New Year's Eve - 1996 - One of my songs - "99 Pounds" digitized from my dad's home movies. P.W. Fenton & The Second Ward playing at the Oak Barrel Tavern, which no longer exists, in 1996. Brad Trumbull on keyboards, Bill Pike on Guitar, Jonathan Priest on Drums, Andy Irvine on Bass, and P-Dub flapping his jaws, and abusing a guitar. We were a great band. However, this was New Years Eve so we were already a couple of sheets towards midnight. I think I was supposed to solo after Brad's organ break, but since I'm daydreaming somewhere, Brad fills another verse with Clavinet. Also, we normally started out with just Andy soloing on bass until he gave us the nod. This time, the song sort of starts right when he is getting into it, and you can see he just shakes his head.

A slightly better quality clip than the one that has been up here for a while. From 1996, this is P.W. Fenton & The Second Ward. This recording starts well into the song. I wish my Dad had followed me for the whole solo (I think he was eating dinner) because I went behind the bar and drank a half pint while playing, and then went out into the street and hustled pedestrians. Bill Pike - Guitar, Brad Trumbull - Keyboards, Jon Priest - Drums, and Andy Irvine - Bass.
