Pacquiao v Horn: Journalist calls out sexist behaviour

Tegan George and her friends say they were subjected to hours of sexist comments while trying to watch the Pacquiao-Horn fight on Sunday.

The tirade went on for "hours", George said, and she posted a video of the heckling to Twitter.

The women notified police and the three men were escorted from the stadium.

On Tuesday, Sports Minister Mick de Brenni said the men involved had been banned from Stadiums Queensland venues for two years.

"There is no place for sexism, harassment and racism in Queensland and there is no place for racism and sexism at our stadiums," Mr de Brenni said.

"The behaviour that has been reported is deeply offensive and it's disgraceful."

Mr de Brenni said Queensland's stadiums were family friendly venues where people should feel safe.

"Yesterday I asked Stadiums Queensland to advise me what options they could take with regards to this behaviour and I have endorsed a two year ban," he said.

"The point at which you engage in this sort of offensive behaviour is the point at which you lose your right to watch events live at one of our venues.

"If you can't enjoy sport without ruining other people's enjoyment then you can hurl as much abuse as you want at your TV at home. You won't be seeing anything live at any of our venues."
