Composer

A composer (Latin com+ponere, literally "one who puts together") is a person who creates music. The core meaning of the term refers to individuals who have contributed to the tradition of Western classical music through creation of works expressed in written musical notation. In broader usage, "composer" can designate people who participate in other musical traditions, as well as those who create music by means other than written notation: for example, through improvisation, recording, and arrangement. In popular music genres, musicians who create new songs are typically called songwriters.

Arjuna Harjai

Arjuna Harjai is a popular Indian film composer, Musician and singer, working in Bollywood, known for his chartbuster songs " O Soniye " & " Kyu hua "sung by Arijit Singh & Neeti Mohan for the film Titoo MBA. After working as a jingle composer, he debuted as a film scorer in the 2011, and debuted as a composer with Priyanshu Chatterjee starer Calapor for which he composed four original songs and background score (2013), He is the son of Delhi's Top grade singer Lakshmi Madhusudan and composer Madhusudan Harjai.

Early life

He started learning classical music at a very young age under the guidance of his parents mainly influenced by Ghazal style. At the age of 11 he started learning piano and studied till the Grade 8th of Trinity College, later he also studied jazz and counterpoint composition with various teachers. In 2006 he came to Mumbai and studied Indian classical music from renowned singer Suresh Wadkar and also finished his audio engineering in 2008 from SAE Institute in Mumbai.

Surabhi Dashputra

Surabhi Dashputra is an Indian singer and lyricist working in Bollywood, known for her chartbuster songs " O Soniye " , " O Ranjhna " & " Atyachaari " sung by singers like Arijit Singh & Neeti Mohan and herself for the film Titoo MBA. After writing jingles for the advertising industry, she started her bollywood career in 2012 with, Priyanshu Chatterjee starer Calapor for which she wrote three, and lend her voice for two songs.

Early life

She got an early exposure to Indian classical music from her mother and continued learning under gurus like " Anand Joshi & Chandrashekher Sengupta" in jabalpur, later in 2004 she shifted to Mumbai and joined Suresh Wadkar's AJIVASAN academy to further pursue her studies in Hindustani Music, after finishing her MA in music from University of Mumbai she started writing professionally for the advertising industry and wrote jingles for various brands such as Ayur, UMPL, Lovely Sweets, Marvel Tea, Aditya Ice cream and many more...

Career

While working for the advertising industry, Film music eventually came her way when Music composer Arjuna Harjai approached her for his upcoming Bollywood film Titoo MBA directed by Amit Vats, she wrote three songs for the project and also lend her voice for songs like " O Ranjhna ", " Atyachaari " , and " Plan Bana Le" with co singers Aishwarya Nigam & Arjuna Harjai .

Joseph Joachim

Joseph Joachim (28 June 1831 – 15 August 1907) was a Hungarian violinist, conductor, composer and teacher. A close collaborator of Johannes Brahms, he is widely regarded as one of the most significant violinists of the 19th century.

Life

Origins

Joseph Joachim was born in Kittsee (Kopčany/Köpcsény), near Eisenstadt and what is now Bratislava, Slovakia, in what is today's Burgenland area of Austria. He was the seventh of eight children born to Julius, a wool merchant, and Fanny Joachim, who were of Hungarian Jewish origin. His infancy was spent as a member of the Kittsee Kehilla (Jewish community), one of Hungary's prominent Siebengemeinden ('Seven Communities') under the protectorate of the Esterházy family. He was a first cousin of Fanny Wittgenstein, the mother of Karl Wittgenstein and the grandmother of the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein and the pianist Paul Wittgenstein.

Early career

In 1833 his family moved to Pest, where he studied violin with Stanisław Serwaczyński, the concertmaster of the opera in Pest. (Serwaczyński later moved back to Lublin, Poland, where he taught Wieniawski). In 1839, Joachim continued his studies at the Vienna Conservatory (briefly with Miska Hauser and Georg Hellmesberger, Sr.; finally – and most significantly – with Joseph Böhm). He was taken by his cousin, Fanny Wittgenstein to live and study in Leipzig, where he became a protégé of Felix Mendelssohn, who arranged for him to study theory and composition with Moritz Hauptmann at the Leipzig Conservatory. In his début performance in the Leipzig Gewandhaus he played the Otello Fantasy by Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst.

C major

The C major scale consists of the pitches C, D, E, F, G, A, and B. Its key signature has no flats and no sharps.

Its relative minor is A minor and its parallel minor is C minor.

C major is one of the most common key signatures used in western music. Most transposing instruments playing in their home key are notated in C major; for example, a clarinet in B♭ sounding a B-flat major scale is notated as playing a C major scale. The white keys of the piano correspond to the C major scale. Among brass instruments, the contra-bass tuba is in C. A pedal harp tuned to C major has all of its pedals in the middle position.

Simplicity

C major is often thought of as the simplest key, because there are no sharps and no flats, and beginning piano students' first pieces are usually simple ones in this key; the first scales and arpeggios that students learn are also usually C major. However, going against this common practice, the Polish-French composer Frédéric Chopin regarded this scale as the most difficult to play with complete evenness, and he tended to give it last to his students. He regarded B major as the easiest scale to play on the piano, because the position of the black and white notes best fit the natural positions of the fingers, and so he often had students start with this scale. There are no black keys in the C major scale, thus it doesn't fit the natural positions of the fingers well.
