Cosmic Gate are a German trance duo made up of Claus Terhoeven and Stefan Bossems. Both hail from Krefeld, Germany. On October 28, 2009, DJ Magazine announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records artist Cosmic Gate placed #19, 43 spots above the group's ranking the year before. For the 2010 DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll, Cosmic Gate moved to #24.
Formed in 1999, Cosmic Gate's first single was "The Drums", followed by "Exploration Of Space", "Mental Atmosphere" and their "Somewhere over the Rainbow" remix using samples from the film The Wizard of Oz. However, Cosmic Gate did not become well known until their single "Fire Wire" was released in the UK in 2001.
Cosmic Gate have made many remixes for artists such as Tiësto (Urban Train), Ferry Corsten (Punk), Blank & Jones (DFF), Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (Somewhere Over the Rainbow), Svenson & Gielen (Answer the Question) and Vanessa-Mae (White Bird).
Over the past few years, Cosmic Gate's sound has developed and moved away from the harder edge trance through to their current, more subtle yet still driving energetic music style. Since their third studio album, Earth Mover, they started moving towards the Progressive Trance style.
Matthias Paul (pronounced [maˈtiːas ˈpaʊ̯l]), better known by his stage name Paul van Dyk (pronounced [fan ˈdʏk]; born 16 December 1971 in Eisenhüttenstadt, East Germany) is a German Grammy Award-winning electronic dance music DJ, musician and record producer. One of the first true superstar DJs, Paul van Dyk was the first artist to receive a Grammy nomination in the newly added category of Best Dance/Electronic album for his 2003 release Reflections. He was named the World's No. 1 DJ in both 2005 and 2006, something only few DJs have ever achieved. He was the first ever DJ to be named No. 1 by Mixmag in 2005. By 2008, he had sold over 3 million albums worldwide.
A trance producer starting in the early 1990s, Paul quickly achieved popularity with his remix of "Love Stimulation" by Humate on the record label MFS in 1993 and with his hit single "For an Angel" but, in recent times, he no longer likes to describe his music as trance, but rather simply as electronic music.
Paul van Dyk is currently the radio host of "Vonyc Sessions with Paul" on Dash Radio.
Godley & Creme were an English rock duo composed of Kevin Godley and Lol Creme. The pair began releasing albums as a duo after splitting from the pop band 10cc. In 1979 they directed their first music video for their own single "An Englishman in New York". After this, they became involved in directing videos for such artists as Ultravox, The Police, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Wang Chung, as well as directing the ground-breaking video for their own "Cry" in 1985. The duo split at the end of the 1980s and have both been involved in music videos, TV commercials, and sporadic music projects since.
Kevin Godley and Lol Creme met in the late 1950s and for a brief time were in a band together. Through the 1960s they played in different bands, with Godley briefly in The Mockingbirds with Graham Gouldman, who would later work with Godley and Creme in 10cc.
After recording a one-off single under the name of "Yellow Bellow Room Boom" for UK CBS in 1967 ("Seeing Things Green" b/w "Still Life"), the pair began their professional music career together in 1969, performing pop music in Strawberry Studios at Stockport near Manchester with Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman (often mistakenly referred to as being "Bubblegum Music", perhaps because they were contracted by Kasenetz & Katz, who produced bubblegum sub-teen pop in the US on the Buddah label). Their first chart success was as members of the short-lived Hotlegs, which evolved into 10cc in 1972. 10cc enjoyed chart success, most notably with their 1975 single "I'm Not in Love", a hit on both sides of the Atlantic.

http://amzn.to/2cC4d7V - Here you can get Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ Compact System for the best price. When my immersion blender stopped working recently I had a hard time figuring out whether I should replace it with something similar or get a "real" blender, which I haven't had in years. I went on a week-long blender review bender, visited a couple of stores, and ended up getting both this and a Vitamix S30 and having my own blender showdown. At the end of the day, the Vitamix didn't work as well for what I needed, but here are the pros and cons of each if it helps someone else in the same situation. Also, I found it super helpful to go see a few different models in person to get a sense of the size and how they feel. Things I blended: smoothies, salad dressing, crushed ice/snow, tofu puddi...
Cry" is the title of a song released by the British musicians Godley & Creme in 1985. It was included on the duo's album The History Mix Volume 1. The song peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming Godley & Creme's lone Top 40 hit in the US apart from their former band, 10cc. It also reached #12 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo also directed the song's music video, which featured faces blended into each other using analog cross-fading, anticipating the digital effect of morphing used in a very similar way in Michael Jackson's 1991 video, "Black or White". LYRICS: You don't know how to ease my pain you don't know You don't know how to ease my pain. You don't know what the sound is darling It's the sound of my tears falling or is it the rain? You don't know. You don't know ho...
