Seattle Sounders FC is an American professional soccer club based in Seattle, Washington. The Sounders compete in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was established on November 13, 2007, as an MLS expansion team, making it the 15th team in the league and the third Seattle soccer club to share the name.
The club's majority owner is Adrian Hanauer, and its minority owners are Joe Roth, Paul Allen and Drew Carey. Two-time MLS Cup winner Sigi Schmid is the club's head coach. The Sounders play their home matches at CenturyLink Field. Along with several organized groups, a 53-member marching band called 'Sound Wave' supports the club at each home match. Seattle competes with rival MLS clubs Portland and Vancouver in the Cascadia Cup.
The Sounders played its inaugural match on March 19, 2009, winning 3–0 over the New York Red Bulls. Seattle has set MLS records for average attendance, led the league in season ticket sales, and qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs in each of its first seven seasons. The Sounders have led MLS attendance since their inaugural season, consistently drawing an average of 50-65% more than the next highest-drawing team in the league, LA Galaxy. The club's announced attendance average was 43,144 in 2012. The team's players have included United States men's national soccer team captain Clint Dempsey, Obafemi Martins, Academy product and current Sunderland player DeAndre Yedlin, striker Fredy Montero, and Osvaldo Alonso.

Seattle (i/siˈætəl/) is a West Coast seaport city and the seat of King County. With an estimated 662,400 residents as of 2015, Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. The Seattle area was previously inhabited by Native Americans for at least 4,000 years before the first permanent European settlers.Arthur A. Denny and his group of travelers, subsequently known as the Denny Party, arrived from Illinois via Portland, Oregon on the schooner Exact at Alki Point on November 13, 1851. The settlement was moved to the eastern shore of Elliott Bay and named "Seattle" in 1852, after Chief Si'ahl of the local Duwamish and Suquamish tribes.
Todd Bratrud is an illustrator and artist born in 1975 in Crookston, Minnesota, on the same day as the wreck of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald. He is the owner of Send Help skateboards, previously known as The High Five skateboards. He is currently living in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota until he moved to Santa Cruz, California in 1999 to become the art director of Consolidated Skateboards. He has created hundreds of graphics for skateboards, stickers, advertisements and apparel for companies like Consolidated Skateboards, Flip Skateboards,Birdhouse Skateboards, Enjoi Skateboards,Black Label Skateboards, Creature Skateboards, Real Skateboards and Volcom. He is also an illustrator and blogger for The Skateboard Mag. Examples of his skateboard graphics can be found in the book Disposable, published by Ginkgo Press.
In 2006, Nike Skateboarding released the "Send Help" version of the Nike Dunk shoe with artwork designed by Bratrud.
In spring 2008, Todd was a featured artist for Volcom. Volcom released a series of t-shirts, sweatshirts, socks, bikinis, hats, and iPod cases based on the 'Lizard Print' motif designed by Bratrud. Volcom also sponsored a series of international art openings to showcase this product line and promote a series of limited edition screenprints.
Toronto FC (TFC) is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Toronto, Ontario that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), in the Eastern Conference of the league. The team plays their home matches at their soccer-specific BMO Field, located in Exhibition Place along the western part of the Toronto lake shore.
Toronto FC was MLS's fourteenth, and first Canadian, franchise in the league. The team is coached by Greg Vanney and operated by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, which also operates the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs, the AHL's Toronto Marlies, the NBA's Toronto Raptors (and the NBA Development League's Raptors 905 by extension) and the USL's Toronto FC II.
Toronto FC are four-time Canadian Champions, and its most significant achievement to date is reaching the semifinals of the 2011–12 CONCACAF Champions League.
Toronto was awarded an expansion team in 2005, with team owner Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (MLSE) paying $10 million for the team. The name of the club was officially announced on May 11, 2006. The "FC" in the team's name is the conventional initialism for Football Club.
