The "Friday" actor says that he grew up in Compton, went to Compton High School, and later attended Cal State L.A., where he was the 1982 NCAA Division II National Shot Put Champion. When speaking about growing up in Compton, Tiny jokes about needing a "bulletproof ass" to survive and shares a story about a big shootout at his high school, where he claims around 13 people were shot. He recalls that when they would put the school on lockdown and search everything, they would find 30-40 guns, adding, "The teachers all had guns at our high school."
