Psychic TV (sometimes spelled Psychick TV) or PTV, is an English experimental video art and music group, formed by performance artist Genesis P-Orridge and video director Peter Christopherson after the break-up of Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV signs to Some Bizzare Label working along with Alex Fergusson, musician and producer from Alternative TV.
The band began publishing a monthly series of 23 live albums in 1986, but stopped without explanation after only 17. The tenth, a picture disk most commonly referred to as Album 10, could only be obtained by submitting tokens contained in each of the previous nine releases. The band subsequently earned an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for most records released in one year.
Contributors to Psychic TV have included artists such as Coil, Current 93, Hafler Trio, The Cult, White Stains, Soft Cell, Fred Giannelli, XKP, Master Musicians of Jajouka, Matthew Best, Daniel Simon Black, Bill Breeze, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson, Derek Jarman, John Gosling, Timothy Leary, Rose McDowall, Stephen Kent, Vagina Dentata Organ, Andrew Weatherall, Larry Thrasher, Z'EV, Zef Noi$e, Jeff Berner, and many others.
Sordide Sentimental is a French record label, founded in 1978 by Jean-Pierre Turmel and Yves Von Bontee, notable for its releases of early industrial music works by Joy Division,Throbbing Gristle, Psychick TV and others.
Roman P is a song by Psychic TV about director Roman Polanski.
"Roman P." was first performed in nascent form during Psychic TV's 1983 gigs. This early version can be found on the live albums N.Y. Scum and Those Who Do Not. Of the many versions of the song, the best known is the "Fireball Mix" (from the Magickal Mystery D Tour EP), which was featured in a mid-1990s Volkswagen commercial, to the confusion of many fans.
The A-side features the titular song Roman P. The B-side, credited to Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth and entitled "Neurology," contains a message from Mr. Sebastian, a spokesman of Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth, as well as collaged speeches by Charles Manson and Jim Jones which run simultaneously in different stereo channels, and references to Sharon Tate. The release was pressed only as a 7" vinyl record, but two different versions of "Roman P" and both B-side tracks later appeared on the compilation CD Godstar: The Singles - Pt. Two. Side B is a double-grooved track. The needle must hit the correct groove in order to play a specific track.
Maurizio Bianchi (4 December 1955 in Pomponesco in the Province of Mantua) is an Italian pioneer of Industrial music, originating from Milan.
Bianchi was inspired by the music of Tangerine Dream, Conrad Schnitzler and Throbbing Gristle. He wrote about music for Italian magazines before beginning to release his own cassettes under the name of Sacher-Pelz in August 1979. He released four cassettes under the Sacher-Pelz banner before switching to his own name or simply "MB" in 1980.
Bianchi corresponded with many of the key players in the industrial music and noise music scenes including Merzbow,GX Jupitter-Larsen,SPK, Nigel Ayers of Nocturnal Emissions and William Bennett of Whitehouse. This exchange of letters and music lead to his first LPs being released in 1981.
Symphony For A Genocide was released on Nigel Ayers' Sterile Records label after Bianchi had sent Ayers the money to press it. Each track on the LP was named after a Nazi Extermination Camp. The cover featured photographs of the Auschwitz Orchestra, a group of concentration camp prisoners who were forced to play classical music as people were herded into the gas chambers. The back cover included the text "The moral of this work: the past punishment is the inevitable blindness of the present".
Zos Kia (also credited as Zoskia) was a British musical group initially formed by John "Zos Kia" Gosling along with John Balance. This trio, along with Peter Christopherson on sound, and sometimes other guests, recorded and performed several concerts in 1982 and 1983 under the names Zos Kia and Coil, and some of this material is available on the Coil/Zos Kia release Transparent.
In 1983, Balance and Christopherson left to concentrate on Coil full-time. All material released under the Zos Kia name alone was primarily the work of John Gosling. After retiring the Zos Kia name, Gosling went on to record with Sugardog and Psychic TV and to work solo as Sugar J and Mekon.
The name "Zos Kia" is derived from the Zos Kia Cultus, a system of magic devised by British artist Austin Osman Spare.

Mr Sebastian was the Spokeman on this recording as well as the recording "Neurology" on the b-side of the original "Roman P" 7-inch released on the Sordide Sentimental label. The b-side was double grooved, with "Neurology" containing a similar spoken message from Mr Sebastian on groove 1. A little piece of live television that kept us busy one winter. Stephen Lawson (2boys.tv) was the dancer in the tube, Wayne Baerwaldt and Guy Maddin his choreographers. This national call-in show had a cult following in Canada. Many of the crew also worked on "Let's Go!" the kids TV show I was a child performer on not too many years before. The caller 'Paul' from Vancouver is my good friend Paul Lang. It's kinda hard to believe now that there was a national women's television network based in Winnipeg that employed a lot of the city. It's time for media mogul Randy Moffatt to come out of retirement and dream up a new project. NEW YORK STORY (2007) originally made as a video projection projected behind the band Psychic TV during their live performances. Breyer P-Orridge, also known as Genesis P-Orridge and (recently deceased) life partner Lady Jaye, have garnered attention in recent years by undergoing medical procedures to eliminate their physical differences. "One of the central themes of our work is the malleability of physical and behavioral identity," they explain, giving rise to their merged identity. The two intended to create a new gender, the pandrogyne, a hermaphroditic entity called Breyer P-Orridge. This video takes Breyer P-Orridges exploration of the fictional Self one step further. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge has gone through many transformations. Born Neil Megson, he became Genesis P-Orridge when he founded the influential avant-garde band Throbbing Gristle in the mid-’70s, creating the genre of industrial music. UK television programme "Riverside" interviews two members of Psychic TV in 1982. Featuring Genesis P Orridge in a rare television appearance.
London's Psychic TV talks to Scion A/V about chewing gum, angry love and not being on Facebook. Psychic TV was formed in 1982 at 50 Beck Road, Hackney following the termination of Throbbing Gristle the year before. Six months later the duo completed the nucleus of the new unit with ex-TG'er Peter Christopherson. By that time Genesis had already conceived, named and pioneered the genre "lndustrial Music" with Throbbing Gristle. Along with groups like The Velvet Underground, Throbbing Gristle is and remains one of the most influential rock groups of the last 30 years; if you haven't heard their music, you will certainly have listened to someone who has. In Throbbing Gristle, Genesis and company synthesized the influences and philosophies of Gen's close friends and collaborators, including B...

Why should I have to stand up and have to die for your sins?
All power/She was surprised/All power
All power/She was surprised/All power
All power/Lay in her eyes/All power
All power/Lay in her eyes/is it me/is it me
Could I lay here, could I be free
I see again/I see again
Everything goes/ everyone know
Is it me/Is this me
I go away/I see you say
And I die/could I be free
Or am I just what you see
And is just what I give
Everything and this what I see anything
and this what I give in my brain and this why I feel so much pain
or could I be you.
I see you say and I die
could I be free or am I just what you see
and what I give everyday...
...could I be you, could I be you
she was surprised...14'00"
