Narrative

A narrative or story is any report of connected events, actual or imaginary, presented in a sequence of written or spoken words, or still or moving images.

Narrative can be organized in a number of thematic and/or formal categories: non-fiction (e.g., definitively including creative non-fiction, biography, journalism, transcript poetry, and historiography); fictionalization of historical events (e.g., anecdote, myth, legend, and historical fiction); and fiction proper (e.g., literature in prose and sometimes poetry, such as short stories, novels, and narrative poems and songs, as well as imaginary narratives as portrayed in other textual forms, games, or live or recorded performances). Narrative is found in all forms of human creativity, art, and entertainment, including speech, literature, theatre, music and song, comics, journalism, film, television and video, radio, gameplay, unstructured recreation, and performance in general, as well as some painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, and other visual arts (though several modern art movements refuse the narrative in favor of the abstract and conceptual), as long as a sequence of events is presented. The word derives from the Latin verb narrare, "to tell", which is derived from the adjective gnarus, "knowing" or "skilled".

Christian Jensen

Christian Jensen (14 April 1823 - 3 September 1884) was a Norwegian politician.

He served as County Governor of Kristians Amt (Oppland) from 1859 to 1869. While stationed here, he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1862, 1865 and 1868. After a hiatus he was a deputy representative during the term 1874–1877, and re-elected for a final term in 1877. He was then burgomaster in Kristiania.

He was then brought in as a part of the executive branch of government. He was appointed Minister of Auditing on 13 October 1879. On 1 December 1880 he was also appointed Minister of Justice and the Police. On 21 December he left as Minister of Auditing. He was then a member of the Council of State Division in Stockholm from September 1881 to 31 August 1882. The day after that he was appointed Minister of the Interior. Exactly one year after that he left this position to become Minister of Justice and the Police for a second time. He finally left government on 25 March 1884.

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (born October 26, 1947) is an American politician and former United States Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009. She is the wife of the 42nd President of the United States William "Bill" Jefferson Clinton, and was First Lady of the United States during his tenure from 1993 to 2001. She served under current President Barack Obama as the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. She is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 presidential election.

A native of the Chicago area, Hillary Rodham graduated from Wellesley College in 1969, where she became the first student commencement speaker. She went on to earn her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1973. After a stint as a congressional legal counsel, she moved to Arkansas, marrying Bill Clinton in 1975. She co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families in 1977, became the first female chair of the Legal Services Corporation in 1978, and was named the first female partner at Rose Law Firm in 1979. While First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981, and 1983 to 1992, she led a task force that reformed Arkansas' public school system, and served on the board of directors of Wal-Mart among other corporations.

James O'Keefe

James Edward O'Keefe III (born June 28, 1984) is an American conservative activist. He has produced secretly recorded undercover audio and video encounters, some selectively edited, with figures and workers in academic, governmental and social service organizations, purportedly showing abusive or alleged illegal behavior by representatives of those organizations. He gained national attention for his release of video recordings of workers at ACORN offices in 2009, his arrest in early 2010 at the office of then-U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) in a failed attempt to record staff conversations, and the release of videos of conversations with two high-ranking, now former, NPR executives in 2011.

Due to his videos of ACORN workers allegedly aiding a couple in criminal planning, the US Congress voted to freeze funds for the non-profit. The national scandal resulted in the non-profit also losing most private funding before investigations were completed. In March 2010, ACORN was close to bankruptcy and had to close most of its offices. Shortly after, the California State Attorney General's Office and the US Government Accountability Office released their related investigative reports. The Attorney General's Office found that O'Keefe had misrepresented the actions of ACORN workers and that the workers had not committed illegal actions. A preliminary probe by the GAO found that ACORN had managed its federal funds appropriately.
