Charlie Siem

Charles Maximilian "Charlie" Siem (born 14 January 1986) is an English contemporary classical violinist as well as a model.

Life

Charlie Siem was born in London, England, to billionaire Kristian Siem, a Norwegian businessman, and his South-African born wife Karen Ann, née Moross. His sister is Sasha Siem, a musician.

Siem began the study of violin at age three when his interest piqued upon hearing the cassettes his mother would play. He went on to study at Eton College and Girton College, Cambridge, and continued his violin studies with Itzhak Rashkovsky and Shlomo Mintz. He performed his first concerto with an orchestra at age 15, and played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at age 18. He has gained recognition in the past few years by playing alongside artists such as The Who and Miley Cyrus. Among his fans include Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. Siem also professionally models having been the face of Dunhill London and Hugo Boss.

Siem is distantly related to Norwegian violin virtuoso and composer Ole Bull.

Studio 10

Studio 10 is an Australian morning talk show on Network Ten. The show is presented by Ita Buttrose, Joe Hildebrand, Sarah Harris, Jessica Rowe and Denise Drysdale. The show airs between 8:30 am and 11:00 am on weekdays and a highlights show airs between 8:30 am and 11:00 am on weekends.

History

On 9 June 2013, Network Ten announced a new mid-morning show to replace The Circle which it cancelled the year previously. Ita Buttrose was the first presenter of the program to be named, her appointment drew much media attention as she was 71 years of age at the time. It was later announced Joe Hildebrand, Sarah Harris and Jessica Rowe would also be presenters on the new program The program would be filmed from Ten's Sydney studios in front of a live studio audience. It was later announced it would premiere on 4 November 2013 as part of Ten's brand new morning lineup which also included the short lived breakfast program Wake Up

On 11 November 2013, Buttrose served as a guest on Tens then breakfast show, Wake Up. Network Ten had planned to transport her from Wake Up's Manly studio to Tens Pyrmont studios by water taxi across Sydney Harbour in time for Studio 10 and film her journey with an overhead helicopter. However, due to poor weather Buttrose's water taxi became stranded, meaning she missed most of Studio 10.

Security information and event management

Security information and event management (SIEM) software products and services combine security information management (SIM) and security event management (SEM), and provide real-time analysis of security alerts generated by network hardware and applications.

SIEM is sold as software, appliances or managed services; these products are also used to log security data and generate reports for compliance purposes.

The acronyms SEM, SIM and SIEM have been sometimes used interchangeably. The segment of security management that deals with real-time monitoring, correlation of events, notifications and console views is commonly known as security event management (SEM). The second area provides long-term storage as well as analysis and reporting of log data, and is known as security information management (SIM). As with many meanings and definitions of capabilities, evolving requirements continually shape derivatives of SIEM product categories. The need for voice-centric visibility or vSIEM (voice security information and event management) is a recent example of this evolution.

Night of the Proms

Night of the Proms is a series of concerts held annually in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Denmark, Poland and the United States. Regularly there are also shows in France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden. The concerts consist of pop music and popular classical music (often combined) and various well-known musicians and groups usually participate (see below).

Night of the Proms is the biggest annually organised indoor event in Europe.

Night of the Proms is based on the Last Night of the Proms, the last concert of the BBC Proms, a series of seventy or so classical concerts held yearly in the Royal Albert Hall in London, but it is organised independently. Though its inclusion of large portions of pop music - in order to appeal to a wider audience - does not match its British counterpart and originator, it shares other elements, such as the tradition of ending the performance with British patriotic song Land of Hope and Glory.

History

Night of the Proms was created by two Belgian students, Jan Vereecke and Jan Van Esbroeck in 1985. The first NotP took place at the Antwerp Sportpaleis in Belgium on 19 October 1985. Nowadays the event is organized by PSE Belgium (Promotion for Special Events), still managed by Jan Vereecke and Jan Van Esbroeck. PSE co-operates with local promoters (Mojo in the Netherlands, Dirk Hohmeyer in Germany, Niels Estrup in Scandinavia, Paul Emery in the United States, Music Events Poland, etc.).
