Danilo Gallinari (Italian pronunciation: [daˈniːlo ɡalliˈnaːri]; born August 8, 1988) is an Italian professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) in height and 225 lbs. in weight, and mainly plays at the small forward position. His nickname is Gallo, which is Italian for "rooster".
Danilo starting playing professionally in 2004 for Casalpusterlengo, a team in Serie B1 (third level in Italy).
In 2005, Gallinari was acquired by Armani Jeans Milano, which then sent him to Edimes Pavia, a team competing in the Italian league second division championship during the 2005–2006 season, so that he could earn more experience with extended playing minutes. Even though he played only half of the season due to an injury, in 2006 he was nominated as the best Italian player of the Italian league second division championship, averaging 14.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 0.8 assists in 17 games.
Gallinari is an Italian surname. Notable people with the surname include:
Danilo (Cyrillic script: Данило) is a male given name of biblical origin, meaning "God is my judge" in Hebrew. It's a very common given name in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Montenegrin and Serbian, and to some extent used in Ukrainian and Russian.

Aaron Jamal Crawford (born March 20, 1980) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Crawford played his high school basketball for Rainier Beach High School, a basketball powerhouse in Seattle, before committing to play for the University of Michigan. Crawford was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers but was traded on draft day to the Chicago Bulls. In his career, he has also played for the New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers. He won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in both 2010 and 2014, becoming just the fourth player in NBA history to win the award twice. He currently holds the record for most career four-point plays made with 46.
Crawford attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, where his number (23) is retired. At Rainier Beach, Crawford was a standout player who led the Rainier Beach Vikings to victory in the 1998 WIAA State Championship. Rainier Beach High School is also where fellow NBA and NCAA basketball players Doug Christie, Nate Robinson, Terrence Williams, and C.J. Giles attended. After high school, Crawford attended the University of Michigan, where he was given a six-game suspension by the NCAA for violating rules on amateurism and extra benefits received by Seattle businessman Barry Henthorn. Crawford served his suspension and ended up averaging 16.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals as a starter for the Wolverines. He then declared eligible for the 2000 NBA draft.
In professional sports, free agent is a player who is eligible to sign with any club or franchise, i.e. not under contract to any specific team. The term is also used in reference to a player who is under contract at present, but who is allowed to solicit offers from other teams. In some circumstances, the free agent's options are limited by league rules.
Unrestricted free agents are players without a team. They have either been released from their club, had the term of their contract expire without a renewal, or were not chosen in a league's draft of amateur players. These people, generally speaking, are free to entertain offers from all other teams and to decide with whom to sign a contract.
The specific rules of restricted free agency vary among the major professional sports, but in principle it means that a player is free to solicit contract offers from other teams; however, this player cannot sign with the competing club if the current club matches (or in some leagues come within 10%) the terms of the offered contract. For a restricted free agent, some leagues require the competing team to offer up to the original team a draft pick(s) when an offer is not matched, as compensation for losing the player.

When Danilo Gallinari has a good scoring game, you can be sure of one thing: he shot a lot of free throws to get there. He's has 10 games of 20 points or more, and all but one featured 8 or more foul shots. Most featured 10+. He's made more free throws this season than field goals, which puts him in elite foul-drawing territory with the likes of James Harden, Jimmy Butler, Andrew Harrison, and not really anyone else of note. So if you've been wondering where the Gallo highlights have been this year, there's your reason. He doesn't usually make that many shots, which are the meat of any good highlights package. Instead, he draws dubious shooting fouls, not as blatantly as Harden, but still pretty bad. Bad? I meant good. It's good for winning basketball, bad for dudes who just wanna see buc...

The Scepter of Blame glows red once again. It desires to apportion blame according to who was most at fault for the Nuggets playoff-hopes-crushing loss to the Russell Westbrooks! It is placed in the center of the dimly-lit room, surrounded by various Nuggets-related people and things. Let the ritual begin! First, in spins itself in the direction of Danilo Gallinari and glows an accusatory crimson. Danilo, knowing that he cost his team the game by not scoring any points in the 4th after 22 in the 3rd, grimaces at the shame he feels. The glaring eyes of all in the room are on him, amazed at the scepter's swift judgment. Suddenly, the scepter changes its orientation, now pointing at Nikola Jokic. Jokic's costly fouls, both flagrant and technical, gave Westbrook the motivation needed to win ...

"Hey man, great game tonight, too bad about the loss, huh?" Wilson Chandler wandered over to Danilo Gallinari's locker. Danilo looked up, startled, as he hurriedly packed up his stuff. "What? Oh, yeah. I was really feeling it, and the guys kept finding me. I Liked the way they played tonight, lots of hustle, it was a team effort, not just me. Both teams played hard." he replied, distractedly. Wilson looked amused. "You realize, dude, that I'm not a reporter? It's Wilson, just wanting to congratulate his temmate on his new career high. And wondering if you wanted to join me and the guys for a night of partying. Booze and chicks will be involved, man, it's gonna be bananas for real." "What?" Danilo asked again. "No, sorry, can't join. I have, er, pressing matter tonight to be dealing with...

She died during a thunderstorm, on the darkest morning in
years, and I was ruined and undone and left raining like
a leaf.
It was fourteen degrees below on a screeching March 23.
Don't look me in the eyes now, there ain't nothing in
there to see.
Jet black, slick and wide and glued to the walls.
Last night the whole of hell came down to bathe and dine
with us and I met the strangest woman with skin that
smelled like rust.
She said "I've been in a crowd of thousands and each one
had eyes like you.
Yes, I've been in front of millions and they all had eyes
like you.
