Qazvin (/kæzˈviːn/; Persian: قزوین, IPA: [ɢæzˈviːn], also Romanized as Qazvīn, Caspin, Qazwin, or Ghazvin) is the largest city and capital of the Province of Qazvin in Iran. Qazvin was an ancient capital in the Persian Empire and nowadays is known as the calligraphy capital of Iran. It is famous for its Baghlava, carpet patterns, poets, political newspaper and pahlavi (Middle Persian) influence on its accent. At the 2011 census, its population was 381,598.
Located in 150 km (93 mi) northwest of Tehran, in the Qazvin Province, it is at an altitude of about 1,800 m (5,900 ft) above sea level. The climate is cold but dry, due to its position south of the rugged Alborz range called KTS Atabakiya.
The city was a former capital of the Persian Empire under Safavids. It is a provincial capital today that has been an important cultural center throughout history.
Archeological findings in the Qazvin plain reveal urban agricultural settlements for at least nine millennia. Qazvin geographically connects Tehran, Isfahan, and the Persian Gulf to the Caspian seacoast and Asia Minor, hence its strategic location throughout the ages.

In old day Persia, Qazvin was along the Silk Road. In Modern day Iran, Qazvin is our main north-south transit corridor. And that is one of the reasons Qazvin is an industrial hub for Iran’s medium-scale industries. License Video: dissolve.com/products?media_type=video&producer;=Pete+R&sort;_by_date=true I thought I knew what a good hospitality is like.. until I came to Iran. "Why go to Iran?" This is a question people often asked when I tell them I was going there. I would have ask the same if it wasn't the words of mouth I heard over the years about how awesome Iran is, how incredibly friendly the people are, and how off the beaten path the whole country is. The first day I arrived in Tehran, I was walking around the Bazaar and we were approached by several locals asking what we think about Iran, gave us free tea and cakes, and allowed us to roam their warehouses without asking for anything in return. This similar scenario happened a lot more throughout my 2 weeks time in Iran and really got me th...

Travel video about destination Iran. Iran, formerly known as Persia, is a land of magical splendour, ancient architecture and Oriental hospitality. Tehran has been the capital of the Persian Empire since 1795. Founded by Mohammed Aga Khan it is a vibrant place that ranks among the most densely populated cities on Earth. Its biggest transformation in its recent history was due to religious leader, Ayatollah Khomeyni, who in 1979 established the Iranian Republic, a theocracy within the teachings of the Koran. The Saad-Abad Palace complex was the first summer residence of the Qadjarian kings. Following several extensions, from the 1920’s eighteen palaces were used by Reza Shah Pahlevi and his family. The city of Kashan prospered under the Safavid, Shah Abbas The First, who designed the Bagh...
Sa’d al-Saltaneh is Iran`s biggest urban caravanserai built during Qajar dynasty. The place is 135 years old and was built by Baqer Sa’d al-Saltaneh with the aim of boosting the city’s trade foundation. This complex enjoys three architectural typologies including passages with small rooms to accommodate caravans, spaces called “Shabestan” for the entrance of livestock and places like water reservoirs and baths which rendered services to the guests at Sa’d al-Saltaneh.
There are many monuments in the city of Qazvin that belong to the old days. The Aliqapoo mansion is one of the ancient buildings that was once regarded as the royal palace of the Safavid kings. The name Aliqapoo refers to the palaces of the Safavid Kings. They used to establish palaces with the same name in different cities that were regarded as the capital cities of the country. The Aliqapoo complex was built upon the order of Shah Tahmasb Safavi, one of the kings of the era. And later on, during the reign of Shah Abbas the first, the complex was renovated into its current structure.
If you're feeling down depressed and lonely,
I know a place where we can go.
22 Acacia Avenue, meet a lady we all know.
So if you're looking for a good time,
And you're prepared to pay the price.
Fifteen quid is all she asks for,
Everybody's got their vice.
If you're waiting for a long time,
for the rest to do their piece.
You can tell her that you know me,
and you might even get it free.
So any time you're down the East End,
don't you hesitate to go,
You can take my honest word for it,
she'll teach you more than you can know.
Charlotte isn't it time you stopped all this mad life.
Don't you ever think about the bad times.
Why do you have to live this way.
Do you enjoy the lay or is it the pay.
Sometimes when you're strolling down the avenue,
The way you walk, it makes men think
of having you.
When you're walking down the street,
Everybody stops and turns to stare, at you.
22, the avenue, that's the place where we all go.
You will find it's warm inside,
the red light's burning bright tonight.
Beat her, mistreat her, do anything that you please.
Bite her, excite her, make her get down
on her knees.
Abuse her, misuse her, she can take all
that you've got.
Caress her, molest her, she always does what you want.
You're running away, don't you know
what you're doing.
Can't you see it'll lead you to ruin.
Charlotte you've taken your life
and you've thrown it away.
You believe that because what you're earning,
Your life's good, don't you know that you're hurting,
All the people that love you, don't cast them aside.
All the men that are constantly drooling,
It's no life for you, stop all that screwing.
You're packing your bags and you're
