Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean (born January 19, 1946) is an American singer-songwriter, actress, author, businesswoman, and humanitarian, known primarily for her work in country music. Her career began as a child performer on the Cas Walker radio show, then recording a few singles from the age of 13. Relocating to Nashville at age 18 in 1964, her first commercial successes were as a songwriter (her songs during this period were covered by numerous artists, including Bill Phillips and Kitty Wells). She rose to prominence in 1967 as a featured performer on singer Porter Wagoner's weekly syndicated TV program; their first duet single, a cover of Tom Paxton's "The Last Thing on My Mind", was a top-ten hit on the country singles chart and led to several successful albums before they ended their partnership in 1974. Moving towards mainstream pop music, her 1977 single "Here You Come Again" was a success on both the country and pop charts. A string of pop-country hits followed into the mid-1980s, the most successful being her 1980 hit "9 to 5" (from the film of the same name) and her 1983 duet with Kenny Rogers "Islands in the Stream", both of which topped the U.S. pop and country singles charts. A pair of albums recorded with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris were among her later successes. In the late 1990s, she returned to classic country/bluegrass with a series of acclaimed recordings. Non-musical ventures include Dollywood, a theme park in Pigeon Forge in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, and her efforts on behalf of childhood literacy, particularly her Imagination Library, as well as Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede and Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show.
Dover is a borough in York County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,007 at the 2010 census.
James Joner purchased 203 acres (0.82 km2) in 1764 and laid out the town of Dover. It was known as Jonerstown until 1815, when it was officially called Dover.
During the 1863 Gettysburg Campaign of the American Civil War, Dover was briefly occupied overnight, June 30 – July 1, by Confederate cavalry under J.E.B. Stuart.
Dover was incorporated in 1864, 100 years after its founding.
The Englehart Melchinger House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
Dover is located in York County at 40°0′14″N 76°50′58″W / 40.00389°N 76.84944°W / 40.00389; -76.84944 (40.003846, -76.849397),5 miles (8 km) northwest of the county seat of York. The borough is entirely surrounded by Dover Township.

Dover was a short 1943 film produced by the British Ministry of Information. It concerns the town of Dover, the most likely "frontline" in any potential German invasion and how it had persevered since 1940.
The film, which stars Edward R. Murrow, opens with a look back at the circumstances of mid-1940, how the British had arrived there after Dunkirk, the continuous air raids during the battle of Britain, and the stoicism of the people as they prepared to "die with their boots on" when the invasion came. Now, two years later, Dover is still the front line, but not for defence, for offence. RAF planes control the skies and more Allied sorties are flown over German targets than German raids on Britain. The people have stoically and bravely gone on with their normal lives, while helping the war effort; most of the men are in the forces, while the women man the anti-aircraft guns. The film ends with the narrator promising that someday soon, barges will leave Britain's shore to liberate Europe.

Run that by me one more time to make sure that I heard you right
I hope you don't expect me to believe that line
I might be crazy but I ain't dumb and I know a lie when I hear one
Would you run that by me one more time
Well you're late again I see what's your excuse this time
Don't try to kiss and make up when you smell so strong from wine
Well I'm not late the clock is wrong you need to wind Big Ben
Honey that's not wine you smell that's aftershave for men
Would you run that by me one more time
Run that by me one more time...
[ steel ]
What happened to the money I gave you to pay the rent
The rent is overdue and we ain't got one red cent
Well I put it in the cookie jar that day you brought it home
One day when I come back from town
I'll be dogged if that money wasn't gone
Ha ha would you run that by me one more time
Run that by me one more time...
You keep drinkin' that aftershave it's gonna kill you if I'm lucky
You spent that money didn't you
I didn't spend it I oughta box your jaws
Oh you'd hit your mom before you hit me
Would you run that by me one more time run that by me one more time
I don't want to run that by you one more time
