Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof-Cohen (13 March 1989 – 6 or 7 April 2014) was an English journalist, television presenter and model. She was the second daughter of musician and Live Aid founder Bob Geldof, and the television presenter Paula Yates.
Raised in London, Geldof was educated at Queen's College after her parents' divorce in 1996, and later moved to New York City where she worked as a writer for the UK edition of Elle Girl magazine. She also worked in television, producing and developing her own TV programmes which were broadcast in the United Kingdom in 2006. In the later part of her life, Geldof worked primarily in modelling and television, and gave birth to sons in 2012 and 2013.
Geldof was found dead at her home on 7 April 2014. The inquest found that the cause of her death was a heroin overdose.
Geldof was born in London on 13 March 1989, the second daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates and a granddaughter of Hughie Green. She had two sisters, Little Pixie Geldof, Fifi Trixibelle Geldof and one half-sister, Tiger Lily Hutchence.
The peach (Prunus persica) is a deciduous tree native to the region of Northwest China between the Tarim Basin and the north slopes of the Kunlun Shan mountains, where it was first domesticated and cultivated. It bears an edible juicy fruit called a peach or a nectarine.
The specific epithet persica refers to its widespread cultivation in Persia, whence it was transplanted to Europe. It belongs to the genus Prunus which includes the cherry, apricot, almond and plum, in the rose family. The peach is classified with the almond in the subgenus Amygdalus, distinguished from the other subgenera by the corrugated seed shell.
Peach and nectarines are the same species, even though they are regarded commercially as different fruits. In contrast to peaches, whose fruits present the characteristic fuzz on the skin, nectarines are characterized by the absence of fruit-skin trichomes (fuzz-less fruit); genetic studies suggest nectarines are produced due to a recessive allele, whereas peaches are produced from a dominant allele for fuzzy skin.
Robert Frederick Zenon "Bob" Geldof, KBE (born 5 October 1951) is an Irish singer, songwriter, author, occasional actor, and political activist. He rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Irish rock band The Boomtown Rats in the late 1970s and early 1980s alongside the punk rock movement. The band had hits with his compositions "Rat Trap" and "I Don't Like Mondays". He co-wrote "Do They Know It's Christmas?", one of the best-selling singles of all time, and starred in Pink Floyd's 1982 film Pink Floyd – The Wall as "Pink".
Geldof is widely recognised for his activism, especially anti-poverty efforts concerning Africa. In 1984 he and Midge Ure founded the charity supergroup Band Aid to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia. They went on to organise the charity super-concert Live Aid the following year and the Live 8 concerts in 2005. Geldof currently serves as an adviser to the ONE Campaign, founded by fellow Irishman Bono. A single father, Geldof has also been outspoken for the fathers' rights movement.
Daisy Rebecca Lowe (born 27 January 1989) is an English fashion model who has modeled for editorial photo shoots, commercial advertising campaigns and at fashion shows. She is the daughter of Pearl Lowe, the singer-songwriter turned textile and fashion designer, and Gavin Rossdale, lead singer for Bush.
Lowe was born in Westminster, London, England. She grew up in Primrose Hill, north London, and stayed with grandparents to continue her education at South Hampstead High School when her mother, Pearl Lowe, moved to Hampshire. Lowe has two younger half-brothers and a half-sister from her mother's marriage to Danny Goffey; Alfie, Frankie and Betty. She also has three younger half-brothers from her father's marriage to Gwen Stefani; Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
Until 2004, Lowe was believed to be the daughter of Pearl Lowe's ex-lover Bronner Handwerger, but a paternity test revealed that her godfather, Bush singer/guitarist Gavin Rossdale, was, in fact, her biological father. Her mother Pearl Lowe wrote about the situation in her book, All That Glitters. Daisy's paternity was not questioned early on, and Pearl listed "Bronner Lowe" on Daisy's birth certificate without informing Lowe that he may not be the father. At age 14, Daisy found out neither Bronner nor her mother shared her O-type blood. She mistakenly thought that one parent must share her blood type and that Bronner could not be her father (based on a common misunderstanding of blood type inheritance). Daisy confronted her mother, who admitted to a one-night stand with Rossdale. Daisy and Pearl's lawyers arranged a paternity test, which Rossdale at first refused. Results confirmed Rossdale was her biological father.

NEW. In tribute to the sad sudden death of Peaches Geldof, clips from a Sky One documentary aired in 2005 where she went on a journalistic investigation to discover teenage lifestyles and the reception they get from others. 10 minutes in is particularly poignant. Captured in 2005. I have a lot of other recorded Sky TV material (mainly documentaries) but I know it tends to get removed so I'm hoping this may be an exception. This is all just too sad when you think about those two little boys who lost their mother. Peaches Geldof was found dead at her home yesterday, and while her death remains a complete mystery, her priorities during her life are clear. The British socialite took part in a recent interview with Mother & Baby magazine, and in it she revealed so much about her family life with her kiddies Phaedra and Astala. Geldof said "Becoming a mother was like becoming me, finally. After years of struggling to know myself, feeling lost at sea, rudderless and troubled, having babies through which to correct the multiple mistakes of my own traumatic childhood was beyond healing."

You'll know Bob Geldof as the rockstar behind LIVE AID and, perhaps, as one third of that tragic and very public love triangle involving him, his wife Paula Yates, and INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.
Peaches Geldof's last interview is haunting to say the least. Less than one month before she was found dead inside her U.K. home today, the late 25-year-old socialite opened up about parenting and her two infant sons Astala and Phaedra. "Becoming a mother was like becoming me, finally," Geldof told Mother & Baby magazine "After years of struggling to know myself, feeling lost at sea, rudderless and troubled, having babies through which to correct the multiple mistakes of my own traumatic childhood was beyond healing. I felt finally anchored in place, with lives that literally depend on me, and I am not about to let them down, not for anyone or anything." http://www.eonline.com/news/529339/peaches-geldof-s-last-interview-25-year-old-vowed-to-never-let-her-two-sons-down-before-death?cmpid...
