The 2008 K2 disaster occurred on 1 August 2008, when eleven mountaineers from international expeditions died on K2, the second-highest mountain on Earth. Three others were seriously injured. The series of deaths, over the course of the Friday ascent and Saturday descent, was the worst single accident in the history of K2 mountaineering. Some of the specific details remain uncertain, with different plausible scenarios for timing and actions by different climbers when reported later in eyewitness accounts from survivors or from radio communications of climbers who died later (sometimes minutes later) in the course of events on K2 that day.

Ji Chang Wook (Healer, Warrior Baek Dong Soo) and Song Yoon Ah (Assembly) star in a political drama that shows you really shouldn’t mess with somebody’s present when they can royally wreck your future. Kim Je Ha (Ji Chang Wook) is a former secret service agent, unquestionably patriotic yet abandoned by his colleagues. An elite soldier, Kim Je Ha is also tremendously athletic, armed with martial arts skills and ice-cool nerves known to few. He gets hired as a bodyguard by Choi Yoo Jin (Song Yoon Ah), the premier First Lady candidate and the daughter of a chaebol family. Behind Choi Yoo Jin’s kind and friendly demeanor, though, lies a woman with deep ambition and a ruthless willingness to pursue it at all costs. Amidst his struggles and her ambitions, there is also Go An Na (The Prime Minister and I star and SNSD member Im Yoon Ah), the reclusive and hidden daughter of the presidential hopeful who, due to a childhood trauma, is unable to communicate with the world and only sees love as a tool for revenge. So when she and Kim Je Ha, both abandoned souls slowly growing closer, decide to enact vengeance upon the people who wronged them, can they put their own traumas aside and focus, or will their emotional scars cause them to fail in their quest for retribution? It is written by Jang Hyeok Rin, who fans will recognize for the screenplay of Yong Pal. The first script reading for the series took place in August 2016 at the CJ E&M;; Center in Seoul, back when Im Yoon Ah was not attached to the project, and filming commenced soon after in Spain. The first episode of The K2 will air on September 23, 2016, with subsequent episodes airing every Friday and Saturday on tvN at the 8:00PM time slot, and an expected conclusion airing some time in December 2016.

In the summer of 2008 an international expedition, led by expedition leader Wilco van Rooijen, climbed the 8611m high K2 in Pakistan, without supplementary oxygen. The descent witnessed one of the worst tragedies in recent climbing history.
For three days Wilco van Rooijen was reported missing; and outside world had all but given up hope of ever seeing him alive again. But he survived three days in the dead zone. The expedition paid a high prize, their beloved team member Ger McDonnell lost his life after trying to save other climbers life!

K2
K2, also known as Chhogori/Qogir, Ketu/Kechu, and Mount Godwin-Austen (Native Balti name: Chhoghori; Balti/Tibetan script: ཆོ་གོ་རི); Chinese: 乔戈里峰; Urdu: چھوغوری), is the second highest mountain in the world, after Mount Everest, at 8,611 metres (28,251 ft) above sea level. It is located on the China-Pakistan border between Baltistan, in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of northern Pakistan, and the Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County of Xinjiang, China. K2 is the highest point of the Karakoram range and the highest point in Pakistan.
K2 is known as the Savage Mountain due to the extreme difficulty of ascent. It has the second-highest fatality rate among the eight thousanders. With around 300 successful summits and 80 fatalities, about one person dies on the mountain for every four who summit. It is more difficult and hazardous to reach the peak of K2 from the Chinese side; thus, it is usually climbed from the Pakistani side. Unlike Annapurna, the mountain with the highest fatality-to-summit rate (191 summits and 61 fatalities), K2 has never been climbed during winter.

King Wen of Zhou
King Wen of Zhou (Chinese: 周文王; pinyin: Zhōu Wén Wáng; 1152 – 1056 BC) was king of Zhou during the late Shang dynasty in ancient China. Although it was his son Wu who conquered the Shang following the Battle of Muye, King Wen was honored as the founder of the Zhou dynasty. A large number of the hymns of the Classic of Poetry are praises to the legacy of King Wen. Some consider him the first epic hero of Chinese history.
Ah! Solemn is the clear temple,
reverent and concordant the illustrious assistants.
Dignified, dignified are the many officers,
holding fast to the virtue of King Wen.
Responding in praise to the one in Heaven,
they hurry swiftly within the temple.
Greatly illustrious, greatly honored,

Biography
Born Ji Chang (姬昌), Wen was the son of Tai Ren and Ji Jili, the king of a small state along the Wei River in present-day Shaanxi. His father was betrayed and executed by the Shang emperor Wen Ding in the late 12th century BC.

An Na
An Na (born 1972) is a South Korea-bornAmerican children's book author. Starting her career as a middle school English and History teacher, Na turned to writing novels after taking a young adult literature class while enrolled in an M.F.A. program at Vermont College of Fine Arts. She gained success with her very first novel A Step From Heaven, published by Front Street Press in 2001, which won the annual Michael L. Printz Award from the American Library Association recognizing the year's "best book written for teens, based entirely on its literary merit". It was also a finalist for the National Book Award, Young People's Literature, and later found its way onto numerous "best book" lists. Na still makes frequent visits to middle schools to talk about her works and encourages young Asian-American students to become artists and harness their creativity. She cites Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes and Sandra Cisneros's The House on Mango Street among the influences on her writing and also admires the work of Madeleine L'Engle and of her first writing teacher, Jacqueline Woodson. She divides her time between Oakland, California and Warren, Vermont.

Neighborhood Hero (Hangul: 동네의 영웅) is a 2016 South Korean espionage television drama series, starring Park Shi Hoo, Jo Sung-ha, Lee Soo-hyuk, Kwon Yuri and Yoon Tae-young. It was first broadcast on January 23, 2016 on OCN.
Plot
A former spy trains a police hopeful to become a secret agent. He purchases the "Neighborhood" bar that former agents treat as a haven, observing them as he uncovers the mystery behind a failed mission that cost him the life of his colleague.

The 2008 K2 disaster occurred on 1 August 2008, when eleven mountaineers from international expeditions died on K2, the second-highest mountain on Earth. Three others were seriously injured. The series of deaths, over the course of the Friday ascent and Saturday descent, was the worst single accident in the history of K2 mountaineering. Some of the specific details remain uncertain, with different plausible scenarios for timing and actions by different climbers when reported later in eyewitness accounts from survivors or from radio communications of climbers who died later (sometimes minutes later) in the course of events on K2 that day.

In the summer of 2008 an international expedition, led by expedition leader Wilco van Rooijen, climbed the 8611m high K2 in Pakistan, without supplementary oxygen. The descent witnessed one of the worst tragedies in recent climbing history.
For three days Wilco van Rooijen was reported missing; and outside world had all but given up hope of ever seeing him alive again. But he survived three days in the dead zone. The expedition paid a high prize, their beloved team member Ger McDonnell lost his life after trying to save other climbers life!
