Jejudo (also known as Jeju Island) is the largest island off the coast of the Korean Peninsula, and the main island of Jeju Province.
The island lies in the Korea Strait, southwest of South Jeolla Province. The island contains the natural World Heritage Site Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes.

태풍 난마돌 화요일 제주 동쪽으로 북상할듯.. 안전처, 대책 회의
It's offially monsoon season here in Korea and heavy downpour over the weekend did let its presence be felt.
Typhoon Nanmadol... is also making its way up north, fortunately, its destructive force would have been reduced considerably.
Song Ji-sun give us the updates.
The most rain over the weekend fell on Korea's eastern alpine province of Gangwon-do, which logged more than 360 milimeters over the past three days.
The heavy rainfall cut off roads and isolated campers across flooded streams, but all were rescued and there were no casualties reported.
"The big trees carried by the flood waters cut off the bridge. And this morning we also lost our water supply."
"I barely made it out. Water was coming in from all sides,... so cars couldn't get out and neither could people."
Up to 150 millimeters more rain is in the forecast through Wednesday... as Typhoon Nanmadol is projected to pass east of Jeju-do Island Tuesday morning... heading toward Japan.
But the relatively small-scale typhoon will die down as it moves east.
The Ministry of Public Safety and Security held an emergency meeting on Monday with related ministries and officials to check on preparations and contingency plans.

Tour vs Tour is a real road program that takes viewers to Korea′s most scenic sites. In Episode 11, both Tina and Benji go to Jejudo Island.
First stop
Benji and his partner Maria are off to Suwolbong Peak, a beautiful cliff formed by the powers of nature. Tina meets her partner Joel at a red lighthouse in Hahyohang Harbor. Both teams begin their travels and get to know Jejudo Island better.
Second stop
Team Tina goes to Soesokkak Estuary, a must-visit destination for leisure activities, and rides see-through kayaks, while Team Benji tries out paddle boating at Jongdalri Beach. Both teams will get missions, but what are those missions, and how will they end?
Third stop
Benji and Maria enjoy themselves at Donneko Valley, filled with cool water and an enchanting air, and where do they go next tocatch the sunset?
Meanwhile, Tina and Joel go to the Jeju Glass Castle with its dreamlike atmosphere and make a special token of their memories.
Both teams are at Jejudo Island!
But which team will the supporters choose?

Tour vs Tour is a real road program that takes viewers to Korea′s most scenic sites. In Episode 11, both Tina and Benji go to Jejudo Island. First stop Benji and his partner Maria are off to Suwolbong Peak, a beautiful cliff formed by the powers of nature. Tina meets her partner Joel at a red lighthouse in Hahyohang Harbor. Both teams begin their travels and get to know Jejudo Island better. Second stop Team Tina goes to Soesokkak Estuary, a must-visit destination for leisure activities, and rides see-through kayaks, while Team Benji tries out paddle boating at Jongdalri Beach. Both teams will get missions, but what are those missions, and how will they end? Third stop Benji and Maria enjoy themselves at Donneko Valley, filled with cool water and an enchanting air, and where do they go next tocatch the sunset? End of year special in Jeju-do part 1: Today's location is the warmest place in Korea, it's Marado! The members arrive in Jeju-do first by plane. They're so excited and they hire a rental car. What kind of car will they get? They get to the boat terminal but something feels oddly wrong. A high seas warning means that they can't set out to sea! They have to have an emergency meeting. The members get excited that they don't have to travel by boat. The weather even shocks the production crew. This is truly freezing weather. The worst weather conditions and the worst challenge. The members float around the beach like leaves blowing in the wind. Will they be able to overcome the greatest hardship of their lives.

It's offially monsoon season here in Korea and heavy downpour over the weekend did let its presence be felt.
Typhoon Nanmadol... is also making its way up north, fortunately, its destructive force would have been reduced considerably.
Song Ji-sun give us the updates.
The most rain over the weekend fell on Korea's eastern alpine province of Gangwon-do, which logged more than 360 milimeters over the past three days.
The heavy rainfall cut off roads and isolated campers across flooded streams, but all were rescued and there were no casualties reported.
"The big trees carried by the flood waters cut off the bridge. And this morning we also lost our water supply."
"I barely made it out. Water was coming in from all sides,... so cars couldn't get out and neither could people."
Up to 150 millimeters more rain is in the forecast through Wednesday... as Typhoon Nanmadol is projected to pass east of Jeju-do Island Tuesday morning... heading toward Japan.
But the relatively small-scale typhoon will die down as it moves east.
The Ministry of Public Safety and Security held an emergency meeting on Monday with related ministries and officials to check on preparations and contingency plans.

Tour vs Tour is a real road program that takes viewers to Korea′s most scenic sites. In Episode 11, both Tina and Benji go to Jejudo Island.
First stop
Benji and his partner Maria are off to Suwolbong Peak, a beautiful cliff formed by the powers of nature. Tina meets her partner Joel at a red lighthouse in Hahyohang Harbor. Both teams begin their travels and get to know Jejudo Island better.
Second stop
Team Tina goes to Soesokkak Estuary, a must-visit destination for leisure activities, and rides see-through kayaks, while Team Benji tries out paddle boating at Jongdalri Beach. Both teams will get missions, but what are those missions, and how will they end?

Around a hundred kilometres off South Korea’s southern coast and lapped by the waves of the East China Sea is Jeju Island, an extraordinary holiday paradise situated on a volcanic island with temples, waterfalls, tee plantations and several leisure facilities. In the middle of the north coast is Jeju-Si, the island’s capital city. The first thing that catches the eye is Yongduam Rock that is situated on the city’s western periphery. It is an unusual lava formation that resembles a dragon’s head. The National Museum features the island’s history and culture including the clothing of the first settlers and the boats that first brought them to the island. The nearby fishing village of Haenyed boasts a special attraction, the island’s famous female divers. For generations these courageous women have dived to a depth of twenty metres for shells and seaweed without breathing apparatus and go for two minutes without breathing. On the western heights of the south coast is the Songaksan Crater, an extinct volcano whose slopes are covered with green vegetation. The steep coast and rocky bay indicate that powerful eruptions once took place there and perhaps the volcano’s benign appearance may only be a momentary lapse in the geological history of the island. Jeju Island is a remarkable place and well worth a visit!

Jejudo is a volcanic island, 130 km from the southern coast of Korea. The largest island and smallest province in Korea, the island has a surface area of 1,846 sqkm. A central feature of Jeju is Hallasan, the tallest mountain in South Korea and a dormant volcano, which rises 1,950 m above sea level. 360 satellite volcanoes are around the main volcano.

Five Cool Facts About Jeju Island:
1.The highest mountain in South Korea, Hallasan (Halla Mountain), is located on Jeju Island. The peak of the mountain looks like a giant crater.
2. UNESCO registered as a World Heritage Sites: Halla Mountain, Seongsan Sunrise peak and lava cave system where lava tubes were formed when the lava erupting from the volcano cooled. It's called to as Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes.
3. Jeju Island has also been called the ‘Hawaii of Korea'.
4. On Jeju exists the ‘Goblin's road'. Due to an optical illusion of the surrounding landscape, cars moving downhill roads look like they move uphill.
