Bazaar

A bazaar is a permanently enclosed marketplace, or street where goods and services are exchanged or sold. The term originates from the Persian word bāzār, from Middle Persian wāzār, from Old Persian vāčar, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *wahā-čarana.Souq is another word used in the Middle East for an open-air marketplace or commercial quarter. The term bazaar is sometimes also used to refer to the "network of merchants, bankers, and craftsmen" who work in that area. Although the current meaning of the word is believed to have originated in native Zoroastrian Persia, its use has spread and now has been accepted into the vernacular in countries around the world. The rise of large bazaars and stock trading centers in the Muslim World allowed the creation of new capitals and eventually new empires. New and wealthy cities such as Isfahan, Golconda, Samarkand, Cairo, Baghdad, and Timbuktu were founded along trade routes and bazaars. Street markets is the European and North American equivalents.

Reshmi Ghosh

Reshmi Ghosh (Bengali: রেশমি ঘোষ) is an Indian beauty queen and actress. She was recently playing Indrawati (Daayan's Spirit) in Sasural Simar Ka.

Early life

She was born and brought up in Kolkata. She has done her schooling from Carmel Convent School. She completed her graduation in BA from Jogamaya Devi College, Kolkata with first class marks. This Bengali beauty has grown up from being a very shy girl to a confident model and an aspiring actress. She has a younger sister.

Personal life

Reshmi married to Siddharth Vasudev, her co-star from Shobha Somnath Ki on 1 February 2013 at Kolkata. Reshmi and Siddharth Vasudev are also seen as on-screen couple in Buddha (TV series).

Career

Since being crowned Miss India Earth 2002, Ghosh has appeared in several Bollywood films as well as television serials and advertisements.

Naseeruddin Shah

Naseeruddin Shah (born 20 July 1949 or 16 August 1950) is an Indian film and stage actor and director, and a prominent figure in Indian parallel cinema. Shah has won numerous awards in his career, including three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards and an award at the Venice Film Festival. The government of India has honoured him with the Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan awards for his contributions to Indian cinema.

Early life

Shah was born into a Muslim family in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh state of India. He is a descendant of a 19th-century Afghan warlord Jan-Fishan Khan who participated in the First Anglo-Afghan War and helped the British in the subsequent Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Shah did his schooling at St. Anselm's Ajmer and St Joseph's College, Nainital. He graduated in arts from Aligarh Muslim University in 1971 and attended National School of Drama in Delhi. He has been successful in mainstream Bollywood cinema as well as in Parallel Cinema. He has appeared in international films, notably playing Captain Nemo in the Hollywood adaptation The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Farooq Sheikh

Farooq Sheikh (25 March 1948 − 27 December 2013) was an Indian actor, philanthropist and a popular television presenter. He was best known for his work in Hindi films from 1977 to 1989 and for his work in television between 1988 and 2002. He returned to acting in films in 2008 and continued to do so until his death on 27 December 2013. His major contribution was in Parallel Cinema or the New Indian Cinema. He worked with directors like Satyajit Ray, Muzaffar Ali, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Ketan Mehta.

He acted in serials and shows on television and performed on stage in famous productions such as Tumhari Amrita (1992), alongside Shabana Azmi, directed by Feroz Abbas Khan, and presented the TV show, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai (Season 1). He won the 2010 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Lahore.

Personal life

Shaikh was born in Amroli, Surat District, Gujarat in 1948 to Muslim father Mustafa Shaikh and Parsi Mother Farida. His father Mustafa Shaikh was a lawyer from Mumbai; whilst his original ancestral heritage was Hansot village (Bharuch district, Gujarat). His family were Zamindars, and he grew up in luxurious surroundings. He was the eldest of five children.

Bazaar E Husn

Bazaar E Husn (Urdu: بازارٍ حسن‎; Hindi: बाजार ऐ हुस्न) is an Hindi film based on Munshi Premchand’s renowned only Urdu novel Bazaar-e-Husn, released on 18 July 2014. This movie which has been in the making for some time now stars Reshmi Ghosh, Jeet Goshwami, Om Puri and Yashpal Sharma.

Cast

Renowned TV star Reshmi Ghosh features in Bazaar-e-Husn as Suman. While Om Puri plays the role of her father Kishenchand. Actors like Jeet Goshwami and Yashpal Sharma play pivotal roles in the film.
