Learn more at Adwerx.com Transcript: Transcript: Stephanie Pfeffer Anton 0:10 Marketing for real estate has changed significantly. I mean, in only 15 years it's an entirely different conversation. We no longer see just a direct mail piece or an email or very traditional ways of communicating being effective, so now it has to be about the whole experience and really engaging the consumer rather than just having a one way conversation. Jeremy Lehman 0:29 Real estate marketing has changed dramatically. There's so many different ways to connect with consumers today. There's the traditional methods of print and phone calls and things that agents have always done, but obviously online marketing has changed the game and almost everybody goes online to look for something these days and real estate is no different. Nikki Beauchamp 0:46 I think that marketing is more accessible to sort of a smaller business or an individual agent than it was when I got into the business. You could put an ad in the New York Times on Sunday and it was $200 or something and today you can take that $200 and you can spend it on digital and there are all these options that didn't exist. Chris Scott 1:09 I would say one of the biggest things that has changed the industry is the fact that listing data is available on the internet. One of my observations is that people have not adopted their practices. They haven't made the change to, all right, now listing data is available on the internet, how should my practices change? Andrea Geller 1:26 The first listing appointment is no longer when you actually walk into somebody's house. It's what they're seeing for you online. They go online, maybe click on you, but then they click to see what's going on in their neighborhood and they see how other listings look and they're like, "That listing looks better than the agents that I've been using, what's appearing on her site and her listings or his site and his listings," and they go and they call that other agent and it has nothing to do with necessarily relationship, but has to do with, I'm going to sell my house and I need that house to look the best it can. Jeff Lobb 1:57 Today, I even see digital marketing changing and next year my whole focus is taking digital marketing to visual marketing and really we've become a more visual client and we need to do a better job visually selling our products. Brad Inman 2:10 You know, marketing is a definite part of real estate, but I think today it has to be authentic, genuine, believable. You know, we heard today from some young kids about inspirational quotes with pretty pictures. That is so history, and no one believes that stuff, so marketing has got to be high quality, authentic, real, or people don't buy it.
