Weathering is the breaking down of rocks, soil and minerals as well as artificial materials through contact with the Earth's atmosphere, biota and waters. Weathering occurs in situ, roughly translated to: "with no movement", and thus should not be confused with erosion, which involves the movement of rocks and minerals by agents such as water, ice, snow, wind, waves and gravity and then being transported and deposited in other locations.
Two important classifications of weathering processes exist – physical and chemical weathering; each sometimes involves a biological component. Mechanical or physical weathering involves the breakdown of rocks and soils through direct contact with atmospheric conditions, such as heat, water, ice and pressure. The second classification, chemical weathering, involves the direct effect of atmospheric chemicals or biologically produced chemicals also known as biological weathering in the breakdown of rocks, soils and minerals. While physical weathering is accentuated in very cold or very dry environments, chemical reactions are most intense where the climate is wet and hot. However, both types of weathering occur together, and each tends to accelerate the other. For example, physical abrasion (rubbing together) decreases the size of particles and therefore increases their surface area, making them more susceptible to rapid chemical reactions. The various agents act in concert to convert primary minerals (feldspars and micas) to secondary minerals (clays and carbonates) and release plant nutrient elements in soluble forms.
Crash Course (also known as Driving Academy) is a 1988 made for television teen film directed by Oz Scott.
Crash Course centers on a group of high schoolers in a driver’s education class; many for the second or third time. The recently divorced teacher, super-passive Larry Pearl, is on thin ice with the football fanatic principal, Principal Paulson, who is being pressured by the district superintendent to raise driver’s education completion rates or lose his coveted football program. With this in mind, Principal Paulson and his assistant, with a secret desire for his job, Abner Frasier, hire an outside driver’s education instructor with a very tough reputation, Edna Savage, aka E.W. Savage, who quickly takes control of the class.
The plot focuses mostly on the students and their interactions with their teachers and each other. In the beginning, Rico is the loner with just a few friends, Chadley is the bookish nerd with few friends who longs to be cool and also longs to be a part of Vanessa’s life who is the young, friendly and attractive girl who had to fake her mother’s signature on her driver’s education permission slip. Kichi is the hip-hop Asian kid who often raps what he has to say and constantly flirts with Maria, the rich foreign girl who thinks that the right-of-way on the roadways always goes to (insert awesomely fake foreign Latino accent) “my father’s limo”. Finally you have stereotypical football meathead J.J., who needs to pass his English exam to keep his eligibility and constantly asks out and gets rejected by Alice, the tomboy whose father owns “Santini & Son” Concrete Company. Alice is portrayed as being the “son” her father wanted.

In this episode of Crash Course Kids, Sabrina gives us a real world example of how the Hydrosphere and Geosphere affect each other in the form of Weathering and Erosion. Think of Weathering as the force that makes a mess and Erosion as the force that cleans it up. This first series is based on 5th grade science. We're super excited and hope you enjoy Crash Course Kids! ///Standards Used in This Video/// 5-ESS2-1. Weathering is the process where rocks are worn away or broken down into smaller pieces by wind ,water or plants etc.Erosion happens when these broken rocks and sediments are picked up & moved to another place by ice, water or wind.
This lecture explains the basic difference between weathering and erosion. Dr. Manishika Jain further explains the 3 types of weathering - Biological, physical and chemical and finally 6 primary agents of erosion viz., Water, Ice, Wave, Wind, Biological and Gravity. Welcome to my full weathering tutorial on this Dragon StuG III F/8 in 1/35th scale. In this step-by-step video, I demonstrate my usual weathering process, show all the products I use, and explain how and why I am weathering the tank the way I am. Keep in mind that this is MY weathering process, and I am not an expert modeler. You don’t need to do everything the way I do, or use the exact same products I do, as there are other similar products you can use to achieve similar effects. And on that note, a DISCLAIMER: I am not paid to promote any specific products or brands; I just use the products I find work best for me through my experiences. There is no reason for me to promote a bad product, as then I would not enjoy using it, not like the result on my model, and not be proud of p...

In this short tutorial I show how I lay the foundation to weathering my armor models through the use of Oil colours in order to achieve a number of effects and tonal/value changes. It's a very simple technique with an virtually endless number of possibilities, that can be taken to any level of detail you wish to. You can use these timestamps to help you navigate the tutorial: 1- Introduction: 00:45 2 - Highlighting panels: 07:00 3 - Detail weathering: 13:16 4 - Weathering horizontal surfaces: 19:11 5 - Final thoughts: 22:03 Thanks to everyone for the support! Well, its finally time. I have wanted to weather my RC4wd Gelande II cruiser since I opened the box. But I have waited and practiced on several other bodies, and I guess I am as ready as I will ever be. These techniques are ever evolving. Each truck has changed and shaped the process more and more. So I hope you can use some of my ideas in your own projects. Stay tuned for more steps in the process, we still have to age the interior, chassis, and wheels. Thanks for Watching! They never sought him out to let him know
Withering, he stayed, growing weak
As if his flesh would burn out their eyes
His voice, wrench the ears from their heads,
And shatter their hollow skulls!
What hath he done, this creature, unknown
In character and stance
To be inflicted with such rage and fury?
Ah yes, to be unknown is to be frozen in
