Break the Spell

Break the Spell is the third studio album by American rock band Daughtry, released on November 21, 2011, by RCA Records. It is a follow-up to their platinum selling album Leave This Town in 2009. On December 15, the album was officially certified Gold.

Background

According to Chris, the album is "more upbeat and positive lyrically" and also stated that the album sounds "nothing like the previous two". Chris wrote all the songs with band guitarists Josh Steely and Brian Craddock, bassist Josh Paul, and collaborated with Marti Frederiksen, Busbee and Brett James. The album was produced by Howard Benson, who also produced their previous two albums.

Prior to the album's release, during the month of November, the tracks "Renegade", "Louder Than Ever" and "Outta My Head" were used by ESPN during some of their programming broadcasts.

Break the Spell opened at number 67 on the UK charts. On the Billboard 200, Break the Spell opened at #8 with sales of 129,000

Hixxy

Hixxy or DJ Hixxy, real name Ian Hicks (born 3 August 1975), is a British UK Hardcore and previously happy hardcore DJ and musician from Portsmouth, England.

Hixxy is well known for his performances on the Bonkers compilation series. He also contributes to many Clubland CDs, including many Clubland X-Treme Hardcore compilations, and Hardcore Till I Die. He started off his DJ career with the song "Toytown" which was released in 1995, This record was a huge hit in the UK. Some of his most famous songs would include "More & More," "Forever Together," "Sea of Love," and many more. His remix of "Sea of Love" is featured in the popular indie game Techno Kitten Adventure.

Early years

Ian Hicks was born in Portsmouth. Hixxy's interest in DJing stemmed from an early obsession with US hip hop and rap. He was also influenced from watching DMC Championship videos. His interest in rave music developed in the early 1990s, and Hixxy began appearing at events on the south coast part of the UK, along with fellow DJs Ramos, Supreme and Sunset Regime. In 1994, Hicks met DJ Dougal at a Dreamscape event, which led to the creation of their own label Essential Platinum. The label was instantly catapulted to the top of the hardcore tree, making them instant heroes within the underground rave scene.

Da Tweekaz

Da Tweekaz is a Norwegian hardstyle production/DJ duo, consisting of Kenth Kvien and Marcus Nordli. They currently release their tracks at the Belgian record label Dirty Workz.

History

Kenth Kvien & Marcus Nordli were making other types of hard dance music before they entered the hardstyle scene. They ended up releasing "Angeli Domini" on Spider Records. They had their first release on major hardstyle label Dirty Workz in 2010.

In 2012 Da Tweekaz moved from Norway to Belgium permanently because of all the festivals and events in Belgium and The Netherlands.

In 2014 they're releasing one Track per month. Each release was released on the 1st day of the current month. This action is part of the #tweekay14
