Now here's something that tends to get lost in the mix of over-the-air memories -- the old Pax network! When people mention Pax nowadays, you usually think of the gaming convention of the same name. But to this day, I still can't seperate the name "Pax" from this channel. Back before MeTV and endless pits of cable channels popularized reruns of classic shows, this was the go-to network for reruns or general family entertainment. I also remember watching a lot of game shows on this channel too; in fact, I have a junkload of game shows on this same tape. Here it was mostly classic drama shows, but I also have Supermarket Sweep, the 2002 revival of Beat the Clock, and Louie Anderson Family Feud. This clip is the pick of the announcements from the final weekend of Granada's Regional continuity from Leeds. The first announcement from Neil Didsbury was recorded at 1.00am on the 26th, the rest come from the Sunday evening, with the final one broadcast at 12.20am. I hope you like what I've done at the end.
