The Sea of Marmara /ˈmɑːrmərə/ (Turkish: Marmara Denizi, Greek: Θάλασσα του Μαρμαρά), also known as the Sea of Marmora or the Marmara Sea, and in the context of classical antiquity as the Propontis (Greek: Προποντίς), is the inland sea, entirely within the borders of Turkey, that connects the Black Sea to the Aegean Sea, thus separating Turkey's Asian and European parts. The Bosphorus strait connects it to the Black Sea and the Dardanelles strait to the Aegean. The former also separates Istanbul into its Asian and European sides. The sea has an area of 11,350 km² (280 km x 80 km) with the greatest depth reaching 1,370 m (4,490 ft).
The sea takes its name from the island of Marmara, which is rich in sources of marble, from the Greek μάρμαρον (marmaron), "marble".
The sea's ancient Greek name Propontis derives from pro- (before) and pontos (sea), deriving from the fact that the Greeks sailed through it to reach the Black Sea, Pontos. In Greek mythology, a storm on Propontis brought the Argonauts back to an island they had left, precipitating a battle where either Jason or Heracles killed King Cyzicus, who mistook them for his Pelasgian enemies.
The Sea may refer to:
The Black Sea is a sea between Southeastern Europe and Western Asia. It is bounded by Europe, Anatolia and the Caucasus, and drains through the Mediterranean into the Atlantic Ocean, via the Aegean Sea and various straits. The Bosphorus Strait connects it to the Sea of Marmara, and the Strait of the Dardanelles connects that sea to the Aegean Sea region of the Mediterranean. These waters separate eastern Europe and western Asia. The Black Sea is also connected to the Sea of Azov by the Strait of Kerch.
The Black Sea has an area of 436,400 km2 (168,500 sq mi) (not including the Sea of Azov), a maximum depth of 2,212 m (7,257 ft), and a volume of 547,000 km3 (131,000 cu mi). The Black Sea forms in an east-west trending elliptical depression which lies between Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine. It is constrained by the Pontic Mountains to the south and by the Caucasus Mountains to the east, and features a wide shelf to the northwest. The longest east-west extent is about 1,175 km (730 mi).

Bosphorus comes from a Tracian word of unknown origin, interpreted in Greek as meaning “Ford of the Cow”, from the legend of Io, one of the many lovers of Zeus, who swam across the sea here as a cow chased and continuously disturbed by flies sent by Hera. Known in Turkish as Bogazici (the Strait), it links the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara and, with theDardanelles (in Canakkale), separates Europ...

The Bosphorus (/ˈbɒsfərəs/ or /ˈbɒspərəs/) or Bosporus (/ˈbɒspərəs/; Ancient Greek: Βόσπορος, Bósporos; Turkish: Boğaziçi, pronounced [boːaziˈt͡ʃi]) is a narrow, natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in northwestern Turkey. It forms part of the continental boundary between Europe and Asia, and separates Asian Turkey from European Turkey. The world's narrowest strait used for international navigation, the Bosphorus connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, and, by extension via the Dardanelles, the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. Most of the shores of the strait are heavily settled, straddled by the city of Istanbul's metropolitan population of 17 million inhabitants extending inland from both coasts. Together with the Dardanelles, the Bosphorus forms the T...

After the victory of Mu'awiya in the civil war against the Shi'a, the naval expansion of the Caliphate turned into an existential war against the Roman Empire. Before the civil, the Caliphate's navy had already conquered several Greek islands, raided Sicily and defeated a large Bizantine fleet at Finike. Eventually, in 670, Caliph Mu'awiya launched an offensive against the Empire's capital. On that year, a large naval formation entered the Sea of Marmara. The struggle in front of Constantinople would go on for several years. In a couple of decades, the Caliphate had almost covered the technology gap with the Roman Empire on naval warfare, but for a recent invention, which was about to become the...
I'm such a drag wish that I could disappear
I just smoked myself right into this chair
I've had no revelations, got no future plans
So many expectations and no one understands
I'm a mess
I'm a mess
I'm a mess
I ruin everything, it's never enough
Got a tired alter-ego, that's always giving up
I used to be the girl that everybody loved
And now I'm just too much
I'm a mess
I'm a mess
I'm a mess
I'm a mess
And I'm crying all the time
How bad can it be?
I wish that I was dead, temporarily
I'm a mess
I'm bored with myself, I'm tired of this life
I'm falling apart, can't even take advice
I'm so gone, I need my prescription to relax
Now I'm wasted like the rest
I'm a mess
I'm a mess
I'm a mess
