Place may refer to:
Place des Arts is a major performing arts centre in Montreal, Quebec, and the largest cultural and artistic complex in Canada.
Located in the eastern part of the city's downtown, between Ste-Catherine and de Maisonneuve Streets, and St-Urbain and Jeanne-Mance streets, in an area now known as the Quartier des Spectacles, the complex is home to the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and the Opéra de Montréal.
Place des Arts was an initiative of Mayor Jean Drapeau, a noted lover of opera, as part of a project to expand the downtown core eastward from the concentration of business and financial activity in the centre-west part of downtown. The Corporation George-Étienne-Cartier, named in honour of George-Étienne Cartier, a Father of Confederation and opera lover, was set up to build it, and the first part of the complex (including the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier) was inaugurated on September 21, 1963. The other theatres were added progressively. The Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal was added to the complex on May 28, 1992.
Ina Wroldsen (born May 28, 1984) is a Norwegian singer/songwriter. She is half of the electropop duo Ask Embla, with fellow Icelandic producer and songwriter Arnthor Birgisson. Wroldsen lives in London.
Wroldsen began writing songs for American artists to branch out of Norway and reach larger markets. She usually begins writing songs that start from a word or phrase, then she adds the melody and how the verses and chorus will feel. Wroldsen formed a band called Ask Embla in the summer of 2011. Her manager is Mark Ellwood. She released the solo singles, "Aliens" and "Rebels" in 2014 and 2015 respectively. She provides uncredited vocals on "How Deep Is Your Love" by Calvin Harris and Disciples.
Since 2013, the publishing interest of Ina Wroldsen’s catalog has been represented by Reverb Music/Reservoir Media Management.
Black Books is a British sitcom created by Dylan Moran and Graham Linehan that was broadcast on Channel 4 from 2000 to 2004. Starring Moran, Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig, the series is set in the eponymous London bookshop and follows the lives of its owner Bernard Black (Moran), his assistant Manny Bianco (Bailey) and their friend Fran Katzenjammer (Greig). The series was produced by Big Talk Productions, in association with Channel 4.
Black Books was produced in a multiple-camera setup, and was primarily filmed at Teddington Studios in Teddington, London, with exterior scenes filmed on location on Leigh Street and the surrounding areas in Bloomsbury. The debut episode premiered on 29 September 2000 and three seasons followed, with the final episode airing on 15 April 2004.
Black Books was a critical success, winning a number of awards, including two BAFTA awards for Best Situation Comedy in 2001 and 2005 and a Bronze Rose at the Festival Rose d'Or.
Bernard Black is the proprietor of Black Books, a small bookshop. The series revolves around the lives of Bernard, Manny and Fran. A central theme is Bernard's odd position as a moody and spiteful shopkeeper who has a loathing of the outside world and all the people who inhabit it, except his oldest friend, Fran, who initially ran a trendy bric-a-brac shop, Nifty Gifty, next-door to the shop.
Rachel Ashley Platten (born May 20, 1981) is an American singer and songwriter. Her third studio album and major-label debut, Wildfire, reached number five in the United States and received generally mixed reviews. The album spawned singles "Fight Song" and "Stand by You". "Fight Song" peaked at number six on Billboard Hot 100 and topped the UK Singles Chart. "Stand By You" so far peaked at number thirty-seven on Billboard Hot 100 becoming her second Top 40 hit.
Rachel Ashley Platten was born on May 20, 1981 to Jewish parents Paul and Pamela Platten (née Jabush). She was born in New York City but grew up in Newton Centre, Massachusetts. She studied classical piano from the age of 5 and then took up guitar in high school. She attended Buckingham Browne and Nichols for high school, where she sang in the school's singing group. At Trinity College, she was a member of the Trinitones, the college's all-female a cappella group. As a part of a study abroad program, she went to Trinidad to do an internship at a diplomat's office and at a record label. While she was there, she sang back up for a friend's band in front of over 80,000 people at the International Soca Monarch finals in 2002. Platten graduated from Trinity College with a degree in international relations in 2003. According to Platten, from that moment on she knew she had to pursue music full-time. She then moved to New York City's Greenwich Village where she cut her teeth playing with a Prince and Sly and the Family Stone cover band called Dayz of Wild. In 2012, it was reported that she married Kevin Lazan in a Jewish ceremony. She performed her solo music around the Village and eventually began touring the country. She has worked with numerous charities, Musicians on Call (where she sings bedside to hospital patients) and she is an ambassador for Music Unites. She also works with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and was an ambassador for Below the Line (a call to end world poverty).

Thanks to /u/JetBalsa for the Image Archive! On April Fools' Day 2017, a social experiment was launched in the form of a subreddit called "place". It featured a collaborative pixel art canvas, where a user could place a pixel every five minutes (the timer was temporarily ten and twenty minutes for a few hours on April 1). The timelapse used a Raspberry Pi and the Reddit API to get a BitMap. Many Images are from /u/JetBalsa. The Last few hours are captures by myself. PLACE, Reddit's thing that coincided with April Fools for 2017, was an interactive canvas that allowed for any site user to change a single pixel every 5 minutes (10 at one point, then back to 5 again). In the first release of This Place, we explore the Oregon Coast through a short film and series of interactive vignettes. We take to the road to get to the heart of the questions, “What makes the Oregon coast unique?” And “Why do so many people consider it not just special, but sacred?” From its local inhabitants to its visitors, the Oregon Coast means different things to different people. This Place is a portrait of the coast as seen through the eyes of a few who cherish it. http://thisplacejournal.com Made by Instrument. http://weareinstrument.com
Imprisoned inside its packaging and stuck on a toy shop shelf, a lonely radio-controlled toy truck uses its imagination to go on an adventure and find its happy place. This is a subtle regrade but also looks different as I have spent a lot of time fine tuning the shots within Premiere CC and Warp Stabilze (but used in the tiniest amount mostly using position which keeps some of the wobble and shakiness and loses that shifting warping perspective) I did lots of experimentation to make it still look like handheld and this is the 2nd version I have uploaded as the 1st one looked too "warpy!" It's also uploaded in ProRes Proxy, which actually was around same size file as my high bitrate H264. The H264 couldn't handle the fine detail but the prores proxy did and Vimeo's conversion holds that. I prefer it and am much happier now. “Locomotive”, the most recent addition to the mosaic screen installation in the foyer of Place des Arts, is a fantastical portrayal of a human machine. The context resembles an elaborate organic dominos game. It begins with a musical impulse and is accompanied by an inexorable advancement of light. Human flesh makes up a patchwork of glittering metallic members - which have the luster of new pistons and bolts - engendering a hybrid mass. Caught in awkward tension, the bodies quiver in suspension, the movement becoming increasingly intense until released by the passing impulse. The carefully synchronized three-dimensional chain reaction of image, sound and light dehumanizes the body while simultaneously makes us smile. Uncomfortable yet intrigued, the eye of the passer cannot turn aw...

Wizards Of Waverly Place The Movie 2009 Wizards Of Waverly Place The Movie 2009
Jessy is calling out from space
Says that she needs me
Cant replace
She comes over rips me open
Just to see my special place
Now she is calling out for light
Hoping the wings
Of freedom will arrive
She comes over
Touches down here
Right before my eyes
Kills forever knowing full well we
Will all get by
She comes over rips me open
Just to see my
Special little place
Sorry I gave back
Salt tasted
Lightly wasted
Here I give back
All of the words
And memories brought by
Time came by
Promises spoken by me
I didnt want
So much
To think about too much
To abide complain till it's over
Over and over again
Jessy is calling out from space
Hoping the sound of her voice
Will erase me
She comes over
Rips me open
Right before my eyes
Kills forever knowing full well we
Will all get by
She comes over rips me open
Just to see my
Special little place
So sorry that you changed
But nothing stays the same
