffiti filled spots. We then took sequences of stills to give it a rough, hand-animated feel. All the moves in/out, left/right had to shot in camera. Knowing how often credits change order or you are asked to change things I made sure we did each one with multiple variations of transitions so we weren't stuck with just one. In the end, BFD got its own title card. I'm the one peeking out with a mohawk.

This was an film I shot for Lori Petty. I think Selma Blair killed it, best performance I may have seen in my life thus far. It was cold as shit when we shot in chicago. We had kids every day, and had to shoot days only. We tented the house with white side in ultra bounce and banged 12K's into it for huge book lights during the day. Lori really wanted this purple and pink light coming in the windows in the morning and the evening, so it was a bit of an experiment with gels and exposure to find the right combo. She expressed to me that the film should feel like a dream or part fantasy. So we went for it. In retrospect i should have fought to keep the windows way down in the evening. Live and learn, I really love what we did in some scenes in the film.

Blood Drives in Cannon County for over 60 years. {{more}}
It has been said that the Lions Club drives are the best in the Tennessee Valley Region Blood Services area, which includes all of Tennessee, parts of Kentucky, and Alabama.
The extra effort put forth by the Lions Club has little to do with it. The Woodbury Lions Club has a committee of members that work together to help insure that everything runs smoothly, along with community volunteers who like to help out.
Some of the volunteers have more experience working with blood drives that the actual Red Cross staff who go out daily working with blood drives within the area.
Committee chairmen’s Patsy and Carl Hirlston and Bobby Bogard with committee members Ken and Artie Jean McIntyre, Lois Larimer, Clyde Thomas, Nolan Northcutt, Robert Jennings, Charlie Brown, Clyde and Kitty Bush, Chris Brushaber, Danny Miller, Cliff Swoape, Andy Jacobs, Doug Combs, and Gina Mitchell, all work together along with community volunteers of Bessie Miller, Orval and Esther Gray, Juanita Burks, Cathey Parker, Betty Harder, Shirley Borren, Jane Jennings, Grace Young, Nile Young, Della Young, Robert Young, Kay Campbell, Carol Davenport, Bobbie Henline, Jim Henline, Betty Paschal, Ann Todd, Mary Sue Vinson, and Mary Nelle Hillis too create a professional staff that assist members of the American Red Cross staff.
The Lions Club assigns a task of greeting donors and signing them in, handing out water and assigning donors with a number.
Copies of the Cannon Courier are provided for donors to read before or after their donation.
Red Cross provides snacks and the Woodbury Lions Club has additional snacks such as: a one-of-a-kind trail mix, peanut butter and crackers, baloney and crackers, and cheese and crackers.
A staff works in the canteen area who assist the donors after they have donated by getting them a drink of juice, water, soda, or coffee and then sitting with them and talking. They also watch the donor to see if the donors face color changes or if their arm starts bleeding from where the donor had given blood.
Woodbury Club also keeps records of each donation and awards donors with pins and Certificates when completing gallon donations. Along with taking pictures of donors receiving awards and being pinned with a gallon donation pin, plus having members of the Lions Club calling and reminding donors of upcoming blood drives also adds a little bit more to why Cannon County Blood Drives are better and produces more regular donors than other areas which has a larger population.
Woodbury Lions Club host six blood drives a year, always the third Thursday in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Each blood drive is noon until six pm except May’s drive, which runs from 9 am until 6 pm. May’s blood drive is a donor appreciation drive, and most of the businesses in Cannon County donate door prizes.
In the last five to six years, each donor was able to win three of four items because of the generosity of the businesses and their support of the Lions Club and wanting to reward the true everyday heroes of Cannon County, those who give of themselves to help save the lives of others. In most cases, they are saving the lives of people who they do not know.

Blood Drives in Cannon County for over 60 years. {{more}}
It has been said that the Lions Club drives are the best in the Tennessee Valley Region Blood Services area, which includes all of Tennessee, parts of Kentucky, and Alabama.
The extra effort put forth by the Lions Club has little to do with it. The Woodbury Lions Club has a committee of members that work together to help insure that everything runs smoothly, along with community volunteers who like to help out.
Some of the volunteers have more experience working with blood drives that the actual Red Cross staff who go out daily working with blood drives within the area.
Committee chairmen’s Patsy and Carl Hirlston and Bobby Bogard with committee members Ken and Artie Jean McIntyre, Lois Larimer, Clyde Thomas, Nolan Northcutt, Robert Jennings, Charlie Brown, Clyde and Kitty Bush, Chris Brushaber, Danny Miller, Cliff Swoape, Andy Jacobs, Doug Combs, and Gina Mitchell, all work together along with community volunteers of Bessie Miller, Orval and Esther Gray, Juanita Burks, Cathey Parker, Betty Harder, Shirley Borren, Jane Jennings, Grace Young, Nile Young, Della Young, Robert Young, Kay Campbell, Carol Davenport, Bobbie Henline, Jim Henline, Betty Paschal, Ann Todd, Mary Sue Vinson, and Mary Nelle Hillis too create a professional staff that assist members of the American Red Cross staff.
The Lions Club assigns a task of greeting donors and signing them in, handing out water and assigning donors with a number.
Copies of the Cannon Courier are provided for donors to read before or after their donation.
Red Cross provides snacks and the Woodbury Lions Club has additional snacks such as: a one-of-a-kind trail mix, peanut butter and crackers, baloney and crackers, and cheese and crackers.
A staff works in the canteen area who assist the donors after they have donated by getting them a drink of juice, water, soda, or coffee and then sitting with them and talking. They also watch the donor to see if the donors face color changes or if their arm starts bleeding from where the donor had given blood.
Woodbury Club also keeps records of each donation and awards donors with pins and Certificates when completing gallon donations. Along with taking pictures of donors receiving awards and being pinned with a gallon donation pin, plus having members of the Lions Club calling and reminding donors of upcoming blood drives also adds a little bit more to why Cannon County Blood Drives are better and produces more regular donors than other areas which has a larger population.
Woodbury Lions Club host six blood drives a year, always the third Thursday in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Each blood drive is noon until six pm except May’s drive, which runs from 9 am until 6 pm. May’s blood drive is a donor appreciation drive, and most of the businesses in Cannon County donate door prizes.
In the last five to six years, each donor was able to win three of four items because of the generosity of the businesses and their support of the Lions Club and wanting to reward the true everyday heroes of Cannon County, those who give of themselves to help save the lives of others. In most cases, they are saving the lives of people who they do not know.

This job was a lot of fun. Jon Thomas and I made all of these cards in the style of band flyers and went around downtown Manhattan and taped them up in graffiti filled spots. We then took sequences of stills to give it a rough, hand-animated feel. All the moves in/out, left/right had to shot in camera. Knowing how often credits change order or you are asked to change things I made sure we did each one with multiple variations of transitions so we weren't stuck with just one. In the end, BFD got its own title card. I'm the one peeking out with a mohawk.

Bates Motel is a 1987 television movie spin-off of the 1960 suspense/horror film Psycho. The film is about Alex West, a mentally disturbed youth who was admitted to an asylum after killing his abusive stepfather.
