Tyree Pittman (born November 14, 1993), better known by his stage name Young Chop or Young Chop On Da Beat, is an American record producer and entrepreneur from Chicago, Illinois. In 2012, he gained widespread recognition within the American hip hop community for producing Chief Keef's hits "I Don't Like", "Love Sosa" and "3Hunna". He released his first studio album Precious in 2013, established his own label called Chop Squad Records, and released Still the following year.
On September 25, 2015, with fellow rapper King 100 James, Chop released his album Fat Gang or No Gang, which would be the debut album of him and James' duo known as "Fat Gang." Chop also confirmed he would be making a sequel mixtape to Chief Keef's debut album Finally Rich, which would be released on his twenty-second birthday, November 14, 2015.
Pittman grew up in the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. Pittman started making beats when he was 11 years old with the help of his cousin. He was childhood friends with noted Chicago artist Chief Keef and went on to produce many of his songs. Chop is part of a production team collective called BandKamp which also includes producer and CEO BandKamp, Paris Beuller and intern WaldooBeatz, Chief Keef's Back From The Dead was officially the first mixtape he produced. Chop recently started his own independent label called Chop Squad. He has also started a website called SoundKitWiz.com, an online retail music production website where producers and engineers can purchase audio engineering and music production related products.

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

Slim Jesus stirred up a lot of controversy last year after admitting to VladTV that he doesn't live the life he raps about, which Young Chop addressed during a recent interview. The famed Chicago producer told us that Slim Jesus isn't the only rapper with a clean record that raps about street life, and Chop added that Slim Jesus has done well for himself after grabbing attention with "Drill Time." During the conversation Young Chop also touched on getting attacked by a security guard at A3C music festival, which included him getting his dreads ripped out. After revealing that he didn't realize that his dreads had been ripped out until a friend said something, Chop said he saw the same security guard trying to tackle him, which he dodged. Check out more of what Chop had to say about the s...
R.I.P. Smylez.... I had to reupload this in respect to the homie who had been going crazy for the city of Chicago since the beginning of what we call "Drill" music. Smylez was the first artist that allowed me to crossover into JoJo World. Before meeting with him I only had all Bd's on my camera, If it wasn't for him: y'all probably would of never seen some of the greats on my camera. Please like, share, and comment.
Microphone Check co-hosts Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Frannie Kelley spoke to Young Chop in the backyard of a store on the east side of Austin, Texas. Even in the midst of SXSW, the Chicago producer was selling beats and putting in studio time. He took a rare break to talk about studying songs from the '70s, Polow da Don's snare and encouraging up-and-coming artists, including those who step to him at the Texaco.--FRANNIE KELLEY CREDITS Producers: Mito Habe-Evans, Frannie Kelley, Ali Shaheed Muhammed; Audio Engineer: Kevin Wait; Videographers: Olivia Merrion, A.J. Young Chop exclusively talks to DJ Vlad about his rumored beef with Chief Keef. Although the hit producer has spent time apart from the Drill rapper due to busy schedules, he says they've always worked together. "Bruh, I've been working with bro, and they be just throwing the s*** off as if n***** ain't working or something." The producer cleared up the rumors, telling DJ Vlad, "That's my little brother. That's always going to be little bro." Watch the full interview above.
When it comes to violence in Chicago, more rappers are becoming shooting victims, and Young Chop believes it's because the gang life is a reality. "Maybe it's because we [are] more in the street s*** than most n*****. Chicago is big on gangs and s***." He told DJ Vlad, "That s*** means something to these n***** out here. I don't know why, but it just means some s*** to these n*****." He explained, for most, the gang life was not a choice, however, the need to be gang affiliated even began spreading to the suburbs. "Everybody in this motherf***** gangbanging. I don't give a f*** if you're from up north, suburbs. I get a lot of Snapchats of these preppy white kids want[ing] to gangbang. They don't know what the f*** they're throwing up, but everyone wants to gangbang." Watch the full interv...

There is perhaps no other producer around with as much buzz surrounding him as Chicago's Young Chop, whose record "I Don't Like" with similarly sweltering artist Chief Keef is currently seeing the likes of Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean and Jadakiss hopping on board the remix. LRG recently hit the studio with the 18-year-old phenom producer where he discussed how he got his start, some of the biggest records already under his belt and his signature sound. http://www.vladtv.com - Chi-town producer Young Chop stopped by the VladTV offices and shared his thoughts on friend and collaborator Chief Keef being dropped from Interscope, saying he doesn't know the details and was just as surprised as the rest of us. He recalls hearing the news shortly after having his own meeting with the label, so he was definitely shocked. He agreed with Keef's assessment that no one at the label understood him after Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine left, going a step further to say he doesn't believe the label ever fully understood Keef as an artist. Check out the Q&A; above.
