Moonrise (月出) is the fifth studio album by Chinese singer Dadawa (朱哲琴), which is the result of a five month tour of Chinese ethnic minority regions in 2009, investigating minority music. The album is based on and inspired by the music discovered in China's Guizhou province, Yunnan province, Tibet, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia.
This is her first album without long-term collaborator, He Xuntian and the first to be self-produced.
The album features music mainly written by Inner Mongolian musician Zulan, with lyrics drawn from Chinese classics such as The Book of Songs and ethnic minority folk songs. One track, "Mountain Top" has lyrics by the 6th Dalai Lama.
Dadawa also has guest vocalists on the album for the first time. These are for the most part members of the ethnic minorities which inspired the music. These are referred to as "Ethnic Music Masters" on the album packaging. The album also features samples from the original minority folk music.
Moonrise is a book written by Penny Wolfson. The full name, Moonrise; One Family, Genetic Identity, And Muscular Dystrophy, refers to her family and her son, Ansel, who has struggled through his life with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. As Ansel progresses in life, he gets weaker, and begins to use a wheelchair, but stays much fitter than most with Duchenne. Ansel later went to Columbia University. After 23 years of living with this disability, Ansel still lives a healthy and productive life.
The author won a national magazine award for the article the book was subsequently based on.
Moonrise Festival is an electronic dance music festival held in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2013, the festival was scheduled to be held on June 8 and 9 in Port Covington. However, the festival was cancelled due to event organizers failing to get the necessary city permits.

Final Fight (Japanese: ファイナルファイト, Hepburn: Fainaru Faito) is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up video game produced by Capcom. Originally released as an arcade game in 1989, it was the seventh title released for the CP System hardware. Set in the fictional Metro City, the player controls one of three characters: former pro wrestler and mayor Mike Haggar, his daughter's boyfriend Cody, and Cody's best friend Guy, as they set out to defeat the Mad Gear gang and rescue Haggar's young daughter Jessica.
The game began development as a sequel to the original Street Fighter released in 1987, but the genre was switched from a fighting game to a beat 'em up and the title was changed following the success of Double Dragon. Final Fight was ported to various home consoles such as the SNES and was followed by a few sequels. Its development team later worked on the original Street Fighter II and some of the characters from Final Fight later appeared as playable fighters in other entries of the franchise such as the Street Fighter Alpha sub-series.

In this antidote to a “quit your job and do what you love” talk, Jessica explains that the key to answering the question we’ve all been asked since we were little—”What you want to be when you grow up?”—is finding out who you are in the first place. And discovering that “who you are” is never static—it shifts and transforms over and over again as you grow, change, mature, hormonally implode, etc. She’ll share transformative personal experiences that have changed how she approaches work, walk through how she balances parenting and professional life, and talk about why we should celebrate who we are and what we’re capable of at every stage—from the naive beginner to the seasoned pro. Jessica Hische is a lettering artist and author working in San Francisco. She has had the pleasure of workin...
