City of Long Beach is beautiful, looks fresh and inviting but there is a sad reality that coastal cities today face all over the world. The ocean surrounding Long Beach is polluted.
*All nine of Long Beach’s oceanfront beaches — from Shoreline Aquatic Park stretching to the border with Orange County — received F or D grades in September and October, meaning the water exceeded safe levels for three strains of bacteria, according to the latest numbers from Heal the Bay’s Beach Report Card. Heal the Bay monitors 15 beaches in the city; six are in within the bay or lagoons.10/24/13
Beautiful to see but if you are vacationing here it is better to use the pool at a hotel to refresh then going in the ocean.
*Long Beach received the most failing grades, far more than any other single area of Los Angeles and Orange counties.
It's sad...and should have everyone upset to the point of doing something about it, not for tourism but because the right thing is taking care of the environment.

Vince Staples is only 21 years old but he's wise beyond his years. While he's quick to recall some of the more violent events of his Long Beach upbringing, as evidenced by some of the harsh tales on his Hell Can Wait EP, he understands that there's more to life than gang banging and repping for dead homies. He knows his history too, as he's able to explain how a place like South Central got it's name. Plus he's keenly aware of the stereotypes of "the hood" and how rappers make it seem like their hometowns are battleground akin to Fallujah. So when Vince gave us a tour of his neighborhood in Long Beach, he didn't want to just show off spots where people got killed (though he did show us that) but also places that had warm memories.
Our day starts off at his grandmother's house, which is technically in Compton, as he recalls how his grandfather strived to own his own property. Afterwards, we head to a house he family lived in before it was taken away but still had fun times in. We also visited the spot where one of his homeboys was recently killed, as Vince recalls how his life became more dramatic in the summer of 2006 which is why his upcoming debut album is titled, Summertime '06. We hit Ramona Park with his crew where Vince remembered the good times playing baseball but also spoke on the lack of opportunity in his community. And finally, we hit up producer Chuck Wun's house, the spot where Vince's music career began as he reflected on why he doesn't want to just up and leave his neighborhood.

i/ˌkælᵻˈfɔːrnjə/ KAL-ə-FORN-yə, /ˌkælᵻˈfɔːrniə/ KAL-ə-FAWR-nee-ə) is a state located on the West Coast of the United States. It is the most populous U.S. state, with 39 million people, and the third largest state by area (after Alaska and Texas). California is bordered by Oregon to the north, Nevada to the east, Arizona to the southeast, and the Mexican state of Baja California to the south. It contains the nation's second most populous census statistical area (Greater Los Angeles Area) and the fifth most populous (San Francisco Bay Area), and eight of the nation's 50 most populated cities (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, Sacramento, Long Beach, and Oakland). Sacramento has been the state capital since 1854.
What is now California was first settled by various Native American tribes before being explored by a number of European expeditions during the 16th and 17th centuries. It was then claimed by the Spanish Empire as part of Alta California in the larger territory of New Spain. Alta California became a part of Mexico in 1821 following its successful war for independence, but was ceded to the United States in 1848 after the Mexican–American War. The western portion of Alta California was organized as the State of California, which was admitted as the 31st state on September 9, 1850. The California Gold Rush starting in 1848 led to dramatic social and demographic change, with large-scale immigration from the east and abroad with an accompanying economic boom.

Long Beach, California
Long Beach is a city in Los Angeles County in Southern California, on the Pacific coast of the United States. The city is the 36th-largest city in the United States and the seventh-largest in California. As of 2010, its population was 462,257. In addition, Long Beach is the second largest city in the Greater Los Angeles Area (after Los Angeles) and a principal city of the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
The Port of Long Beach is the United States' second busiest container port and one of the world's largest shipping ports. The city also maintains a large oil industry with wells located both underground and offshore. Manufacturing sectors include those in aircraft, car parts, electronic and audiovisual equipment, and home furnishings.
Downtown Long Beach is located approximately 22 miles (35 km) south of Downtown Los Angeles, though the two cities border each other for several miles on Long Beach's southwestern portion. Long Beach borders Orange County on its southeast edge.

Vince Staples
Vince Staples (born July 2, 1993) is an American rapper from Long Beach, California. He is one-third of the hip hop group Cutthroat Boyz, alongside fellow California rappers Joey Fatts and Aston Matthews. Staples was also known as a close associate of Odd Future, in particular Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt. Staples is currently signed to Blacksmith Records, ARTium Recordings and Def Jam Recordings. He came to prominence with his appearances on albums by Odd Future members and his collaborative mixtape titled Stolen Youth, with fellow American rapper Mac Miller, who produced the entire project. In October 2014, he released his debut EP Hell Can Wait, which included the singles "Hands Up" and "Blue Suede". His debut album, Summertime '06, was released on June 30, 2015, to critical acclaim.
He was also chosen as part of the XXL Magazine 2015 Freshman Class.
Music career
Once he decided to get away from gang banging, he stayed out of trouble by hanging out with Dijon "LaVish" Samo and Chuck Wun who at that time were into making music. LaVish brought Vince on a trip to LA where he'd be recording with Syd tha Kyd from Odd Future and Vince ended up befriending her, Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt. Although he never wanted to be a rapper he featured on some of their songs, most notably Epar from Earls self-titled debut and after being urged by them and fans wanting more he decided to pursue a career in rap because he had no other plan for life. His debut mixtape Shyne Coldchain Vol. 1, was released December 30, 2011 via applebird.com. In October 2012, Staples released a mixtape entitled Winter In Prague, produced entirely by Michael Uzowuru.

City of Long Beach is beautiful, looks fresh and inviting but there is a sad reality that coastal cities today face all over the world. The ocean surrounding Long Beach is polluted. *All nine of Long Beach’s oceanfront beaches — from Shoreline Aquatic Park stretching to the border with Orange County — received F or D grades in September and October, meaning the water exceeded safe levels for three strains of bacteria, according to the latest numbers from Heal the Bay’s Beach Report Card. Vince Staples Gives Complex A Tour of Long Beach, CA | Neighborhood
Vince Staples is only 21 years old but he's wise beyond his years. While he's quick to recall some of the more violent events of his Long Beach upbringing, as evidenced by some of the harsh tales on his Hell Can Wait EP, he understands that there's more to life than gang banging and repping for dead homies. He knows his history too, as he's able to explain how a place like South Central got it's name. Plus he's keenly aware of the stereotypes of "the hood" and how rappers make it seem like their hometowns are battleground akin to Fallujah. So when Vince gave us a tour of his neighborhood in Long Beach, he didn't want to just show off spots where people got killed (though he did show us that) but also places that had warm memories. It's sad...and should have everyone upset to the point of doing something about it, not for tourism but because the right thing is taking care of the environment.

While he's quick to recall some of the more violent events of his Long Beach upbringing, as evidenced by some of the harsh tales on his Hell Can Wait EP, he understands that there's more to life than gang banging and repping for dead homies. He knows his history too, as he's able to explain how a place like South Central got it's name. Plus he's keenly aware of the stereotypes of "the hood" and how rappers make it seem like their hometowns are battleground akin to Fallujah. So when Vince gave us a tour of his neighborhood in Long Beach, he didn't want to just show off spots where people got killed (though he did show us that) but also places that had warm memories.
Our day starts off at his grandmother's house, which is technically in Compton, as he recalls how his grandfather strived to own his own property. Afterwards, we head to a house he family lived in before it was taken away but still had fun times in. We also visited the spot where one of his homeboys was recently killed, as Vince recalls how his life became more dramatic in the summer of 2006 which is why his upcoming debut album is titled, Summertime '06. We hit Ramona Park with his crew where Vince remembered the good times playing baseball but also spoke on the lack of opportunity in his community. And finally, we hit up producer Chuck Wun's house, the spot where Vince's music career began as he reflected on why he doesn't want to just up and leave his neighborhood.

*All nine of Long Beach’s oceanfront beaches — from Shoreline Aquatic Park stretching to the border with Orange County — received F or D grades in September and October, meaning the water exceeded safe levels for three strains of bacteria, according to the latest numbers from Heal the Bay’s Beach Report Card. Heal the Bay monitors 15 beaches in the city; six are in within the bay or lagoons.10/24/13
Beautiful to see but if you are vacationing here it is better to use the pool at a hotel to refresh then going in the ocean.

Vince Staples is only 21 years old but he's wise beyond his years. While he's quick to recall some of the more violent events of his Long Beach upbringing, as evidenced by some of the harsh tales on his Hell Can Wait EP, he understands that there's more to life than gang banging and repping for dead homies. He knows his history too, as he's able to explain how a place like South Central got it's name. Plus he's keenly aware of the stereotypes of "the hood" and how rappers make it seem like their hometowns are battleground akin to Fallujah. So when Vince gave us a tour of his neighborhood in Long Beach, he didn't want to just show off spots where people got killed (though he did show us that) but also places that had warm memories.
Our day starts off at his grandmother's house, which is technically in Compton, as he recalls how his grandfather strived to own his own property. Afterwards, we head to a house he family lived in before it was taken away but still had fun times in. We also visited the spot where one of his homeboys was recently killed, as Vince recalls how his life became more dramatic in the summer of 2006 which is why his upcoming debut album is titled, Summertime '06. We hit Ramona Park with his crew where Vince remembered the good times playing baseball but also spoke on the lack of opportunity in his community. And finally, we hit up producer Chuck Wun's house, the spot where Vince's music career began as he reflected on why he doesn't want to just up and leave his neighborhood.

This is a 3 hour non repeating, non- looped relaxing video of actual Pacific Ocean waves crashing against a beach. At the beginning of the video the sun rises behind the camera to light up the waves and shore birds. At 31:34 shore birds arrive.
High Tide was at 9:20am (about half way through the video). Filmed from 8am to 11am. Marine Street Beach near the community of La Jolla, California is legendary to body surfers and body boarders because of its thunderous waves, which crash right at shoreline. However, this beach may not be ideal for families, as the rough surf is not well suited to children. The rough waves at this beach have been known to cause serious injury to swimmers and body boarders.
Some play this video to relax or for insomnia to help them sleep. Nature sounds like these ocean waves, waterfalls, rain, thunder, and lightning help lullaby you into deep relaxation and sleep provide white noise for tinnitus sufferers and insomniacs
