Jason Nelson

Jason Nelson is a digital and hypermedia poet and artist. He is a lecturer on Cyberstudies, digital writing and creative practice at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. He is best known for his artistic flash games/essays such as Game, Game, Game And Again Game and I made this. You play this. We are Enemies and through his work on the Australia Council of the Arts Literature Board and the Board of the Electronic Literature Organization based at MIT.

Nelson's style of Web art mergers various genres and technologies, focusing on collages of poetry, image, sound, movement and interaction. He currently lives in Gold Coast, Australia.

Early life and education

Nelson grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He has a BA from the University of Oklahoma and an MFA in New Media Writing from Bowling Green State University. He began work as a poet, and now has over 30 digital works of art. As of 2009, he teaches Cyberstudies, digital art, and digital creative writing at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia.

Jason Nelson (musician)

Jason Albert Nelson (born November 10, 1974) is an American urban contemporary gospel artist and musician. He started his music career, in 2005, with the release of, I Shall Live, by Jaelyn Son Records. His second album, Place of Worship, was released in 2008. The first album with a major label, Shifting the Atmosphere, with Verity Records, was released in 2012, and this charted on two Billboard charts The Billboard 200 and the Top Gospel Albums. His second album with a major label, Jesus Revealed, with RCA Inspiration, was released in 2015, which this charted on the two aforementioned charts.

Early life

Nelson was born on November 10, 1974, as Jason Albert Nelson, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Rev. James D. Nelson, who was the pastor at the Greater Bethlehem Temple Church from 1977 until 2007, and Sister Bessie, and he was born just moments after his twin brother Jonathan Nelson. He has an older brother, who is Reverend James D. Nelson, Jr., and he has an older sister.
