Kevin McCall

Kevin Lamar McCall, Jr. (born July 25, 1985), is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and rapper who was formerly signed to RCA Records and Chris Brown Entertainment (CBE). He is currently an independent artist.

Early life

Kevin Lamar McCall, Jr. was born in Los Angeles on July 25, 1985. He has three sisters and one brother. Though most of his childhood he spent playing football and continued playing in college at Washington State University, according to him he always had interest in music. He started singing in the church choir, and later taught himself to play piano.

Personal life

It was reported that in January 2013, McCall started dating actress and model Eva Marcille. They welcomed their first child, daughter Marley Rae McCall, on January 31, 2014; the two separated months after the child was born.

Chris Brown

Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, dancer, rapper and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. Having signed with Jive Records in 2004, Brown released his self-titled debut studio album the following year. It peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 and was later certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With his first single "Run It!" peaking atop the US Billboard Hot 100, Brown became the first male artist as a lead since Diddy in 1997 to have his debut single top the chart. His second album Exclusive (2007) spawned his second Hot 100 number one "Kiss Kiss", in addition to "With You" and "Forever". The album was also certified double platinum by the RIAA.

In 2009, Brown received much media attention after pleading guilty to felony assault of his then girlfriend, singer Rihanna; he was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service. His third album Graffiti was released later that year, and included the top-twenty single "I Can Transform Ya". Brown's fourth album F.A.M.E. (2011) became his first to top the Billboard 200; it spawned the successful singles "Yeah 3x", "Look at Me Now", and "Beautiful People". F.A.M.E. earned Brown his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album at the 54th Grammy Awards. His fifth album Fortune was released in 2012. However, after the release of Exclusive, Brown's albums have not been well received commercially or by music critics, with the exception of X, which received a normalized rating of 63. Brown's seventh studio album Royalty was released on December 18, 2015.

Kevin (/ˈkɛv.ɪn/; Irish: Caoimhín [kiː.vʲiːnʲ], Middle Irish: Caoimhghín [kəiṽʲ.ʝiːnʲ], Old Irish: Cóemgein [koiṽʲ.ɣʲinʲ], Scottish Gaelic: Caomhainn, Latin: Coemgenus) is a male first name of Goidelic origin. Among the earliest famous bearers of the name was Saint Kevin, although Kevin is not a biblical name. Caoimhghín derives from the Irish caomh (Old Irish cóem) "kind, honest, handsome" and -gin (Old Irish gein) "birth". Kevin influenced the similarly Irish-derived Kelvin, as well as the Latin Calvin. A more Franco-Celtic pronunciation is often written as Kévin, while a consciously Anglo-American pronunciation is written without the accent. Iyanla: Fix My Life is an American reality television series hosted by life coach and relationship expert Iyanla Vanzant on the Oprah Winfrey Network. A sneak preview episode aired on June 2, 2012, and the series debuted with a two-part series premiere on September 15 and September 16, 2012.

Background

Iyanla: Fix My Life features Vanzant helping people overcome difficulties in their lives. Each episode focuses on a specific problem posed by the story of one guest (or group of guests), with pre-taped production pieces at the guest's home and interviews with Iyanla that provide commentary throughout the show. Iyanla attempts to bring a different perspective to the situation and updates are provided to viewers at the close of each episode regarding the guest's progress since the date of filming.
