Panorama

A panorama (formed from Greek πᾶν "all" + ὅραμα "sight"), is any wide-angle view or representation of a physical space, whether in painting, drawing, photography, film, seismic images or a three-dimensional model. The word was originally coined in the 18th century by the English (Irish descent) painter Robert Barker to describe his panoramic paintings of Edinburgh and London. The motion-picture term panning is derived from panorama.

A panoramic view is also proposed for multi-media, cross-scale applications to outline overview (from a distance) along and across repositories. This so-called "cognitive panorama" is a panoramic view over, and a combination of, cognitive spaces used to capture the larger scale.

Paintings

In the mid-19th century, panoramic paintings and models became a very popular way to represent landscapes and historical events. Audiences of Europe in this period were thrilled by the aspect of illusion, immersed in a winding 360 degree panorama and given the impression of standing in a new environment. The panorama was a 360-degree visual medium patented by the artist Robert Barker in 1787. He created a picture spectacle, shown on a cylindrical surface and viewed from the inside, giving viewers a vantage point encompassing the entire circle of the horizon, rendering the original scene with high fidelity. The inaugural exhibition, a "View of Edinburgh", was first shown in that city in 1788, then transported to London in 1789. By 1793, Barker had built "The Panorama" rotunda at the center of London's entertainment district in Leicester Square, where it remained until closed in 1863.

Sage The Gemini (born Dominic Wynn Woods on June 10, 1992) is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Fairfield, California. He is a member of California's The HBK Gang. He is known for his single "Gas Pedal" featuring Iamsu!, produced by Sage the Gemini. "Gas Pedal" peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Sage's first top 40 hit; it also reached number six on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and number four on the Hot Rap Songs charts in 2013. Sage's song "Red Nose", which he produced himself, peaked at number 54 on the Hot 100 and at number 12 on the Hot R&B Hip-Hop Songs. Both songs were taken from his debut EP Gas Pedal, which peaked at number 29 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. He signed to Republic Records in August 2013. His debut studio album Remember Me was released on March 25, 2014. He has released the singles "Guantanamera" and "Good Thing" in May 2015 from his album Bachelor Party, planned for release in 2016.

Show Banga

Show Banga is a rapper and songwriter from San Francisco, California. Currently signed to EMPIRE Recordings, he was releasing singles as early as 2011 on HomeTeam Entertainment, and in 2013 he released the deluxe edition of his album Don't Stop Votin'. Show Banga's single "Milli," which was produced by Dave-O of The A-Team, was released in 2014. According to Rehab Online Magazine, "Show Banga arguably has one of the most rare [rap] flows in the Bay Area, with 'I Been That' being a contender for the rapper’s breakout cut. However, the bass-packed track 'Milli' is pretty damn hard." In April 2015, he released Mayor 4 Life on EMPIRE Recordings, with guest artists such as E-40, Kool John, Sage The Gemini, and P-Lo. Show Banga has performed at festivals such as SXSW, and is set to tour with Iamsu! in spring 2015.

Early life and career

Show Banga was born in San Francisco, California, where he was raised in the Fillmore District. By the age of seven he was rapping, and by high school he had decided to pursue music as a career. Early on he rapped in the local group Go - Gettaz, which developed a local following and went on to tour locally before disbanding. By 2011 Show Banga was releasing his own solo material, as well as appearing on the Team BackPack cyphers in the area.
