Tamela J. Mann (born June 9, 1966) is an American gospel singer, and actress, known for her roles as Cora and Myrtle in Tyler Perry's plays, including I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Madea's Family Reunion, Madea's Class Reunion, Meet the Browns, and What's Done in the Dark. Mann began her career as a singer with the gospel group Kirk Franklin and the Family. She was a featured soloist on several tracks while with Franklin's group, including "Don't Take Your Joy Away", "Now Behold the Lamb", and "Lean on Me", the latter of which also included Mary J. Blige, Crystal Lewis, R. Kelly, and Bono. She released her own album, The Master Plan, in 2009.
Mann has appeared in movies including Kingdom Come and Diary of a Mad Black Woman. She recorded some songs on the soundtrack for Diary of a Mad Black Woman, including participating in the song "Father (Can You Hear Me)".
Mann is the wife of David Mann, who is known for his role as Deacon Leroy Brown in several of Tyler Perry's plays.
This Place is a global art project that explores the complexity of Israel and the West Bank through the eyes of twelve internationally acclaimed photographers. The participating artists are Frederic Brenner, Wendy Ewald, Martin Kollar, Josef Koudelka, Jungjin Lee, Gilles Peress, Fazal Sheikh, Stephen Shore, Rosalind Solomon, Thomas Struth, Jeff Wall, and Nick Waplington. Each photographer created highly individualized works in response to his or her own experience in the area; the result is over 500 images which will be exhibited internationally and published in a series of monographs.
Initiated by Frederic Brenner, the project follows in the tradition of historic endeavors such as the Missions Héliographiques in nineteenth-century France and the Farm Security Administration in the United States, which gathered artists who use photography to ask essential questions about culture, society and the inner lives of individuals. Each artist spent approximately six months in residence, traveling throughout Israel and the West Bank, following his or her own line of investigation. Brenner offered the photographers initial exploratory visits, so they could decide if, and how, that wanted to be involved with the project. According to TIME: "This Place is not an act of photojournalism, nor does it contain — or send – a clear, unified message."

An interesting drama made in 1959, "Beyond this place" (aka. Web of evidence) starred Van Johnson, who returning home from the war discovers that his father, whom he thought dead, is actually in prison serving a life sentence for the murder of a girl. Detremined to prove his father's innocence, he is helped by a local newspaper editor who supports the case. The American stars are somewhat miscast in this fairly predictable film, but there is some interesting location footage of Liverpool in the 1950s, and direction is in the capable hands of Jack Cardiff. This film was shown on C4 about 1990, but since then seems to have been largely unseen, with no VHS or dvd release. If a dvd release is announced, or if the copyright holder objects, I will remove the film immediately. An excellent supp...

In this place I am happy,
I'm happy because you're there.
You and all the stars,
The beautiful and rare
In this place I don't wonder,
Don't wonder because I know,
I realise that we're not moving,
What moves is where we go.
This place
Isn't real
All it is
Is how feel
IN this place you are someone,
Someone who reminds you of me,
This place can't change who you are,
