A central processing unit (CPU) is the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions. The term has been used in the computer industry at least since the early 1960s. Traditionally, the term "CPU" refers to a processor, more specifically to its processing unit and control unit (CU), distinguishing these core elements of a computer from external components such as main memory and I/O circuitry.
The form, design and implementation of CPUs have changed over the course of their history, but their fundamental operation remains almost unchanged. Principal components of a CPU include the arithmetic logic unit (ALU) that performs arithmetic and logic operations, processor registers that supply operands to the ALU and store the results of ALU operations, and a control unit that fetches instructions from memory and "executes" them by directing the coordinated operations of the ALU, registers and other components.

Crash Course (also known as Driving Academy) is a 1988 made for television teen film directed by Oz Scott.
Crash Course centers on a group of high schoolers in a driver’s education class; many for the second or third time. The recently divorced teacher, super-passive Larry Pearl, is on thin ice with the football fanatic principal, Principal Paulson, who is being pressured by the district superintendent to raise driver’s education completion rates or lose his coveted football program. With this in mind, Principal Paulson and his assistant, with a secret desire for his job, Abner Frasier, hire an outside driver’s education instructor with a very tough reputation, Edna Savage, aka E.W. Savage, who quickly takes control of the class.
The plot focuses mostly on the students and their interactions with their teachers and each other. In the beginning, Rico is the loner with just a few friends, Chadley is the bookish nerd with few friends who longs to be cool and also longs to be a part of Vanessa’s life who is the young, friendly and attractive girl who had to fake her mother’s signature on her driver’s education permission slip. Kichi is the hip-hop Asian kid who often raps what he has to say and constantly flirts with Maria, the rich foreign girl who thinks that the right-of-way on the roadways always goes to (insert awesomely fake foreign Latino accent) “my father’s limo”. Finally you have stereotypical football meathead J.J., who needs to pass his English exam to keep his eligibility and constantly asks out and gets rejected by Alice, the tomboy whose father owns “Santini & Son” Concrete Company. Alice is portrayed as being the “son” her father wanted.
Central is an adjective usually referring to being in the center of some place or (mathematical) object.
Central may also refer to:

Speed Up Your Computer With Minimum Experience! - http://bit.ly/2i7RWMj I'm going to try and help explain what a CPU (Processor) is and what the specs associated with it mean Transcript: CPU also known as processor stands for central processing unit. This is what does the calculations in your computer and is most probably the main contributor to the speed and responsiveness for your system. The speed of clock frequency refers to how many cycles the processor goes through in a second. A 3.0 ghz processor does 3 million cycles per second. Obviously the more cycles the faster the unit, however the efficiency of each cycle is also important. The efficiency of each cycle is known as IPC, instruction per cycle. The computer does its primary work in a part of the machine we cannot see, a control center that converts data input to information output. This control center, called the central processing unit CPU is a highly complex, extensive set of electronic circuitry that executes stored program instructions. All computers, large and small, must have a central processing unit. As Figure 1 shows, the central processing unit consists of two parts: The control unit and the arithmetic/logic unit. Each part has a specific function. Before we discuss the control unit and the arithmetic/logic unit in detail, we need to consider data storage and its relationship to the central processing unit. Computers use two types of storage: Primary storage and secondary storage. The CPU interacts closely with primary...
Engines: Central Processing Unit Of A Vehicle - History Documentary Films An engine, or motor, is a machine designed to transform one form of power into power. Warmth engines, consisting of interior combustion engines and external combustion engines (such as steam engines) burn a fuel to add heat, which then produces a pressure. Electric motors convert electrical energy into mechanical movement, pneumatic motors use pressed air and others-- such as clockwork motors in wind-up toys-- utilize elastic power. In organic systems, molecular motors, like myosins in muscles, use chemical energy to add pressures and ultimately activity. "Engine" was initially a term for any type of mechanical gadget that transforms force right into activity. For this reason, pre-industrial tools such as launches,...
A central processing unit (CPU) (formerly also referred to as a central processor unit) is the hardware within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of the system. The term has been in use in the computer industry at least since the early 1960s. The form, design, and implementation of CPUs have changed over the course of their history, but their fundamental operation remains much the same. A computer can have more than one CPU; this is called multiprocessing. All modern CPUs are microprocessors, meaning contained on a single chip. Some integrated circuits (ICs) can contain multiple CPUs on a single chip; those ICs are called multi-core processors. An IC containing a CPU can also contain ...
