Yes or YES may refer to:
"America" is an American political advertisement released by the 2016 presidential campaign of Bernie Sanders. It premiered on January 21, 2016 via YouTube, and to air on television in Iowa and New Hampshire shortly before the Democratic Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary.
The advertisement features "America," a song recorded by Simon & Garfunkel for their album Bookends (1968).
The ad starts with scenes of everyday American life over soft humming and gentle guitar strumming. As the line, "let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together" plays in the background, a middle-aged couple dances at a small Bernie Sanders for President rally. Then Sanders is seen speaking to a few people in a backyard. As the ad continues, the crowds grow larger and more enthusiastic. A montage of many Sanders supporters appear, as the words "They've all come to look for America" flash on the screen. Sanders is then seen addressing a large outdoor gathering, interacting one-on-one with supporters, appearing before more energetic crowds, finally ending in a large auditorium filled to capacity with cheering people.
Simon & Garfunkel was an American folk rock duo consisting of singer-songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel. They were one of the most popular recording artists of the 1960s and became counterculture icons of the decade's social revolution, alongside artists such as the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan. Their biggest hits—including "The Sound of Silence" (1964/1965), "Mrs. Robinson" (1968), "Bridge over Troubled Water" (1969), and "The Boxer" (1969)—reached number one on singles charts worldwide. Their often rocky relationship led to artistic disagreements, which resulted in their breakup in 1970. Their final studio record, Bridge over Troubled Water, was their most successful, becoming one of the world's best-selling albums. Since their split in 1970 they have reunited several times, most famously in 1981 for the "The Concert in Central Park", which attracted more than 500,000 people, the seventh-largest concert attendance in history.

If you like the YES cover of Simon & Garfunkel's 'America' as much as I do, you will find this a real gem. BE THERE in the studio while the band records & polishes the song. Witness Jon sing, and Chris, Bill, and a very young Steve & Rick handle their instruments. This is one of the very first recordings by YES in their famousest line-up, who would soon move on to record their greatest albums, "Fragile" and "Close to the Edge". I added a clean audio recording to this old video tape, and synchronized it somewhat. It is the images that allow us a glimpse in the studio, but it is the music that directly connects us to the heart & soul of Yes: a band of gifted and inventive musicians who loved to experiment and who could actually rock in the mean time.
Info: "America" is a song by American music duo Simon & Garfunkel from their fourth studio album, Bookends (1968). The song was rearranged by the progressive rock band Yes. This recording first appeared in 1972 on the sampler album The New Age of Atlantic and was later included on the compilation album Yesterdays in 1975, the box set In a Word: Yes (1969–) in 2002, and on the 2003 re-issue of their album Fragile. An edited version of this recording lasting 4 minutes was released as a single and hit #46 on the pop chart. It also appeared on the Yesyears boxed set and its condensed version Yesstory, along with The Ultimate Yes: 35th Anniversary Collection. The edited version was also included as a bonus track on the re-issue of Close to the Edge. A live version of the song was included on 19...

The Simon and Garfunkel classic done by Prog Rockers Yes. The new singer (Davidson) was better than I anticipated even though I'll always miss Jon being in the band. He did a well job though. An instant Yes classic though I'm still waiting for "On The Silent Wings Of Freedom." Someday I hope! A $5 show at Artpark. How could you go wrong? Video By K-Dawg. Subscribe for more cool videos!
Yes opened both their sets on the Cruise to the Edge with their version of Paul Simon's "America". This was from the first night. Sorry about the shaky video, but remember, we're on a moving boat here, and I'm just using a pocket camera!

AMERICA WILL BE SAVED!!!
Let us be lovers
We'll marry our fortunes together
I've got some real estate here in my bag
So we bought a pack of cigarettes
And Mrs. Wagner's Pies
And walked on, walked on, walked on
To look for America
'Kathy,' I said as we boarded a Greyhound to Pittsburg,
'Michigan seems like a dream to me now'
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw
All gone to look for America
All gone to look for America
Laughing on the bus
Playing games with the faces
She said the man in the Gabardine suit was a spy
I said, 'Be carefull his bow tie is really a camera.'
Kathy I'm lost I said
Although I knew she was sleeping
I'm empty and I'm aching
And I don't know why
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
They've all come to look for America
All come to look for America
