Deviled Ham-I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night-1968 US

Before Deviled Ham, there was The Ascots and then White Wash. As part of the Rhode Island rock and roll scene, all three bands achieved success, as demonstrated by a handful of popular 45 releases. Managed by Al Pavlow, Deviled Ham was a theatrical rock group that most likely was at least a year ahead of the times. The group recorded a full length LP, highlighted by a 20-minute pertformance of 'The Raven', a classic psychedelic song that has kept the group's name alive in collector circles. Deviled Ham was Ted Medbury, Vin Medbury and Mark Vinbury. (http://www.60sgaragebands.com/deviledham.html)
Their sole album released in 1968 on Super K (SKS 6003).Two songs from this album, "Come On In" and "The Raven- I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night- Rosemary's Baby". Enjoy!!!

Darius - 1969 US

Darius aka Robert J. Ott was a mysterious figure that made a self-titled album in 1969 on Chartmaker records out of LA. Totally obscure and yet likeable if you imagine a folky Psychedelic Elvis. Information is sketchy but "Shades Of Blue" might be a welcome addition to your record collection from this passionate and talented singer – the last note of the song is tremendous.
Darius ll seems to be a ‘found’ album of unreleased songs and a little research tells me there was another project in the eighties called The Earthlings but he seems to have dropped off the map until a German label World Of Sound rediscovered him in 2002. That’s about all I know except that one website suggested that he had a car accident in 1974 and that’s what may have hindered his progress – sadly he died of cancer in 2006. Alas no one noticed him then and unfortunately no-one has noticed him since – now’s your chance.(indeepmusicarchive)
From the Austrian unofficial release of this great album by Breeder (RPR 005-2C-565), i chose "Shades Of Blue" and "I'm The Man". Enjoy!!!

Second Damnation followed a year later, generating the minor hit "Back To The River".(allmusic)

Clee's Five-Jerk With The Clee's Five-1967 Belgium

One of the better dance-bands of the late sixties. The band was founded on the remains of the fifties bebop-jazz orchestra "The Flamingo's" and "The Croonies", recruited by the brothers Stevens from the best musicians of a number of high-school bands. Leader of the gang became Clement van Herzele, rebaptized to Clee. This band came about in 1962 and slowly but surely built a good reputation for itself in the region of Zottegem.
In 1966 Griet de Bock joined the band (much later, Humo would write "the very first female rock-and-roll singer in Flanders", best known as "Kate") which gave the band new possibilities. They recorded an album for Philips, live in dancing "De Truweel" in Sint-Lievens-Esse, with nothing but well-known songs from those days (e.g. "Hey Joe", "The Beat goes on", "Happy Together" ...).(http://houbi.com/belpop/groups/cleesfive.htm)
