William Malcolm "Bill" McLean (28 February 1918 – 9 December 1996) was an Australian soldier and a state and national representative rugby union player who captained the Wallabies in five Test matches immediately after World War II.
Like their father, Doug McLean, Sr., Bill's older brother Doug, Jr. had represented for Australia in both rugby codes before Bill left school. Bill too was a promising sportsman – goalkeeper in the 1938 Queensland Water Polo Team and rowing in Surf Boat crews winning the Queensland state championship in 1938. He pursued a rugby career and in 1938 played with the GPS club in Brisbane and made his representative debut with state selection the following year. From there he was selected for the ill fated 1939 Wallaby tour to England captained by Vay Wilson. The team docked at Southampton on the day when England declared war and after a couple of weeks spent filling sandbags to start the war effort, the squad set sail for Australia having not played a game. Of the unlucky tourists only McLean, Keith Windon and Len Smith would return to footballing success after the war.
Night After Night may refer to:
Night or nighttime (sp. night-time or night time) is the period of time between the sunset and the sunrise when the Sun is below the horizon.
This occurs after dusk. The opposite of night is day (or "daytime" to distinguish it from "day" as used for a 24-hour period). The start and end points of time of a night vary based on factors such as season, latitude, longitude and timezone.
At any given time, one side of the planet Earth is bathed in light from the Sun (the daytime) and the other side of the Earth is in the shadow caused by the Earth blocking the light of the sun. This shadow is called the umbra. Natural illumination is still provided by a combination of moonlight, planetary light, starlight, diffuse zodiacal light, gegenschein, and airglow. In some circumstances, bioluminescence, aurorae, and lightning can provide some illumination. The glow provided by artificial illumination is sometimes referred to as light pollution because it can interfere with observational astronomy and ecosystems.

Black Orpheus (Portuguese: Orfeu Negro) is a 1959 film made in Brazil by French director Marcel Camus and starring Marpessa Dawn and Breno Mello. It is based on the play Orfeu da Conceição by Vinicius de Moraes, which is an adaptation of the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, set in the modern context of a favela in Rio de Janeiro during Carnaval. The film was an international co-production between production companies in Brazil, France and Italy.
The film is particularly noted for its soundtrack by two Brazilian composers: Antônio Carlos Jobim, whose song "A felicidade" opens the film; and Luiz Bonfá, whose "Manhã de Carnaval" and "Samba of Orpheus" have become bossa nova classics. The songs sung by the character Orfeu were dubbed by singer Agostinho dos Santos.
Lengthy passages of the film were shot in the Morro da Babilônia, a favela (slum) in the Leme neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro.
A marble Greek bas relief explodes to reveal black men dancing the samba to drums in a favela. Eurydice (Marpessa Dawn) arrives in Rio de Janeiro, and takes a trolley driven by Orfeu (Breno Mello). New to the city, she rides to the end of the line, where Orfeu introduces her to the station guard, Hermes (Alexandro Constantino), who gives her directions to the home of her cousin Serafina (Léa Garcia).

Genres: Adventure,Spooky - Played by Bill McLean (chromatic harmonica) Now available at http://cdbaby.com/cd/BILLMCLEAN13 Video was inspired by the great detective extraordinaire - Jacques Pierre Clouseau Jr. -- who showed us all how to get into "the groove". Bill & his "cat" had fun making this video with this groovy tune -- so enjoy the music and "groove" along -- just in time for Halloween -- Spooky!! Spooky was originally released as an instrumental sax version by Mike Sharpe (aka Mike Shapiro) in the 60's. It later was released with lyrics by the Atlanta Rhythm Section in the 70's (Mike Shapiro was a member and he and all the members of ARS are credited with authorship of Spooky). Bill's jazz version of Spooky is shorter than the original vocal version and the video only shows some of the lyrics ...
Night Noises is an original song -- music by Bill McLean -- lyrics by Judy Dole. Copyright William A McLean and Judy Dole. Played by: Bill McLean (chromatic harmonica), Bob Luedke (guitar) and Mike Gallagher (drums). Sung by: Neil Reeder Lyrics: Where does it come from? Where does it go? Thundering down out of sight. I am alone, but not by myself, Hearing noises in the night. The sound of a whistle sings to my soul. Waking me out of my dreams. Still I don't know, should I answer the call Of the noises in the night. It remembers the rocking, The kissing and the hating And the numbness that comes with the pain. And it takes it and engulfs it And runs like the wind, 'Til it brings me around once again. It uncouples cars, leaves them behind. There's nothing left to remind -- to r...

Bill was in town a couple months ago and he stopped by my office. So I handed him a harmonica and whipped out my camcorder. He did this beautiful rendition for me in one take. This song was written by David Gates - best known as performed by him and his group "Bread"-- Here are the lovely lyrics: You sheltered me from harm. Kept me warm, kept me warm You gave my life to me Set me free, Set me free The finest years I ever knew were all the years I had with you I would give anything I own, Give up my life, my heart, my home. I would give everything I own, just to have you back again. You taught me how to love, What it's all, what it's all. You never said too much, but still you showed the way, and I knew from watching you. Nobody else could ever know the part of me that can't let go...

(Cinematography and video by Veronica) No one knows what's on her mind What does she expect to find In her world that's so unkind Night after Night Night after Night She always seems to be alone She has no love to keep her home I guess that's why she has to roam Night after Night Night after Night Sometimes the pain of life is just too much We all need a tender loving touch But some of us just hang on to our crutch Night after Night Night after Night Everybody knows her name She knows everybody's game Cause she knows by now They're always the ...
