A recent trend in a lot of contemporary films is that they seem to be composed almost entirely of close-ups. Does no one else think this is problematic? Through a close analysis of the opening scene of Howard Hawks' 'Rio Bravo' (1958), and a frankly unfair comparison between the dreadful 1978 version of 'The Big Sleep' and Hawks' 1946 classic, we'll see how a master chooses to use or not use a close-up. Potential Spoilers. For educational purposes only. Fair Use. Plimpton! Dwight Howard can't help it. When it comes to jokes, he's always going for the low-hanging fruit. Great, now we're doing it too. During a post-game interview following the Hawks win over the Chicago Bulls, Dwight was asked about the key factors to their victory. It went about as maturely as you would expect. But Howard was not to be outdone by videobomb master Kent Bazemore, whose #BazeGaze is still in full effect. She goes down fast and comes up slow
Gets in high and goes out low
Turns up late or doesn't show
She spends all her cash on letting go
I'm never early
I'm never late
I'm in at 5 and out at 8
Running just to keep the pace
When I'm tired I put on my bravest face
The sign said "Go Slow"
And lord knows how I tried to follow
Such a hard case with a soft face
You gave me one taste,
Now look at the shape I'm in
I love her but i like you too
My worst nightmare just came true
We might be done but we're not through
You wear me down just like you used to do
Hold me down under the sea
Drag me back to where we used to be
With the morning comes the the sun
The light of day just had to come
Now I know you're not the one
